After looking around for something in this category, I initially bought a Demerbox but was a bit disappointed. I then went with the Bose Soundlink Max. The sound quality is superb with great bass, it's waterproof, and gets pretty damn loud for it's size.
He's correct . The recording mic couldn't handle the dB. I wouldn't base any opinion off of this sound test. However, good explanation and editing. Much respect.
Hi, with the EcoXGear Defender compared to the TurtleBox 2, which is loudest when played at max volume. I have a Soundboks but need something with similar volume and size but also waterproof and more durable
Does the turtle box get hot out in the sun? I have an outdoor Bluetooth speaker for under 100.00. It sounds awesome. 100% waterproof. But it overheats while we are floating down the river.
I couldn't begin to guess. But if lithium ion batteries are charged regularly they will last for thousands of charginging cycles. But they will fade with time. That's why I'm a fan of swappable batteries.
@@EverydayMan man I really appreciate your response. I just started on the build of my stereo for my motorcycle. I just finished a video to upload. I’m checking with a friend how to post my video to get views unless you would love to help.

Ecoxgear and Turtlebox sound almost identical. However, I have no faith in the Ecoxgear brand. I bought Ecoxgear EcoXBT and EcoRox speakers in the past because I thought they were durable. They were not. Their batteries did not last long and water seeped in to the speakers.
@nandogroa i actually floated down a river recently in a tube with the defender tied to it floating on its own for several hours. It didn't miss a beat.
The soundboks is ok but way over priced, i had a mackie thump go with all the same features as the soundboks go, and the sound was almost identical, but get this, the mackie thump go retails for about 250-300 on amazon. I ended up going with 2 everse 8’s, got each for $400, and they blow away anything else on the market in the same catergory. Ecoxgear is a game changer though
I haven't heard a makie go, but I don't think it's splash proff and nearly as rugged as any of these. It doesn't have nearly the battery life as the soundboks. I was thinking of rugged speakers with this review and the soundboks feels indestructible.the everse is more than the soundboks right now but looks interesting.
The fact that the company Soundboks still exists is a clear proof that the products are not overpriced.. You will not find a product with similar quality, sound, durability and usability as Soundboks regardless of the price range.
Great review! I just got my EcoXgear bluetooth speaker and i absolutely love the sound. Thinking about adding another one for my outdoor deck
@@ssecruiser thanks! They sound really good, 2 would be great!
I don't buy, but a speaker enthusiastic person, so your video started recommending to me that means your circle is expanding ❤keep this quality

Great video, and great editing!
@dylanmatherne9452 thanks!!
Cool to meet you in person camping this weekend! Keep doing what you do
@jayman2069 that was cool to meet a subscriber. It's only happened a couple of times before. You found out you can't beat that Soundboks!!

what was the song you used to test the decibels on the ecoxgear in the previous video?

Will the ecoxgear and the turtle box pair up together? Asking because family members have the turtle box but I want the ecoxgear.
@jeremypowell2962 no they wont.
Soundboks has a professional style horn driver compared to a more tamed tweeter on the other 2
The price point and size are just massively different. I was just wondering.

Exogear boulder pretty dope too
I hope they send me one to review.

can you do a decibels test on the soundbox go
131 dB is what I got. Here is the video.

@@EverydayMan is this speaker like a lot louder than the ecoxgear or is it just louder because I'm curious if the ecoxgear kinda keeps up a little
@isaacthepro293 it's in a different league than the defender or the turtle box. I only had in in there because it is also rugged.
@EverydayMan okay also how much louder is the ecoxgear than the turtlebox?
@@isaacthepro293 they are close. But the defender has noticeably more bass.
The soundbok seems to have a fuller sound and better imaging.
