The course was great , well explained and really sourceful , I am a phd student and I want to adress the multi and systemic impact of security of adequacy in low carbon systems in the future? . I have a question, may someone could tell me, please how we can calculate the worst case line, (the gray one) I dont know how can I choose the parameters, it is a random one, or I ll choose them based on robust optimisation results. Thank you soo much in advance
Hello Ma'am. Firstly thank you for such an informative video. I am a PhD student, and my topic of research is basically dealing with uncertainties. Ma'am, can you please suggests me about something regarding the implementation of these techniques in MATLAB. It would be really helpful to me.
Hello mam, I am a Ph.D. student. I want to learn about Power system optimization considering uncertainties and demand response. Can you please provide me with where I should start learning, how to code uncertainties, and power system modeling?
@@nehapatankar8792 Thank you so much mam. Mam can i get your email id, need to connect with you for more guidance. Please it will be a huge pleasure for me.
Actually mam my Ph.D. work is related to the multimicrogrid modeling with Heat and Power integration. The cost and reliability are the main objectives.
The question is about EVPI: 1- When you say the perfect information for tomorrow then the probability should be 1 and it's a deterministic. I'm confused when you took 0.5 probability and yet mentioned the perfect information. 2- How can we know the perfect information let's say the weather forecast. Is it a kind of gambling where you just guess and win the maximum? 3- Are both EVPI and ECUI the constants other than the two stage optimization steps? 4- Are both EVPI and ECUI mutually exclusive ?
Thank u mdm. This was very informative vedio.mam i am ph.D student. Iam doing research on robust optimization. Plz Upload a video on robust optimization and suggest a good book which will help a lot in my research work. Thank u
Hi namita, I am also a phd studend. And plan to learn robust optimization. Generally, it is not a classic textbook in this field. I know one book named "robust optimization" from gatech. But it is out of date. Currently, robust communities focus on the adaptive robust and distribution robust. Personally, i recommend you can read the paper or some lecture notes.
Great class! The explanations given by the end of the class were really helpful.
This video is what I am looking for!!!!

Great, thank you so much!
Any good reference book you can suggest for those who want to learn about these two from the scratch? Plz share , would be helpful, thanks.
