    You are an absolute pleasure to watch, always searching for positive things and expressive true happiness when finding them. I contrast that with what seems to be a world full of people who focus on looking for negative experiences and expressing absolute outrage because of it. You are one happy, puppy-like dude and a true joy to behold!

    Bought my 2015 ES300h last September, $24K USD and only 45K miles. Drives like a dream. I’m very particular with instrument panel designs, I much prefer the screen recessed and set back. Todays cars appear to just slap a tablet on the dash, very poor look in my opinion.

      EG would never have traded 2017 ES 350 for 2019 ES 300h for same reason, 2019 a definite upgrade but not for $25,000 or so. But since it got totaled, and I had a good year...

    Another great review, man! Loved the comparison between the generations. That really shows the advancements and manufacturers alignment with consumer demands. The Lexus lineup has evolved from boring appliance-like cars to upscale luxury automobiles. In the past, Lexus was a brand I reserved for the older generations, but as you showcased, they are attracting Gen X & Y with their sporty and multi-dimensional designs.
    I'm still a huge fan of that LC 500, OMG! But totally appreciated this review of the ES Hybrid. Terrific review & totally subscribed and excited to see some other cool car reviews you have lined up. Keep 'em coming!

    Hi Sergei. Welcome back. You always look like you are enjoying yourself behind the wheel. By the way, what trim level was the new es300h. I know you guys can't get the es350 out there if i'm not mistaken. I am curious if someone like me that has a 2019 gs350 fsport could enjoy the luxury aspect of the 300h. I want you to elaborate a bit. Not comparing the 2 of course, but in general terms, how do you feel when you need to accelerate on the highway? Thanks

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jose 😃 Thank you so much for following me!
      Both ES in the video are the Luxury grade which is the entry level in Aus.
      You definitely could enjoy the luxury aspect of the ES300H if you were to change but I will say from experience you will miss the feeling of all that power in the GS. It’s funny though because anytime I jump into the ES I find myself playing a game of how much fuel can I save and how long I can stay in electric mode 😂 But as soon as I jump into a 350 being a GS or ES I instantly fall back in love with all the power. And it’s incomparable on the highway in terms of accelerating but still very adequate.
      Hope this makes sense 😄

    • @josefernandez2722
      @josefernandez2722 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SergCarReviews Thanks again for your input Sergei. I wasn't thinking about giving up the GS. I was thinking about adding a second lexus in the form of an es300h or a rx450h or rx350. I haven't test driven any of the hybrids to know how they feel. Now Out of curiosity, does 215 horsepower in a hybrid feel the same or different than the same HP in a nat aspirating engine?

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s awesome Jose and since you say that it’s a totally different story haha! Now in terms of feeling I can’t say it does but that’s probably because of the CVT Transmission that Lexus use for their hybrids. If I was to compare a rx350 and a rx450h (which I might do in a few weeks :) I’d say their very comparable in terms of how they drive but we’re now talking about a V6 hybrid. I love the ES300h because it gives me the comfort of a sedan and a really smooth drive. I’ve actually been driving a Sports Luxury RX450h for the last few weeks and I gotta say they’re such a good suv! It’ll really come down to your preference though 😄 hopefully that helped somewhat 😂 Let me know how you go 😃

      @@SergCarReviews Thanks so much Sergei. I really appreciate your input on this. I can't wait to read your comparisons on the rx350 vs rx450h. I don't know what a cvt feels like, nor it's comparable reliability vs a reg transmission. I've also heard from a couple of reviewers, that they we'rent that pleased with the 8 speed of the rx350, but most readers enjoyed it. So i'm a bit curious about the difference between the two. Stay well my friend.

  • @cclenergy3033
    @cclenergy3033 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I owned a ES300h 2018 which is the old model. It's really comfortable and acceleration is really awesome. But something really disappointed me a little bit is the fuel efficiency. Though Lexus cliamed 5.5, I usually get 6.5, my partner will get 7.9. Does the new model having a bigger battery which will allow to drive in battery model on the freeway for more than 5 mins at a speed around 110KM/ per hour?

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, firstly thank you so much for watching 😄 So something about all the fuel tests for every manufacturer is that it’s done always under the very best conditions which include something as simple as having the aircon switched off. Here in Australia we can’t even live without Aircon! So the fuel rating I’ve noticed after driving it’s a lot especially around town wouldn’t get past the low 6’s and usually used to sit at the high 5’s with aircon. This model can actually sit on EV up to 105klms. The previous model could only get up to 50-60klms.
      Anyways hope this helped :) let me know if there is anything else I can assist with 😄 Serg

      I’ll say this between a 2021 ES and a 2013 GS,
      Driving experience - ES is great for smoothness and overall comfort, GS for driving pleasure and overall performance, handling and stability.
      Bumpiness and stability - 2021 ES is as smooth as an older GS and absorbs incredibly well but front wheel drive doesn’t give you the control and direct responsiveness that a GS does.
      Are you planning on upgrading?
