I know, right?! Literally this show is perfect for adults too. I showed this to friends of mine in college and when David pulled the book out of the teacup in the beach episode, one of them fell to the floor laughing in tears.😂
here's the thing tho... We never got to know what it was like back in the 90s. No internet at all, grunge, late nights out getting in trouble. And they never got to know what it was like back in the 70s and 60s: Cultural changes, things to be apart of, things to stand for. And it wasn't our fault that all we had were some quirky little flash games, nick jr, and a scary video with a car driving on a grassy hill. The generation now is working with the hand we dealt them. And then again, people from the 70s and 80s probably only saw apathy and not caring out of the 90s folks. But they could never see how special it was to be there. And all the 90s folks could see in us are stupid images on the internet and "Wow, we had the time of our lives while these dorks are laughing at what... their little minecrafts and their stupid pewdiepie or whatever? They don't even PLAY the games. They watch someone ELSE play it for them.". But they could never know just how special those little flash games and nick jr and the scary video with the car were. One day they're gonna grow up and they're gonna look at that weird skibidi toilet thing and cocomelon and ohio memes and fortnite the way we do to that nugget in a biscuit video by tobuscus and caillou and rage comics and minecraft. They were stupid but good memories (just like the generations past). I'm saddened by the fact that we're falling into the same trap of being bitter boomers and "ONLY 90s KIDS WILL REMEMBER". We have learned nothing. We couldn't possibly understand the memories these kids might be making now. That said, the ipads are kinda concerning in terms of a mental health stand point. Hopefully parents stop giving their children ipads. It's not good for them. TL;DR: The Upside Down Show is friggin incredible and screw the 80s.
Alternate side to this show where they're completely trapped in the house because there are no ways out, every door leads somewhere else, and they dont even care because they love it so much.
Might I remind you that they've been outside the house on several occasions on this show. Picnic, Museum, Marching Band, Air Port even the outside button on the remote. All outside the house but still connected through the magic doors. They're not trapped, they just don't leave very often because they're having the time of their lives everyday. I mean what would you do if you owned that house.
18:04 Shane dances Dave: Say something Puppet: you say something Dave: you say something Puppet: he's your brother Shane: What? Puppet: I told you not to let him move in XD XD XD XD That's my favourite part of this whole episode XD
Given that if what Dave says is true and it was complete improv, it's shows how good they are at what they do, even when put on the spot with little to work with. I'm not saying I would do better. Indeed, quite the contrary. The less I have to improv, the more effective my performance tends to be.
This was the first thing I ever saw from the show. I just turned on the TV and 13:51 appeared.
