I own the current version of this watch. The Altichron is the ultimate hiker/camping watch. Best watch for the money is a Citizen Pro-master. They're amazing.
WOW.... totally blown away. What an amazing dial and set of features. If this had a barometer too and was a full ABC I would be selling my rangeman in a heartbeat for this! Great review mate. STUNNING!
Hi Peter, Awesome review of the Citizen Promaster Altichron Cirrus. Your review is what tipped me to my purchase of this watch. I am lucky to say that I have No.71 of 500 of this edition of the Cirrus. This is one seriously gorgeous watch (some people will like it and some wont but I love it). True to your review it is a huge watch at 51mm wide but it does not wear very thick OR big (7" wrist circumference for me). Looks great as an everyday watch or as a dress piece. Love it all around. One thing in my opinion that may have been left out: The pushers seem to have an almost invisible tactile feel (meaning you dont get that satisfying "click" on pushing on the buttons. Just a springy rebound in my experience). Minor issue for me but may be a detractor for some. Price wise yes it is pricey at USD$1250 (which i managed to snag mine for). Would most people pay for it? No. Those that do decide to take the plunge, you get a great watch with awesome innards and a great design aesthetic. In my opinion the price is solely based on the design and material aesthetics of this watch. However all that being said, when worn and looking into that face, it really feels immersive and interesting to look at and I dont think I will get bored of this piece. Time telling is not as hard as people make it out to be. The lume is seriously bright and lasts a gd duration of time in my experience before it becomes totally exhausted. Lastly, I did some exploring and there is an adapter that allows conventional straps to be put onto this watch. www.suppaparts.com/bnseriesint.php
Yes Peter a lovely rainbow attired Multi depth 3D dial. After seeing your review I just found the standard Altachron Cirrus also in Titanium a 2014 Basel launch Ref BN 4035-08E which I believe is identical to your 5048 in all ways except those two pearl white casings in case sides are missing. My dealer is getting me this 4035-08E and I felt it will be a lovely addition to my Rolex collection. Will the battery stay always if I change fr it regularly? Citizen claims it stays fine if jet charged. Cyrus
It's a great watch, but I actually like the standard Altichron a lot. It's light and a lot cheaper. I end up wearing the standard Altichron way more often than the limited edition one.
A quartz watch that costs an arm and a leg without perpetual calendar, alarm, chronometer or timer. How nice is that?! You get the chance to have your date wrong quite often.
Funny thing is that you can buy the Promaster Altichron for less than half this price and it offers exactly the same functions, plus there's a moving inner bezel. I honestly don't get how this watch is worth it to anyone.
Between the fluorescent light reflecting & the moving around so you can’t fixate o the watch face that was the worst showing I’ve ever seen. I just bought an Alticron, sent back because altimeter was off 350’.
Yes. I think if you want adventures tools, reaaly worth it. And you can have nice ways to use this tools on your performance. This citizen is a beautiful piece... but I don't know if is useful to where I live and the things what I like to do... Sounds to me like if I was some important figure and I want show for everyone in my job about I like radical sports. Living in the rain forest, BraSil, I think suunto is better to me. The shape is more soft, smooth, tiny botons, like a second skin, less chance to twist in some obstacle. Try to see suunto elementum they have the same propose of this citizen, with a little more style. My opinion, offcourse. Sorry for my english, man.
Nice video but I dont think that watch would really work as a dress watch. I say that because of the colourful dial and huge size. Dress watches are usual simpler. And I don't mean to be rude but I found your long nails a little distracting 😥 you should think about trimming them for you're next video. Thanx for sharing 👍
Why no depth reader?? U would think with everything else the watch has. they would have made an ultimate watch if it had a depth reader to. So fuck this piece of shit. Ill just stick with the submainer until a watch like i described exists... I would give up a luxury watch for a fully functioning watch like i described.... and not a damn casio. I want it analog. Looks way better.

Did you get the BN4035-08E how was that?
Ma786sai Dua yes got the same one as in your video, BN4035-08E but released it recently. I did enjoy it till I had it.
Is there no AR coating? The glare is pretty intense.
Mirandu Kan I don't suspect so. I didn't see it mentioned in any of the specs, and I wonder if it has to do with it being solar powered.
Peter von Panda
Good point.
I don't know that for sure. I would think you could put some AR coating, but it just doesn't appear that they did.
Onde consigo comprar este relogio
Luminancee test please...
OMG! this watch is getting 4 years already yet the price is OA it cost you 💲3,590. Expensive than Tissot, Rado and Hublot .
hey mate nice watch! but does this tell what day it is also?
Joel Delaney Thanks! Nope, just the date... no day.
Jam ini brp jg anti air jg anti gores gk, bisa byr d rmh
The shale of the compass can be rotate on BN5035-02 or she still?
+Archy Raven I don't think it moves.
I'm looking to purchase this watch. Now that it's been a year, how do you like it?
It's a great watch, but I actually like the standard Altichron a lot. It's light and a lot cheaper. I end up wearing the standard Altichron way more often than the limited edition one.
Hi Daniel! I am interested if you still have it :)
Nope. But I do have a shipping address in US where you can send it.
how much does it cost?
+ΦΩΤΗΣ ΤΕΡΖΗΣ about $1000
+Peter von Panda from where can we order?
That's a nice watch......
Hello, I was wondering how can I differenciate between the normal cirrus and the limited edition one?
Wow 👍

Barroco.
Too much glare. Terrible glare on face for a product review
Just to peopple who never goes to the nature... Suunto is very best than this and half price... I don't change my suunto core on this...
+Victor Silvestre I've never tried a Suunto. Are they worth it?

+Victor Silvestre a suunto is completely different kind of watch. apples to oranges.
you look like citizen customer, man...
+Victor Silvestre well bend it on over here

+Slim7321 I use them as pointers.
+Peter von Panda fair enough 😁🍻
And for keying cars
+Peter von Panda oh yes of course. How could I have overlooked such an obvious and practical use?
Looks like a circus clowns watch! haha...
omg....looks like a watch a clown would wear. Good luk with that!
