    The weird mouth sensation is from it not being ripe enough! Wait until its all like jam inside and it wont dry your mouth. Its really sweet and yummy spread on toast! Sometimes they take weeks to totally ripen.

      Yes,use to think that too.and now it is my favorite fruit to make smoothie when it is super ripe.just the fruit and milk,taste like and texture like ice cream😊.easier to peel when it's frozen

    lol. We had persimmon trees growing up but I don’t remember ever eating any of them. I don’t think we had them bloom too often. 😂

    LOL fuzzy mouth. I bought one once...then it sat in the fridge till it was almost rotten. I never did try it. Great review!!! BTW I crushed your sub button. I hope it still works... lol Dusty mouth.. now I am wanting to try one!

    Persimmons are an amazing fruit. This was an astringent variety meaning it has to be very soft and fully rip before you eat it. Otherwise it will dry your mouth out. This persimmon wasnt fully ripe. A fun experience but you only want to try an unripe astringent persimmon once.
