the supporter indeed has an impact on the player esp. the loud cheer does break the morale of the opponent. unless the opponent is deaf.will keep his focus on the game.
Bentsen had a Swedish coach which is probably why he had a good forehand despite starting playing the game really late at the age of 11. Maze on the other hand was trained in Germany and his forehand technique was really atrocious .
so disrespectful. They would never do that in asia, ever. Shows just how different the cultures are. I watched the whole thing hoping Chen would win it, just to leave that crowd speechless.
@@dickn.ormous1064 The ball was snapped between the thumb and fingers directly towards the blade surface, which was often just sandpaper, or even bare wood. (All that stuff was legal in the old days.) If you practice it for a few minutes it's quite easy to figure out. It's like shooting a watermelon seed, except bigger, and it can be shot out at various angles and weird spins. It is fired against the blade, angled so as to thence hit the table.
Dislike how Bentsen jubilates all the time, clenching his fists, shouting out loud. I know a lot of players do it today from time to time, but Bentsen overacts. It is hard for a table tennis player to stick to concentration when you are are behind AND your opponent pulls such a stunt.
max factor As a table tennis player I want my opponent to concentrate and me to concentrate to create spectacular points instead of winning by destroying opponents concentration.
In practice or presentation game. Yeah ill be cool, but in real game ill be a jerk who wants the f..king point by any means.... bcz i simply want to win . In future no one remember beautiful game, only winner will be in memories.
E Bonfigli "Our" Timo Boll is a good example of a table tennis player who values fairness over the uncompromising will to win and being successful the same time. He also supports and brings forward our sport. No need to adopt McEnroe (mis-)behavior. Don't get me wrong: showing true emotion is part of the game, but sticking to a certain level of respect and fairness makes a real winner IMO.
how come when the guy served and the Asian guy returned it and I hit the net and it fell on the white guys why did the Asian I not get a point because it bounced twice on the white guy said I'm confused
What a crowd! If TT crowds were this big and enthusiastic, the sport would be in a better place.

I have never seen a table tennis crowd so ALIVE as this
Chen stays my favorite for his kind attitude...with more offensiveness the result could have been different , 2 great players who give a great show.
Bentsen, high skills, panther like moves, and really smart table tennis champion.
I like the reaction and cheer of audience. Great!
i was at this event great memories and amazing atmosphere
After 0-2 they won 3-2. Great match and fight.
Great match

Bentsen have a very very powerful Forhand and Backhand also! That’s the Chen Weixing’s trouble
He’s my dad

That explains Timo Boll's atrocious forehand.
Bentsen does not know how to serve legally: he does not throw the ball vertically
He’s my dad
Whoever hikes his shorts up the highest, wins.
Don’t forget guys, Chen is pretty old around this time it’s not like this is his prime
Bentsen is old too,but it‘s obvious that he is good at deeling choppers
CHEN WEIXING Losed by audience

Ridiculous comment. Especially in Asia the crowed is shouting already during the point. Only in the lowest legaues absolute silence is requested... :)
Sara D'Angelo show me a video of asians being disrespectful *while* they are playing *before* a point is made. 'til then, gtfo
Is a cupped hand on a serve, legal now?
That's an obsolete rule, supposedly there were players in the 30's who added spin with their fingers but no one really knows how it worked.

You can see so much of Michael Maze's influence here!
Forgive my ignorance: is this Betsen related to Stellan Bentsen?
Two different names Bentsen and Bengtsson.
Similar surnames but.. Stellan Bengtsson - is a real legend of world tt, 3 times world champ.
Allan doesn't reach such tops

Fair enough. But I do not like the attitude.

Kan inte vara skolad i Kina !!

sorry for the typo I meant to say how come didn't the Asian guy get a point for it he lost the set because of that
Chen will get a point if the ball hit the net then hit the table on Bentsen side

yes. that chinese player is just some yahoo from nowhere. i have never heard of his name.
He's not Chinese lool
Actually, the bottom left had an Austrian flag. And also Chinese is not the whole Asia, but I never heard his name too.LOL
holik PC He’s born in China, but he was not good enough to make it to Chinese national team, probably why he moved to Austria.
I think he is the highest ranked chopper ever at 9th in the world at his peak. Even Joo se hyuk only got to 10th in the world
