Is $699 a good price for this gun? Also, is it the mag? I typically only use quality mags in 1911s
That's a reasonable price and yes, the mag is the issue

@@flexpinoyI honestly can’t remember now. I went with the Springfield Emissary 4.25 inch b/c it was just to sexy to pass up. Plus the $999 price tag wasn’t that bad for the quality

Who makes the magazine that comes with the Negotiator, is it a Mec-Gar? What mag(s) did you use for the first (fail) attempt with defensive rounds and the later (after break-in)? I've had good luck with Mec-Gar & Wilson Combat, and recently purchased some Check Mate but have not tried them yet. I have a Tisas Duty 1911 that I love! Only issue I had was a 10-round Mec-Gar getting jammed in the pistol which I believe was defective. I was able to exchange that faulty mag.
The gun comes with Mec Gar mags. The self defense loads were in my Sig mags which are some of the best mags you can get for a 1911. Most 1911s need just a bit of running in.
How's the trigger on these?
I'm actually very impressed by the trigger on it. Very crisp and it is easy shooting compared to some 1911's

this is what i want to hear. i am sick of people calling good guns junk. just because you have a few hiccups doesn’t mean its garbage. my nighthawk agent was sent back 5 times before it was fixed. that’s a 7k gun
Thus is a good gun. I just can't afford the ammo to shoot as much as I would like.
