- 6 THINGS WE LEARNT FROM CHELSEA 0-2 MAN CITY. Chelsea 0-2 Man City highlights saw a comfortable win for Man City at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea 0-2 Man City goals were scored by Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic. Chelsea's first Premier League game of the season was marred by a poor start for Enzo Maresca as Chelsea struggled to create too many good chances. Chelsea now look forward to their Conference league game against Servette on Thursday! Let me know the 6 things you learnt from Chelsea 0-2 Man City in the comments below!
YES GUYS! Sorry the colors a bit off in this video, I accidentally recorded in HDR mode on my phone! Will get a video out again tomorrow for the Joao Felix news, have had a terrible headache all day today and not been feeling great!

i learned that chalobah is important in a system to invert the fullback because he can move from rb to rcb, that's why we were so good in our last five games last season
Green box for Cucurello imo. Played with passion. Forced Man City to switch players around because they couldn’t deal with him.
Loved to see doku switching sides, hated cucu in the beginning but hes shown work so
This hasn't been said enough, he literally made pep move doku to the other side because he couldn't get passed cucu@@rafaellima221
Caicedo and Gallagher playing together worked
Just saying 😮
Yes bro. Caicedo is a star without enzo
That’s bc of poch tactics since he likes runners. Enzo is more technical so he’s not going to be in favor by poch.
Totally true
Am also Gallagher is so aggressive for win

Looking like Lando Norris
starting XI that would be perfect for the squad available yesterday: jorgenson - gusto - colwill - fofana - cucurella - lavia - caicedo - nkunku - palmer - madueke - guiu
Been saying this for more than a year. We are better without Enzo but managers feel obligated to play him, because of his price tag.
Another pogba issue?
Thank you so much
Enzo is playing close to the striker which kills his ability to create from the back.
@@MBryn he has no ability to create anything. he's an overrated player. how many assists does he get? Gallagher got more than him last season.
Enzo flop player
Sanchez was lucky he didn’t give away a goal when he passed out directly to KDB. What happened to Petrovic, he was ok last season.
I did not feel bad when we lost honestly apart from Kovacic banger when we felt like we were going to get an equalizer. We will get there with time. We have an easy fixture going forward and those are the maximum points we should collect. Lavia talented.
Neto will fire,
Felix will improve our creativity in the final third,
Fofana coming good,
We need a good striker, Victor possibly,
Enzo Maresca is selling a good idea.
Let's have faith and support the team.
Don't forget to mention Sanchez was as awful as Caicedo and Fernandez for that second goal
Lavia should be on 90 minutes for all important matches moving forward 💯
I thought he was going to bring Noni on at some point; he would have brought with him some creative spark
I believe we're on the right path with Maresca🎉🎉🎉
As an Argentine who’s seen Enzo play for a very long time idk what has happened to him. The quality is still there with the passing but he looks so slow and unfit. It’s like he doesn’t run anymore. Mb the hernia is still bothering him? But these last 2 years it’s like he completely lost his athletic ability.
Hernia will do that to you, he is still young and im sure he will get back to his best
You’re so spot on about the atmosphere at the bridge. The issue is, apart from the shed end and Matthew harding, the tickets are just being sold to tourists with money, or hospitality packages who are not really die hard Chelsea fans. We only have 40,000 capacity give or take but now it’s just an American owned tourist attraction
No surprise the atmosphere was poor at the Bridge when the heart of the club has been ripped out.
Massively agree re-atmosphere. Both ends are noisy but the West and East are far too quiet. That's what happens when tickets cost more than a long weekend in Europe.
This is nothing new, it's been the same for years.
Old Jackson. Got to track the line. Most offensive players touch and de ision making.
Defensive challenges
Goalkeeping faux pas. To his credit he made some saves.
Game changed when Doku moved from right to left. Savinho became a menace. Doku kept Gusto occupied.
Missed the link-up between Gusto/Palmer/Madueke
Nkunku did not get much service on the left. Early play was down the right.
Noone gets much serve on the left because ENZO just doesn't move the fucking ball forward. That's why everyone looks so shit on the left wing. We need a proper 8 and 10 to fucking get the ball to our wingers.
Brilliant George love the 6 things we learnt class👍
Enzo wasnt as bad as everyone sets him out, Watch when he gets Felix back and when he is played as the deep lying playmaker, that is where he will thrive and show everyone that he is THAT guy
he is just not good enough. Too slow
Enzo played some lovely long balls yesterday and helped stretch the game. Chelsea don’t have any players that can play those long balls. Not even lavia did that. We just don’t have that striker to make those runs.
Enzo was very lazy in that game ,he wasnt creative at all .i dont hate him but i think he doesnt have what chelsea is looking for .he can hardly move or break lines with the ball .all his passes were long ball , cole is better in that position.
Lavia deserves a blue box bro Bension
I'll repeat the conclusions that any clear-thinking Chelsea fan reached after last season, in case someone at the club reads this and passes it on to the coach before it takes him 10 months to figure it out:
- Enzo offers nothing going forward and even less defensively, so keeping him on the pitch for 90 minutes just because he cost a lot is f*cking stupidity.
- If we want to score goals, Nicolas Jackson cannot be our first-choice striker.
- The fact that Madueke didn’t get a single minute today, to quote Drogba, "f*cking disagrees."
Agree with the first 2 points. Enzo is not suited to this league or maybe Chelsea. He was a passenger on the field and cost us a match.
The subs by the coach made it worse. Nkunku & Lavia could have stayed. Unless he was worried about injury
@@blueheaven4838what about point 3?
Don’t you think Madueke with the whole preseason deserved at least 15 minutes?
@@GazowanyMaciek was still thinking about point three but was wanting to type hastily. Yes. Can't understand why Madueke wasn't played. The coachs decisions are strange. Why why 😭😭
Ending last season was a crazy 5 wins. Madueke and Mudryk played on the wing. Enzo didn't play at all.
@@KBA-KBA-KBA
I don't agree. Unfortunately, nothing will come of Mudryk. It's a mental issue. I watched his Champions League games live because I'm from Warsaw and had the chance… he's a shadow of the player we're seeing at Chelsea.
Madueke is a different story; I think his ceiling is very high.
I’m glad someone is finally talking about the shocking atmosphere at Stamford bridge. Fans around the world would absolutely love to be there.
If Fernandez is our new captain, we’re stuffed. He is not a leader !! Get us a world class CB and captain, the rest will fall into place.
Bruv, people are being so harsh on Enzo, Palmer Jackson, cucu, Sánchez, had a worse game than Enzo. He can’t play in the number 10, but still, he tried to press even when he is not a player that usually runs and have a high press technique, he tries to make a lot of opening passes, reset the game and make it wide but no striker we’re good enough to create great chances, you gotta get the agenda off, Palmer who is our best player had an awful game and still got a yellow for some reason
All i learnt is we need a goalscorer pute and simple! It's the same circle all over again!😢
On Enzo Fernandez I concur with you. He does not mark, he is just good on passing. He should come in as a substitute
When the video started, I was expecting George to say "FLAME ON" 😂😂😂😂😂
Enzo is jorginho 2.0. He’s just a little more mobile and a little better at finding a nice pass. But he’s not another KDB like some people would have you believe. He’s no Fabregas either. And it’s absurd that they’ve spent so much and still don’t have the goalkeeper or striker they need.
They should just get fabregas and hazard replacement and add a better striker and not necessary osimen
@@oolaolalekan5226 if I was going to splash tons on a player it would be my striker and GK. Not a midfielder, unless it’s someone like Bellingham. Not a winger unless they’re generational and proven talents like Vini, Mbappe, or Hazard. Chelsea spent over $200m on two midfielders and still look mediocre because they don’t have their striker or GK
Unfortunate reality is that most top 6 prem clubs have created a 'prawn sandwich' atmosphere - that's largely down to rising cost in tickets that regular die hard fans just cannot afford anymore. Going to a game is a treat for your birthday or a once a year event - it's not the same as 15 years ago where 75% of the crowd are in there week in week out.
Downside of the PL now being a global sport attracting global superstars
@@Xyzfob463yeah as someone who comes from an upper middle class background and is looking to go to games even I’m baffled at how they’re so expensive, I was hoping to go to quite a few home games this season but I don’t think that’s realistic with these prices, makes me sad knowing that a working class fan has basically been priced out of chelsea
Can't really blame the crowd though, thought we were fine. The team didn't really give the crowd much to shout about
@@lukebashian5591 I think it’s also a function of the UK cost of living going up but not supported with increase in jobs and salary; whereas in countries like the US (perpetual) and newer countries like China/India people are getting richer and are able to come for these expensive games. The demand for the PL is worldwide and people across the world have started getting that buying power but UK while still ahead, the average middle class has not seen a rise in wealth
@@Xyzfob463 yes it’s definitely true, and another part of it with chelsea specifically is the stadium capacity doesn’t match the size of the fan base, realistically we need a 65k+ seat stadium
I want to see how long it takes for Anthony Taylor till he Refs another Chelsea game 😂😂 The EPL Agenda is real
The Ref will not help ChelseaFC to score.
ChelseaFC is ruined and being run by clowns 🤡
Thank you so much for seeing this obvious thing.
And you think Roman loved us😂😂 WHY he never said anything about him?
Literally owners of greek clubs, go and meet the refs in person after every questionable game... In England everyone if sooo calm n complacent.
You raised a good point George, the atmosphere is not good simply because based on the pre-season, everyone has seen that our team is not working together as a winning in the past. Thus, we as a fan don’t have high expectation. Just like what you said, losing 0-2 to Man City in the opening game is totally within our expectations, I don’t expect we could win before the game starts! 😅
I actually thought George is using some skin care product 😂
Agreed with everything said here. As an Australian fan I visited Stamford Bridge last season for the first ever time, sat in the western stand and the atmosphere was non-existent, there was a few of us who would join in with chants whenever they were being sung but for the most part the stand was either in silence or just complaining about stuff in the game.
The 6 things I learnt from this match:
1. Lavia has to be first name on the team sheet next week, he was excellent during preseason and in this match, our midfield looked lost when he left the pitch
2. I think Marescas subs were generally good and at the right time in the match, however I personally would’ve subbed off Enzo for Neto and moved Nkunku or Palmer into that more central role. I think both Palmer and Nkunku struggled to get into the game out wide.
3. Jackson is a great player until he gets into the box. His link up with other players and ability to play on a counter attack looks really promising. I think a signing like Victor Osimhen would bring the best out of Nico Jackson to improve his decisiveness inside the box.
4. Touching on the atmosphere again. As much as I loved Conor Gallagher as a player, I don’t understand how singing his name when he’s not involved is going to help the players currently on the pitch. The fans in the stadium need to get behind those that are on the pitch and bring some more positivity around the ground.
5. We lost 2-0 to the best team in the world. That’s not something to be too disappointed about. We’re miles off where they’re at as a club but the system looked quite good today and I thought we dominated the match for a vast majority. The difference was how clinical each side was in the attacking third.
6. Enzo Fernandez is wasted in this system and I’m not sure where he fits, I think in an ideal midfield at the moment for me it would have Lavia, caicedo and Nkunku or Palmer with cucurella inverting from fullback.
I don't think we can write him off. Enzo Fernandez was involved in all the 9 chances Chelsea had including 2 potential penalties not given, even though he was not in his best position.
Same old excuses,, was not in his best position,, this bloke played the last two seasons in his 'best' position and contributed to nothing,, since his arrival he has not accomplished a man of the match performance
@@kingdabwin4032did you forget enzo v Liverpool last season ? He was the best player on the pitch and man of the match? Everyone including pundits were raving about him after that game. He was also one of Chelsea’s best players for the first 6 months when he joined. People have short memories 🤦♂️
@@kingdabwin4032 I mean, even ignoring the fact he was playing through a hernia for half the season or so, Enzo was _not_ in his best position under Poch. He was in his best position under Potter, Poch played him further up as a box-to-box midfielder that runs a lot more than Enzo should. Caicedo was ironically better suited for that role, which he showed when Enzo got the surgery and Caicedo was moved further up.
Not about to say Enzo is a 100 million player, don't think he is, but he hasn't played in the same position since coming to Chelsea. He has been getting moved up with each manager, until Maresca basically played him as a 10 this last match.
Though we have secured the services of Felix...but I feel like we have enough in that position...I feel like we needed osman more than than a midfielder.
Bring us Osmen and see how teams will be kicked ..we are already good .
Neither Guiu nor Dewsbury -Hall is a better player than Sterling or Gallagher .The moment Moresca made his awful 2nd half changes, I knew we'd lost the game. He changed better and proven players for the unproven ones in a match we needed to come back from a goal down.
You are absolutely on point about Lavia and Enzo. Lavia was outstanding yesterday, even in pre-season matches. Enzo Fernandez looks like the weakest link in the team right now . He is too slow in the middle of the pitch and not creative enough.
Only one thing matters, WE need a top class keeper. Then we can worry about the rest. Klopp buys Alison, pep Ederson, RMadrid Curtois, Arsenal Raya, Etc etc, no team wins or challenges with bang average GK
I agree with the first box, the fans are meant to be the 12th man, they are a long way off that.
If we consistently lose coming from a situation where we were used to winning this is what happens
My advice to Enzo Maresca: Start the players with the quality to guarantee results, not the players you're hoping to adapt to your tactics.
Actually, although it's sad to say it, your assessment although chock full of negativity, is pretty much spot on!
Not really going out on a limb here, but Enzo Maresca, the new ex-Leicester City head coach, is pretty much starting as he means to go on. . .
Not winning football matches . . .
An anonymous Christopher Nkunku; Enzo Fernandez just doesn't belong in this team, based on 'on-the-park' performances; Romero Lavia not really match fit, nor prepared; Fewsbury Hall doesn't realise that this is the premiership; Pedro Neto flashy, but no real substance etc., etc; Cole Palmer a free role?, 'to do the dirty work that Conor Gallagher (now sold to Atletico Madrid) used to do' but obviously without the same relish; and, the assisting, finishing touches that Raheem Sterling is better at doing; as ex- England manager Gareth Southgate found out, to his and the national side's cost. . .
England failed to win a Euros Final second time, because their match winner wasn't even selected, who'd scored in the World Cup!
Sterling has only been around Chelsea for a couple of years and one of the last survivors of previous Chelsea squads of '5 different head coaches' in that time:
1.Thomas Tuchel, 2.Magic-free Graham Potter,
3.Super Frankie Lampard,
4.Maurizio Pochettino and now
5.Enzo Maresca to stick in his tuppenyworth.
Well, let it sink in, that with Sterling not playing yesterday, it is the first time The Blues lost to Manchester City recently; and Sterling not even on the bench and scoring against his old club as usual!!
(And, probably because the Americans have destroyed in a couple of years, what it took USD $Multi-Billionaire Roman Abramovich 19 years to chock fill Stamford Bridge home stadium trophy rooms with multitudinous, quality silverware pots; (ie 2xUEFA European Champions League; 5×EPL, 2×Europa League, European Super Cup, FA Cups, World Club Championahip etc., etc.,) but not a single one added by new American owners, Todd Boehly and Behad Eghbali of Clearlake Consortium. . .
It's about making money to the Yanks, not winning football matches, and they've ordained it so; in order to get £360k a week, 29 years of age Sterling, off the books; like tub-o-lard Romelu Lukaku, and before 2027. . . grabbing the pure profit from Conor Gallagher, Trevor Chalobah and residue of also ex- Chelsea Academy graduates Billy Gilmour, being sold on by Brighton to 'Antonio Conte's' Napoli, and Dominic Solanke, being sold on by Bournemouth to Tottenham
Hotspur!!! or
wherever), so you do the numbers . . .
I'll be hog-tied and done from the rear, with the rough end of a pineapple, 'cos Chelsea are getting the sh*tty end of the stick here . . . If you'll pardon my
mixed metaphors.
1 -5 ROBert Sanchez should NEVER play for us again
6. Nico Jackson should be a back up striker he isnt ready to lear the line. We need an experienced out and out striker with that true dominance presence that knows how to score goals from every angle.
Bonus Madueke or Sterling should have played. We need wingers who aren't afraid to attack directly.
Why is everyone acting like Enzo didn’t put 2 key passes that should have ended on goals for us? Our forwards finish those chances and all of a sudden enzo did his job but we have shit finishers, lavia played so good, caicedo was so mid once again and nobody talks about that only enzo is at fault? I get that enzo is slow and he doesn’t defend very well but he brings something that neither caicedo or lavia bring tbh for me it has to be either caicedo or lavia with enzo bc we need someone to create something
Because in a loss, people remember the bad more than the good, and Enzo was slow and lost the ball too often for someone in what was essentially a 10 role.
People are salty over losing the opening game and will make dubious or middling performances sound like a sackable offense and make good performances sound like the second coming of Messi.
@@nicolaszan1845 i know lol, but apart from lavia everyone was so mid, well cucu did good too, but nkunku as a winger doesn't work and palmer was ass too ngl, we can't be shocked that we lost to city tbf we gotta be patient but everyone is throwing shit only at enzo, if you see that kovacic goal look at levi cowill always going backwards and never getting aggressive, we do need osi tho if not is going to be the same season as last years
The atmosphere in the west stand has been poor for years and it breaks my heart when I think of the times singing in the old shed and even the benches but this is what we got now!!!
Come on GB, Palmer actually gave the ball away more than Enzo, need to stop the Enzo bashing it’s not the real issue here, Jackson had a stinker.
Dude our club is actively being destroyed by this ownership. We currently have a 42 man squad with Felix on the way, five different managers, and despite all the money we’ve spent we still find ourselves mid-table.
Finished 6th last season. Now we have a full season of Palmer, nkunku, Joao, neto, lavia, fofana, cowill and a healthy Enzo. How are you see that and thinking it's going to be worse?!?!
@@zer0ag3nt😂😂😂😂 did u add Enzo? That guy who can’t even ran or create chances
@@siabonganomvete8509 the dude played through a hernia last season. That would be an injury
@@zer0ag3nt dude, we can buy all the talent in the world, but if we keep changing players and managers every year we’re never going to succeed. Not to mention selling all your homegrown talent for the sake of pure profit.
@@ceasefire9000 I agree with you there. Long term this can't continue but I would argue that our team now is poised to compete on all fronts in the next two seasons. We haven't won the league in 8 years. I don't know anyone outside of Tamori and Guehi that would start in the squad that rolled out Sunday. We had something like the second youngest ever squad to start a season, we are clearly building for the future. It's opposite of how chelsea have operated for the past twenty years. Ffp has changed the game, Roman couldn't do what he had done even if he was here. It's all a massive gamble, it could pay off, it could fail miserably.
I am on loan at Fulham FC, if Clear Lake FC loses to Wolves, Fulham will be able to exercise the "Option to Buy" on me as a fan.
Sanchez absolute liability. I’ve been selling it for ages now bloody useless he will let us down time and time again punched the ball into the net for the second goal omg why are we playing him!!! Price
Maresca will learn this the hard way.
Sanchez did good in that game
I always watch yout videoes after the matches, and it’s spot on. The amount of frustration the last two season have been unbearable, but your videos make me excited to hear other chelsea fans opinions, both in the video and comments. Let’s get thru this season. City is difficult to face for every team, but there was moment that showed some of the players level. Up the chels!
Enzo plays deeper in midfield for Argentina and is regularly one of their best players, we need to find a way of playing him deeper IMO, he didn’t win the World Cup and copa America by being a bad player, I just think he’s not being played in his best position plus City have been doing this under Pep for 8 years, we are literally starting from scratch, this is definitely going to take time to work if it even ever works, you could have driven a bus through our midfield and the defenders weren’t great either, good be another long painful season for us
Enzo is not good enough for premier league.
@@ckecikarlocry more
Eeeeeeh, not sure he's consistently one of our "best" players. He definitely was a standout in the world cup, but since then De Paul in midfield, Romero, Martínez and Dibu in defense and goalkeeper respectively have all been consistently a level above Enzo. That's also without mentioning Did Maria and Messi up front.
He's been pretty good, if a bit inconsistent due to the hernia, but he also isn't one of the key figured to win matches for us. I credit a good amount of our success to De Paul playing alongside Enzo and taking some pressure off him, allowing Enzo to sit back deeper and pass to who needs the ball. It's a specific setup that unlocks Enzo's usefulness and range as a player. We can see Enzo's quality drop massively when he plays with someone who isn't of that profile, like Lo Celso or to a degree even Macalister.
Enzo doesn't have that partnership in Chelsea, and he plays much further up to boot, surrounded by opponents.
😂😂Ok. Enough of these BS excuses... Show me when Pep had been training Rico Lewis n Oscar Bobb for 8 years... Simply,MC has BE -TTER players. NONE needs 277272 months to learn a " system". For god s sake...
@@YaelEvreuklovicyesssssssss👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Palmer is our best player and he needs to get more on the ball, keeping him on the wings is such a waste of such a player
I've seen more than one rival fan channel express the feeling that Chelsea has the worst home atmosphere of any club they visit (one was Newcastle, admittedly a high bar).
Enzo F needs to step up, We got 5 straight wins without him at the end of last season. The LFC won't work if he's not ready to play ball and I think the money on him is the problem. Again we should not worry much bcos Fofana, Lavia, and Colwil didn't have much last season, allowing the team to gel. The idea of Chelsea fans wanting instant success will not work anymore. You can't keep going the same way and expect a direct result. It will work out in time. Trust the process. KDBFFH💙
@@OldBoy1905we won't win anything with Enzo on the pitch. The stats prove it. The 5 games he wasn't there was a blessing for us
If Sanchez is Maresca's number 1 then we're doomed
Here is what needs to happen for the midfield - we need to switch to a 2-3-1 … lavia and caceido need to both be on the field to protect our defence; lavia can make the killer passes just like enzo.
Mydrick needs to in the middle running forward with threats where he was best last season with neto/Jackson on the left and palmer/maudekee on the right. As for the striker … lets pray we get osimhen
GEORGE U ABSOLUTELY RIGHT
THAT ATMOSPHERE AT THE BRIDGE IS TERRIBLE
The heart of bridge is gone..........
Sanchez=💩.. with a proper Striker we win this game
@@OldBoy1905 how cann you complain about thé midfield lol... Clown
I thought Fofana also had a great day yesterday! Coming back from injury he was very proactive in defense.
I agree with your point on the atmosphere, it's been the same for a while now but you can't really blame us, we're all a bit fed up with everything that's going on
100% youngsters squad meaning no one's capable or experienced enough to be the captain or even mentor the players on and off pitch. Giving them time to experience doesn't mean anything when there's no one to be the example. Enzo as captain even though he's high on ego doesn't even make sense to me...
we used to have influencial players like rudiger who can live up the team, experience players like kovacic, silva and azpi for making mature decisions for the team. All these players made the youngsters (tammy, mount, james, havertz, werner, pulisic, gilmer) shine and even gave us the champions league
6 things we learnt
1. Sanchez is crap
2. Enzo should be sold to Barca
3. Jackson is stealing a living
4. Palmer needs to play behind the striker
5. Buy Ivan Toney
6. Their will be another new manager in the dugout before next season
Enzo isn’t the problem. Enzo should be playing deeper spraying passes not high. Keep in mind he came straight from copa America to Chelsea and didn’t get a break. Same with Palmer (euros) which is why all of them were tired towards the end of the game before they conceded. Nkunku isn’t a lw and the CBs (mainly Colwill) aren’t good enough
Barca can barely afford their own players, what makes you think they have the money to spend on a guy on contract until 2031 or something like that
Well done George , on the amosphere ur right im on a cfc site , they just dont stop moaning they look at the cfc of years ago this is new begining
Beautiful break down from George Benson...nice assessment ❤️
But George - the East and West stands have always generally been pretty quiet, especially since the redevelopment of SB in the 90s. Just before you was born, we used to have crowds of 17,500 - 22,000 back in the late 80s and early 90s with only sellouts for the big games - but we had great fans who followed Chelsea over land and sea. Great fans who sang even when we were crap. Do you not get it yet? We're like Man utd now - it's all about big business, profit and globalised shirt deals. We've sold our souls - we charge crazy sums of money for a day out to the bridge. Our true core support has dropped - because it's become a rich boys plaything. Not just that, we now have a divided and 'entitled' support. The support at the bridge won't settle for a while until those at the top stop being total a-holes and learn to treat the decent fans and good players who care about the club with more respect. Perhaps it will settle down in time. But this ownership, these directors need to take a good, long hard look at themselves and what they're doing. They will be judged accordingly - in due course, by the fans - because it's the fans that make the club, not the boardmembers. Not these NFL wannabes. What they do to the Chelsea squad over the next 11 days will define this club this year. i.e. what they decide to do with players contracts who they don't want in the squad. It will be their fault. It was their choice to rip the whole thing up and start again (without asking the fans). It was their choice to appoint whoever. It was their choice to overfill the squad and leave disgruntled players playing in the U21s. It was their choice to get rid of leaders and experienced players who could assist and support this team. This season we will find out, if it's worth it. Maresca needs a good, healthy run of wins to win our fanbase over - just like Poch needed time. It will be the fans who will decide next April - whether they are happy at the end of this sh*tshow. Just saying...
U are ABSOLUTELY right about the atmosphere. We’ve seen conte, mourinho and even Poch animatedly signal the crowd to cheer up the players. I think it’s a shame constantly hearing the away fans cheer their team in Stamford bridge. The real problem is that there are just too many players playing for positions. This ownership are a shambles putting this kind of pressure on the coach and the team.
The goal that Sanchez conceded for 0:2 was a disgrace. Even a goalkeeper of a children's team will not allow this goal. Enzo Fernandez was like a turtle on the pitch. Only superlatives for Lavia.
Enzo has not justified 50mil of his price tag. Forget 105 million quid. What did boehly see in Enzo....
Wasn't the keepers fault
@@blueheaven483830m value.that all
@@eliwinifred164It was, the ball was close to him with not alot of power thats a basic save for keepers at this level
George, we have seen wingers throughout the pre-season. Enzo swapped to a narrower system to play City. I thought that was smart, and we could have gone in level with a tiny bit more luck.
Lavia coming off was a game changer as he played so well.
I was quite positive after yesterday actually.
George, be careful about sounding too much like Rory Jennings.
Gg you are absolutely correct for Enzo Fernandez. He is out of shape mentally and physically for Chelsea. He is becoming slow and slower
Spot on, need someone creative at 8. Lavia was great so hopefully one of the 100m paper weights in midfield is dropped to allow a proper 8!
I totally agree, Sanchez shouldn't be starting and Lavia was our best player. But to be honest, the end of the first half, we played well
I thought we played OK and I could definitely see an improvement on the pre season games. Geez give the guy a chance.
Felix at CF with Nkunuku (left), Palmer (CAM), and Madueke (right) would be a nice attack.
Truly believe that with all the games this season across all the comps we will be in, the larger squad will come into its own. Being able to keep everyone happy is always a risk, but I think it could pay off. 🤞
“Trust the process”. - Enzo Maresca 😂
Ughhhhhhhhh I trust Lampard more than Maresca.
It’s only his first game, remember arteta had some horrible results his first few months and now they been in two title races
Maresca more worse .lowclass coach that clownlake hire🤣🤣🤣
@@gamingwithglasses4544 , hmmmm
This will be the third season where we're saying the same thing, "there's a lot of new players" "we have to trim the squad" etc. it's madness.
Just out of random curiosity george, why do you have to take the box's on and off the screen? Can't you just like I don't know, leave them on it? Your cutting back to a full view of yourself for literally zero reason....been watching you for a couple of years and younes but I can't understand the editing one bit. Keep up the good work, but some of us like to skim videos here and there.
What’s with the sunkissing bro 😂😂😂😂
First lost game into new season under new coach agains best team in the world and Chelsea fans already putting red boxes all over :)
Enzo is the only player on the team who can pass the ball through lines. If you want a double pivot of Caicedo and Lavia, we'll not be better than Moyes's West Ham (pivots all over the line up). Enzo is indeed having a rough time. But is by far the best footballer of the team.
The enzo I saw at the wc was not this slow. Even when he had just joined Chelsea he wasn’t getting beaten as easily. The hernia is clearly still affecting him he needs to be allowed to fully recover but forcing him into the team is going to hurt us a whole lot
Second goal was a free gift
I agree George. I don’t think lavia caicedo and Enzo cal all play together at the same time. All like to occupy similar spaces. Need to pick two and replace the one that gets drop with more of a number 8/10 like player. Nkuku felix or palmer should play the Enzo role in the city game.
Much of east & west stand rarely vocally support the team. That’s why I’m in the MH! Agree with your opinions though George.
Making noise and getting behind the team is a must at Stamford bridge. What I disagree with you on is the whole standing up to do it part. If I've paid for my ticket, I want to be able to see the game
As a Chelsea fan from the states who has had the privilege of seeing Chelsea live once at the bridge(the 4-4 draw vs city) I definitely got lucky with the atmosphere at the west stand
Main differences between this side and the one that finished the season playing so well.
Enzo is running things instead of Caicedo
Gallagher is gone
Chalobah is gone.
Neither Nkunku nor Palmer need to be running things or trying to orchestrate. They are the arrows not the archer.
Also Hall is Gallagher Light
Neto is not an improvement over Mudryk
Good vdeo considered and thoughtful without histrionics
exactly right..Palmer and Nkunku can only be 10s behind the striker..not wingers...there was no need for Enzo,Lavia and Caicedo to all start..
Enzo was in his position due to his pressing, kind of needed against city and maresca couldn’t have known how poor enzo could’ve been
The truth is...somebody needs to be ruthless with this squad,we gut enough players to bench underperforming ones like enzo
The atmosphere has been like this for years, I have been going 40 years since my teens and it really has dropped last 3 years, I have to be honest the fan base has changed
Hit the nail on the head with the atmosphere box, the East and West stands may as well not be there
I completely agree about enzo.
Nkunku does his best work in central areas. Definitely not a winger. He was completely wasted on the flank. You have a fit Nkunku in God knows how long, and you waste him out on the wing. That was most disappointing thing for me yesterday.
George is more orange than the accents on the away kit😭
I liked the line up need to keep the 3 as DM tuck Nukuku and palmer in to 2 tens and use the fullbacks, need a goalkeeper and striker
Enzo is absolutely bunkers when he tries to controll the ball in the box
We deserved more from that game, but it's all good
Maresca will have them playing well very quickly. We’ve got a fabulous squad with plenty attacking options. Osimhen has to be brought in, he’ll make a huge difference, with Felix and Nkunku behind him and Neto on the left, with Palmer on the right.
Agree about the atmosphere, however chelsea right now have lost the connection with the match going fans, if Chelsea want to create a connection with the fans, then chelsea need to give the fans something to cheer about. The players need to step up and deliver something that gets the fans excited. Remember there has been so much change, that I feel the fans are just not engaged with the Club. Maybe if they spoke to the fans instead of treating the fans like crap. You might get the atmospher your looking for and I am speaking as a match going fan who has seen more changes than you George, only because I am older, i normally sit in the middle tier on the East stand..
