I swam in the Amazon River. You are not trying to avoid crocs and piranha. We were fishing for piranha. They do not bother you. The crocs are in the back channels of the Amazon. There are plenty of dolphins you will swim with. #10 Ouro Preto - Been there 3 times. It is an awesome city. The small inland cities look similar to this. It is a tough city to walk in with the steep inclines of the streets. Been to Sao Paulo many times. Yes, the city goes on forever. I do not like SP. It is too big. I want to go to Pantanal - there is some awesome wildlife there. There is a large amount of deforestation going on in that area. I was just in Florianopolis in April this year. It is awesome. Was in Manaus in September last year. We did not like it. The city is dirty and needs some major infrastructure improvements. We took a tour of that opera house. We went to that market. We went to the meeting of the rivers. Been to Rio a few times. There are better beaches in the Northeast.
