There seems to be a smudge on your lens bro by where the speedo is... Also, I couldn't agree more. I would've never thought the car would be so legendary when I watched it over 10 years ago on top gear!! The car is an absolute beaut. I just can't believe audis going down that route of making their engines smaller, all new rs Audis will have 2 litre engines just watch... These cars such as the b7, are from the era when car companies went all out and made cars for the people and never really had to follow rules. It's sad to think we will never be hearing, experiencing cars like these as cars gets older, we will see fewer on the road. I just hope before 2040 when there will be no more sales of petrol combustion engine vehicles, that all car companies give us their one last Horah, and go all out with a full fat v12 on all their flagship vehicles. It's never running out of ideas with you, Albeit you do car reviews, but managing to get hold of a car every single week granted you're fairly new and don't have the highest subs in the world, I know it's not an easy task bro! I appreciate the content you push out and I hope others do understand how hard you work on these because I can tell it's not easy. I'll be back next week. I wonder what car you'll have next!
Haha yep couldn't seem to get the smudge off unfortunately! And I agree, the period of time when this came out we were getting V8's and V10's in family saloons left right centre, it was crazy. After finally experiencing a car from that era its just makes me want to drive more older stuff, I pretty much got my license when the industry was already moving over to turbos. Doesn't sound bad at all but I agree 350+ tq higher in the rev range will leave you wanting during daily driving. If you don't give your passenger(s) a little whip lash with quick throttle adjustments, there's not enough ft.lbs.

The last of the true RS cars, better than the B8 which followed. Pedigree, thoroughbred, driver focused and exceptionally beautiful from all vantage points. These are now classic Audi's. There is nothing watered down about them. They are raw analog and look the business even still today and I believe that they always will. An Audi enthusiasts car and a debonair chaps car who likes great engines, is cultured and enjoys fine wine. Today's newer cars appear silly and politically correct when compared to this.
B7 RS4, E39 m5, W211 E55, some of the best cars ever built, so much fun in a saloon, affordable, looks amazing in my view and for a car with 4 doors there absolutely amazing cars (W211 E55 is the best though in my opinion )
Yeah definitely one of the best RS audis made. I think modern hot hatches will be as fast or slightly faster, won't leave it for dead. You can really chuck this car into bends, in a way that some of the modern hatchbacks just can't replicate.
Adam Altaf yeah it would kill this performance wise being a turbo. However the b7 rs4 will always remain a classic being the last NA and also being the best one of the handling rs4 and also the best sounding rs4. Taking nothing away from the b5 rs4 it's still an amazing machine even after 16 years.

Great video buddy! I have owned mine for 2 years now and it STILL puts a smile on my face. Milltek exhaust with the sport button on and the top down is a sound to die for!! Very heavy on the fuel though as you pointed out! I get between 16 and 18mpg, but you know what? It's worth it!
it does put a smile on my face 100% not now tho she is cozy warm in storage I live in Canada! The only complaint I have is the gas consumption! But who cares at the end of the day Iam smiling the whole drive !!!!!

I Run a Manual 2006 A4 6 Speed and keep telling the wife about the V8. 😀❤👍🇩🇪🚔🚔🚔. That is as sweet car. The V8 model well. Being American well U know we ❤ V8.
That was always the dream car i wanted, the body is soo freakin wide. But the engine makes to much struggle with the FSI problem (dirty intake), so you have to make a BEDI cleaning every 20'000km, otherwise you lose the power more and more. Some of them had about 360 hp instead 420, the internet is full of treads about it. Thats why i bought a M3 F80 instead, you can still rev high with the twin turbos like e NA engine. But still, i would like to drive a b7 one day.

Yes the info you shared about the seats, read an article in a magazine that said the very same thing, a real nightmare, many cars being writen off because of theft of the front seats. Great vid thank you.
Nice one for looking past the on paper specs. I knew it revved to over 8k but always doubted the drive was that great with the lowish by todays standards torque of 317. Eye opener about the seats cost!

and make sure you take it above 5K revs.....all the power is at the top, its a rev hungry animal, which goers against the usual expectstions of a V8.
