I noticed the spark plug doesn’t have the tip that most plugs have. I’m new to 2 strokes - Does the PW 80 need to have the “resistor cap?” on the electrode part of the plug? Having a heck of a time getting my to start. I’m down to pulling reeds for inspection.

Get up in there.. also does anyone know why my kx250f runs but when i give it throttle it backfires and runs like garbage i got a new carb it didnt help timing and vauvles are perfect it has compression can someone pls tell me what it needs
Backfiring usually occurs when there is a lean fuel mixture, too much air and not enough fuel. Make sure there aren't any cracks in the carb boot. Also verify that the jets in the carb are the correct size, your main jet might be too small.
