Butter chicken. Dinner idea

  • Butter chicken dish is known for it’s creamy texture which which comes from the generous use of butter and cream, giving it a velvety finish packed with flavours.
    Ingredients:
    Boneless chicken breast cut in cubes
    Plain yoghurt
    Curry spices( I used coriander, cumin Tumeric, Durban curry, chicken masala and biryani masala)
    Cinnamon stick
    Crushed ginger and garlic
    Large chopped onion
    Chilli 🌶
    Butter
    Lemon juice
    Fresh coriander
    Tin of tomatoes( blended it for smooth texture)
    Chicken stock cube
    Salt to taste sugar ( to balance/reduce tomato and lemon acidity)
    Instructions ~ marinate chicken with yoghurt, salt, spices and lemon juice for an hour or more, fry onion in butter with cinnamon stick for 5 minutes, add spices and stock cube, adding a bit of water at a time to allow the spices to cook for about 8-10 minutes, add chicken and cook for 5 minutes, add tomatoes ,sugar , water and let it simmer until everything cooked and the sauce is reduced, add cream and cook for about 15 minutes, garnish with coriander and serve with basmati rice or roti😋
