    Thank you so much for making this video. I understand this a lot better. Is it too much when facets have all together 104? Does it make the diamond appear more blurrred and have less value look on the diamond?

    Thank you for these videos, I was wondering if you maybe could do a comparison video of diamond versus cubic zirconia and moissanite! I'll be purchasing my first ring very soon and would really like to know the visual differences! Thanks in advance. - Nick

    Hi Nick. I appreciate the request and would be happy to shoot it for you but quite honestly I don't have or carry moissanite. :-/ If I get it in my possession I'd be happy to assist.

    Hi.... I have diamonds around two carats but when I check them under a loupe. It shows from thick to thin as I turn it around. Does it it's fake or just poorly faceted? Thanks

      That's a good question. Assuming you're talking about the girdle of a round diamond, it's normal for it to increase and decrease in size as you rotate the diamond around. However, if it's extremely thick or thin in some areas, that might be a concern and be poorly faceted. But in order to determine wither a stone is a real or fake diamond, I'd recommend going to your local trusted jewelry store hand having them inspect and test it. A diamond tester should be able to tell within seconds!

    The table is separate from the crown, not considered a "facet." There's four parts: pavilion, girdle, crown, table.

    • @DiamondInfoMan
      @DiamondInfoMan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, although the crown is made up of many little facets, the crown itself is not counted as a facet. When viewing a standard 58 facet round diamond, the table however is counted as one of the 58 facets.

      You are wrong. Table is the largest facet in a diamond.

      @DiamondInfoMan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think we're saying the same thing but using different terminology. I agree in that a table is the largest facet.

    What do u think of a leo? SI2 I color?

    • @DiamondInfoMan
      @DiamondInfoMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Color comes down to personal preference however we sell many "I" colored diamonds. So as long as you are not very color sensitive, it should be a safe bet.. To me, the rest depends on the price and (type/how eye clean) the inclusion is. I'd therefore need additional information in order to be able to offer you an accurate response.

      Thank you I decided the clarity wasn’t there for the price
