FSU Baseball: The Noles & Vols are ready for a battle in Omaha!

- The Florida State Seminoles baseball team is preparing for their 24th College World Series appearance in Omaha. The Noles must come out swinging as they will face their toughest test of the season against the number 1 national seed Tennesse Volunteers. I used to be a huge baseball fan, but it became a completely ignored game, MLB or otherwise. Tennessee baseball captured me a few years ago and Holy cow it rekindled my love of baseball!
I love to hear that and can totally relate! I was a baseball fan growing up (Sammy Sosa was my guy!), but my fandom faded as well. Mike Martin's last few seasons got me back into it, but then we sucked for 3 years lol This season has really made me love it again.
It's been a great postseason for college baseball so far, and I think the sport is going to grow rapidly. Appreciate you tuning in!

I’m a Tennessee fan but i gotta subscribe after this I love watching another teams fan give their perspective without throwing in backhanded disses or hating. I really hope this is a great game. Never thought I’d enjoy baseball so much having never played.
Appreciate that!! I've always tried to be informed and respectful when it comes to the opposite teams. Of course, we'll have a little fun here and there. Now, we will throw a few jabs at Florida and Miami 😅 But that's what rivalries are for!
I think this will be one of the best games of the tournament. I'm excited and nervous to draw the #1 seed, but if you wanna be the best, you have to beat the best. I'm excited about this matchup even if it means drawing the #1 seed in game 1. If you're gonna be the best, you gotta beat the best, and what better way to start the series than beating a team like Tennessee if they can do it.🤞I won't lie. I'm a little nervous, too. 😅 Mostly because I want our baseball program to finally win one.

Arnold is the starting pitcher... it's not gonna be easy. The kid is a K machine and I'm a Vol fan. Immaculate innings are quite the achievement... if he was not pitching I'd easily give the route to the Vols
100% agree there. Carson Dorsey has been good in the postseason, but it has to be Jamie Arnold against a team like Tennessee. And he's gonna have to be on his game and keep his pitch count low. I'll be worried if he can't give us at least 6-7 innings.
Our offense can score, but I suspect it'll be how Arnold's day goes that decides if we win or not. It's gonna be a tough battle. I'm excited and nervous, but I can't wait to watch it! Appreciate you tuning in!!

@hobonickel840 he did! Dorsey has actually been better than Arnold this postseason. Jamie's been a little up and down, but when he's on, he's hard to beat. We're gonna need Conner Whittaker to be able to go in game 3, but he threw 71 pitches in Friday. Our bullpen always worries me, though. Especially against an offense like Tennessee's.
It's past time FSU was in the SEC. Can you imagine the seasonal matchups?
100% agree! That's why, personally, I would prefer it over the Big 10. The regionality and matchups would be awesome! That LSU series was really fun!

Fl state has that 1 pitcher. UNC is way deeper. UNC scares me more then fl state as a Tennessee fan
Going to be a freaking fun barn burner imho. Gotta stay with my Vols to call of course but close with moderate high scoring... UT by 2 with both scoring 5 or more... going to be exciting though... I'd go higher but larger field and the best pitchers going.... if UT can score it's average 9 then they don't lose in Omaha, imho.... in my homer opinion 😆 🤣 best of luck when not playing my Vols:) much love TNJR

@plantthespear Holy crap we called that barnburner but my lordy what a game. Y'all had us whipped for most of the game and the best of ours clutch ending, fantastic ball game.
