You sound like me struggling up & down the stairs going to & from the subway. Was in NYC a couple of weeks ago and my friend was laughing at me. I told him we have no subway stairs in NC Lol!
We have a bunch of high hills in Charlotte, High Point, Greensboro, Winston Salem and the other Piedmont/Foothills areas of NC. The same down in Atlanta I would love to see Action Kid try walking up and down the hills located all over those cities including in the central city areas. For the New York subway stairs to bother you I take you are from the flat Eastern coastal plains region of NC.
@@antjams I live in Greensboro. But only walk on the track. Age really has nothing to do with it but I am also 64 yrs old & haven't ran to catch a subway or up hills in years. Time for me to get on the elliptical Lol!!
Impressive street, impressive walking! Seems like the city could put a bench about half-way up those stairs for those who do that hike. Thanks for taking this awesome video.
The street used to be 2-way. I drove up it once and the intersection at Alvarado is scary as hell because you can't see anything out of your windshield but sky... you just have to hope there aren't any cars crossing your path.
I feel for you AK I feel like I'm walking up it with you my legs feel the pain lol. Looks like you've gotten your workout for the week all that climbing. I bet you'll feel it the next day
I lived in Echo Park, on a hill off Landa and me and my Brother went up Baxter during rain storm and it was scary, our Jeep slid all over but we finally got up to crest.
You get an awesome workout walking up those streets! Imagine this street in a cold climate where there's snow or ice..LOL...now that would be something! Also a good thing to show in your videos in these areas are the homes, would be interesting to see how they look on those hills.
Cams and vids often do not show enough perspective to indicate how steep grades are. Being there, I can tell you, is steeper than even this very good vid suggests.
🌹🥀You made me so tired coming down all them stairs big congrats you made made it thank you for taking us along looking forward to mang more great videos be Blessed 💜🙏🏽🥶
You've walked through Baxter Street a few times, and it was a treat when you walked here during one of the livestreams! Didn't know this street existed. This Angelino is seeing more hidden gems thanks to you!! 🤩
They should call THAT area Hollywood Hills!! I was sitting down watching this video, and by the time it was over, I was out of breath, and my legs hurt!! lol :)
AK you are so amazing. I wonder do you spend Two days if Researching the Area to give an Comprehensive dialogue of your Journey. Keep up the great work. I do not think I can do a great job like you. I spent time at the Brooklyn Historical museum and Copy photo. Sometimes I wish I have a Time machine to go back in time. Kenneth I use to have a friend Peter Chan who looks like you that brings me to a New Club Scene every week in San Francisco. San Francisco is a Mini New York City. Worth checking out!;
That street is so crazy! I would not feel safe AT ALL living on that street...if a car loses its brakes and goes out of control, it's likely it could be heading right into your living room!!!
You are always fun, even when you suffer.:) But i'm not worried much cause you know your roads and your safety! I have huge respect for you! Keep going strong! We are here to support you and enjoy! Bless you! :)
You are amazing my friend! 👏 👏 That is an insane part of LA, hill wise. You have legs of steel! I love how you said "What happens if you have to stop I the middle, you're screwed baby" at 16:30 🤣 😂
Your videos are refreshing and very much appreciated. It's like a video chill pill for all of us still feeling a little stir crazy and kind of trapped. Thanks man.
The streetcars in San Francisco on the hills are cable cars, not having a trolley pole on them. The cable is several inches below the surface. Trolleys are used mainly on level ground The overhead wire is charged by 600 volts of electricity.
So appreciative of this video but also concerned bc it's WAY TOO MUCH in 1 day and working some muscles not used to it and this is true of anyone at any age or fitness!
10:48 3 signs; hill 30% slope, hill blocks view, 15 mph. Guess have to use 2nd or 3rd gear going up? What about down on the streets that are similar? Haven't driven hills in years so don't remember.
That was awesome! I've driven through these streets and some that are hidden in the silverlake and echo park hills but i've never walked up those hills. Great Job @Actionkid!!You have to be in great shape to do what you just did!!
Don't get sissy on us. I grew up on these hills in the 50s-70s, and I was laughing when you said that when you got to the top there would be stairs to take you into Elysian Park. Nope. You still had more hills.
I live a few blocks away. I was debating doing sprints on this street. After watching your video, I know I have to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow AK! Walking Baxter Street is like walking up and down a roller-coaster. Thanks for taking one for the team.
Another gorgeous hideaway part of LA. It's great that you're sharing these pretty parts with everyone.
Yes I've think he's been to parts of LA most natives haven't explored.
Good workout AK
@@Des_Zee I’ve lived here my whole (long) life, and haven’t been to most of these places…..or I have many years ago.
A hideaway that's tough for people to trek up and down!
Hello Ak. Those inclines are mind-blowing. Some look over 30%, too. You're a beast for walking them bro.
Keep it up!
32% grade! The driveway inclines are even steeper!
Beautiful, easy to go down, this is why I fell in love with Moving to LA
The person in the car took a double take at seeing someone walk those hills. Bravo, AK!

Awesome perspective! Amazing how the view of the mountains unfolds, that is really steep!
It's the steepest street I've ever climbed in my life!
You are so brave to walk up and down these very steep hills! I got very anxious just watching 🤤
Impressive street, impressive walking! Seems like the city could put a bench about half-way up those stairs for those who do that hike. Thanks for taking this awesome video.
The best one of many vidios from you, thank a lot for taking us to go with you to see houses on foothills, stay safe and healthy AK ,appreciated!👍🙏😊
I love these types of videos. What a beautiful blue sky!! What about the mail carriers? I bet theyre skinny. And the never ending stairs holy cow..
I couldn't imagine delivering mail to this street!
I used to have a friend who lived on Baxter st, but it was off echo park street in Silverlake.....
Great effort of walking up that steep hill btw.
Thanks for the kudos! I wonder how your friend enjoyed living on this street.
The street used to be 2-way. I drove up it once and the intersection at Alvarado is scary as hell because you can't see anything out of your windshield but sky... you just have to hope there aren't any cars crossing your path.
I like your videos, you really capture the real-life moments, with your virtual walks👍

I definitely felt it!
I’m loving this LA content stay for the whole summer ☀️🔥.
That street must be dangerous during the rainy season! I can't imagine the torrent of water coming down that hill!
It doesn't rain in LA. It's as dry as the Mojave desert
I lived in Echo Park, on a hill off Landa and me and my Brother went up Baxter during rain storm and it was scary, our Jeep slid all over but we finally got up to crest.
@@nicklizardo313 Wow, that must have been scary!
It was the last time we made that mistake. Which is why I could not stop looking when AK was up there.
@@nicklizardo313 thank God it doesn't snow in LA.

When you did this on your live stream I could not believe what I was seeing. I have never seen anything so steep with type of incline it’s insanity.
It's so ridiculous

I see you lovin' LA..been down there a long time..😉..great content!
On a bright note, the home owners don't need to pay for flood insurance. Thank you AK
You've been putting up some amazing Videos AK.
Yes there are steeper hills and streets in San Francisco. But this one is close enough. Thanks for the video.
I think this might be the steepest hill in California actually. I think it beats SF.
Great job. You truly go far and above for us viewers. I would have given up just by looking at the first hill.
1:27 why is nobody talking about how this person didn't put on her seatbelt, this is evidence for the police lmao
I appreciate your trip up this incredible streets and stairs. You should have arranged for a friend to meet you at the top of the journey!
Man, props to you for walking UP! I'd only be able to go down the street 😂

Steepest hill that i’ve ever seen and like you said on video ” i could call this is a mountain ” as well !!! Poor mail man etc …🤔
Like a rollercoaster
LA looking really good.... but dadadadamn.... thats one hell of a hill....
We have many streets with an incline that much or more in Cincinnati!

Dude, that's like Street I live on in southern Utah and it snows here in the winter. it's not so bad, you get used to it. LOL
Your videos are refreshing and very much appreciated. It's like a video chill pill for all of us still feeling a little stir crazy and kind of trapped. Thanks man.
Good Job AK. Video camera recordings just don’t give this incline its proper justice. Baxter Street is a terror to drive on.
I agree, I was there in LA on Sunday & was shocked to see so many steep hills.
There's a free workout group called November Project that occasionally do hill repeats on this road. I haven't done it yet, though.
beautiful LA
better than boston
In Manhattan, there's a hill going up to Grants' Tomb

Don’t get sun stroke. Don’t work too hard. If you start at 5 am it might be cooler. I walk early due to heat.
Great exercise! Bring a bottle of water with you!
Echo Park - Thats where the most underrated one man band - Elliot Smith lived and died. His music is the best I ever heard
Imagine freezing rain in that street
Thumbs up ActionKid good job.
No other pedestrians up in those hills says a lot. That was a remarkable walk up and down and up and down and up and down...
No homeless around. Too much work!
Try Pacific Palisades. There are some crazy steep hills there
Sir plzz can u tel me which camera u use for vloging?
Man, these LA walking videos are awesome. Those mountains ain't no joke. Be well.
AK, you should check your heart rate when doing this. Just because you're young doesn't mean you're immuned to a stroke. Concerned fan................
You're creative keep going✨✨✨✨✨..

My crazy idea was to walk the entirety of Western ave, from Hollywood to San Pedro in a straight line of concrete
did you ever do it?
Love this channel 💯💯 I be in some of the same spots on my channel 👍👍
Next time you should bring a Sherpa. 😳
Would your scooter be able to make it up a 32% grade?
Baxter Street is where the skateboarders go for downhill fun!😊
Congratulations ActionKid. I’m exhausted just watching you. 😂
You must be have 4 by 4 car for that kind of the street. You always need to check your break and tire.
Flying Tesla video brought me here
😂
That was awesome! I've driven through these streets and some that are hidden in the silverlake and echo park hills but i've never walked up those hills. Great Job @Actionkid!!You have to be in great shape to do what you just did!!
6:54 look at all the skid marks on that road from tire slippage!
no offense but those skid marks look delicious
Nice mountain views on the West Coast you should see the drive between LA and Vegas look like Mars
Watched you do this live. It was fantastic. And I agree with John Frye's comment. You're really showing us unique places.
Wow! I had no idea LA had steep streets like that. Thank you Acton Kid for showing this
It is beautiful there, I must say ... don't forget your SPF. 😉
There are streets like that in Pittsburgh. I would hate living on one of those. It makes me nervous just watching you!
You are not supposed to rely on your breaks to go down a hill like this! You always put the car in low (1) !!!!
Looks great for sledding after a snow/ice storm.but I don’t think they get terrible weather.
Have you seen Art Pepper's photo on Baxter street?
Unbelievable! You are positively amazing AK! 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
No bees, hummingbirds, horses, or dogs on that walk 🤣 Great stream!

Wow that’s Cali for ya !
Good job.
I wonder if in December there is fog there at night at times.
@ActionKid would never get a scooter up that thing, that's for sure.
😯 wow!
That hill would not be on my runaway road in an apocalypse
WOW!!!!
Now THAT was a walk! Five gold stars! 🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇
How long are you in LA for ?
Canton St. In Pittsburgh has a 37% grade and it snows there. Steep streets in warm climates don't count.
Hills of California, great for bike riding.. ✌🌅😂
Watching those cars, I bet the auto transmission and brake shops in the area do a pretty lively business, lol.
Action Kid, komm mal nach Rheinhessen (Deutschland) ,da ist es auch schön hügelig!
Wow, you’re a tough New Yorker, I’m exhausted just watching this bideo😅🥵
Great
