I know from personal experience that the recipe is 70+ years old. The original was 1 can of fruit cocktail(in syrup), 1 box Jiffy cake mix, & butter, in a 9x9 pan.
Omg thank you! The last few years just haven’t felt like the holidays to me so I’m decorating a TON to make it feel more festive around the house! Thanks so much for watching ☺️
So what size baking dish? Does oven timing change? Think all this should have been done prior. will try because how easy you made it. My partner hates cinnamon. Allspice??
Use a 9x13 if you have it. The oven time should not change because the primary job of the oven is to melt the butter and give it enough time to incorporate with the cake mix. The butter will still melt at the same rate using a 9x13 pan. As for the allspice, I’d use it sparingly. It’s got quite a bit stronger punch to it than cinnamon so I think it would be quite easy to go overboard with it quickly. If you do try it with allspice, let me know how you both like it! Thanks for watching 😊
The pumpkin bread and pumpkin spice mochi are my most recents! Stay tuned to the channel, there will be a bunch of cookie recipes coming out for the holidays!
You are 100% correct. I thought something was off after filming and I double checked and it was a few inches bigger in both directions 🙃 just bought some proper sized baking dishes! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Dump cakes are meant to be quick and easy in a pinch…not homemade. Sorry if that isn’t your jam but that’s literally the definition of what they’re supposed to be.
This is just an ordinary "Dump Cake." I was expecting something different because of the "Apple Pie" in the title, but it is not a pie, nor has anything (other than using pie filling) to do with pie.
Perfect for us pie crust challenged bakers. Looks delicious.
Yes! I am right there with you! 😂 thanks for watching!
I have avoided dump cakes because I always have dry spots. Thank you for telling me what to do about dry spots!! I will try this.
You’re welcome!! Thank you for watching ☺️

Thank you!☺️❤️
I’m going to have to try this when I don’t have Covid 😮 Everything tastes like water right now but this looks so good!
Let me know how you like it when you make it! 😊 feel better soon!
@@RyanPerlmanCooks It was delicious 🤤
@@michelesiger6890 I’m so happy you enjoyed it!! Thank you for letting me know! ❤️
Could you put the mixed batter on top instead of the dry batter with butter?
Do you mean like mixing the cake mix with melted butter instead and pouring that on top of the apple pie filling?
no.
Wouldn’t you be better off to melt your butter to have it cover everything?
Looks good. I think 3 cans next time.
I agree 100%! Thanks for watching ☺️
Good and Easy… what more can I guy ask for. Thanks handsome! 😉
So glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching ☺️
Ok, I get it!
If you’re interested at all, I do have some other videos with some more complex baking! 😊 thanks for tuning in, Rick!

I would opt for nutmeg, if your partner likes it, to replace the cinnamon. Using about a third of the amount.
Ill look for them

Better measure the baking dish. Looks like a really big 9 x 13.

ok, I see. With all the time you will save you can spend a couple of hours taking in Family Feud and The Price is Right. I know I would.
That’s the spirit! 😂😉
What a cop out!!. You might just want to go to the grocery store and buy an apple cake. Its even easier.
Dump cakes are meant to be quick and easy in a pinch…not homemade. Sorry if that isn’t your jam but that’s literally the definition of what they’re supposed to be.
This is an easy dessert with ingredients we already have in our kitchens, without a trip to the grocery. A perfect thing for children to bake.

Very sorry to disappoint you
I'm going to try this with canned pears and canned whole cranberry sauce. I've done the apples, there too sweet.
Let me know how that comes out bc that sounds delicious! Thanks for watching ☺️
