The funny thing about Blake's bow is that its so obvious that every single reactor i've watched has either caught it right away or dismissed it as being too obvious. its a pretty well done twist, you can see hints of it all through the season.

I know I'm 2 months late to this - but my friend introduced me to this show way back when, when season 3 was releasing I think. And the literal first shot of Blake, I remember myself double taking and saying "Does that chick have CAT EARS??? Oh, no it's a bow, my bad" Because I didn't know that faunus were a thing so I never questioned it 🤣 My friend watching it with me about spit out his drink when I said that lmao, it was so funny.

@@furihime494 Huh. Maybe they changed it over time. But I feel like I remember, in the very early days of RWBY, that Monty had said she got her scar elsewhere. Maybe I'm mistaken. But I feel like that that was a big point of discussion back in the day.

It's a series of huntsman and huntresses from another world… based off fairy tale characters.
And historical figures, like Joan Of Arc or Coco Chanel. Or memes, like Nyan Cat or the gold/blue dress. Basically just whatever the creators thought might be cool.
Also, it's absolutely criminal that based on Belle from Beauty and The Beast. A sword wielding cat with tall boots, who gets the upper hand against the rich and powerful and helps a lowborn ally rise up to a position of prominance and they decided *not* to make her Puss In Boots. What the hell lol.

You lads have to do a video of you reacting to the four trailers. Watching all four of them in their entirety and discussing them a little should be enough for a video. They are some of the best RWBY content out there, and canon.

This was awesome! I can't believe you guys are reacting to RWBY! Idk if you guys have reacted to, or are planning to react to, the trailers, but they are canon to the series. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang each have an intro trailer that include their OST. Weiss' trailer explains her scar. Also I hope you end up reacting to RWBY Chibi, it's great.

One thing to mention is that every character is a story book character. Ruby is Red Riding Hood, Weiss is Snow White (her name is White Snow in German), Blake is both the beauty and the beast, Yang is Goldie locks, Jaune is Joan of Arc, Pyrrha is Achiles, Nora is Thor, Ren is Mulan, Torchwick is the clockwork orange, Ozpin is the wizard of Oz, Glinda Goodwitch is the good witch of the north, Penny is Pinnocchio(explains the straing blades connected to her as a puppet) and Sun is Son Wukong.
Since I started this show I don't think I've fallen more in love with a world and its characters harder than I have in the last 15 years. I don't exaggerate when I say that, either, RWBY genuinely brought back a feeling in me I had long thought had disappeared as I got older. And it's also a gun.

fun fact about Sun's Nunchuk shotgun: the concept for it was actually something Monty came up with before he started animating RWBY. It's seen in a short animation he posted on his facebook in 2014. In the same animation you can also see an early concept of Blake's semblance
That dvd movie only bit of Pyrrha yelling "Nora!" As an extra for a between for what would be an episode break is so iconic i wish more reactors just broke up their volume reactuons with a dvd release watchalomg for volume one at least. Its such a funny bit thats rarely seen.

WORD TO THE WISE: watch the World of Remnant mini series. It adds lots of helpful context to the world and how their magic system works since it’s fairly loose. I can’t wait to watch this show grow on you like a fungus and not ever let go

I saw volume 1 first by accident; but I’m actually glad I did cuz it makes the Blake reveal less obvious and it let me get a good first impression of Weiss being a brat, to give a good starting point for her growth.
Jeff Williams composed most of the bangers in RWBY's soundtrack. The dude is a beast.

WONDERFUL I always enjoy seeing people experience rwby it's such an amazing show. Most of the songs are sung by Casey Lee Williams, and she was around 13 I believe when her father wrote these songs and had her sing them. She's not the main songwriter and has her own band called OK Goodnight

Coincidently the VA for professor Port was an Achievement Hunter that had a pretty huge scandal a couple years ago where he was a 40 year old married man with kids and he had been messaging female fans who may or may not been underage. And may or may not have met up with them in hotel rooms. So the comments about Port being a bit creepy to his students is actually on the nose.

Like as awesome as the in series fights are, the trailers have some of the cleanest fight animation Ive ever seen.

Every time I rewatch Volume 1 I remember how much of a struggle Barbara's voice acting was. Barbara Dunkelman is Yang's voice actress.

If y’all are doing RWBY, please one day expand into watching the other Rooster Teeth series, most notably Red vs. Blue, which started it all, and perhaps even Camp Camp. It even adds a little bonus for voice actors crossing over into the other series as well

Highly recommend watching the red, white, black, and yellow trailers as they aren't really trailers and more like character shorts. There are the four original ones for volume 1 and then volume 4 has a red trailer, volume 5 has white, black and yellow trailers and volume 6 has a short for a character you have yet to meet.
They aren't super vital to the show but they do kinda give hints to things in the season and Weiss's answers one of the questions one of y'all asked about her in this video :)

Always crazy to remember volume 1 of RWBY had a total budget of like 3 dollars when it was made.
Also highly recommend you guys check out the Red, White, Black, and Yellow colour trailers (more akin to small mini episodes/shorts dedicated to introducing the main four girls) as they are both awesome and in the case of the Black and Yellow colour trailers arguably plot relevant.
Other RWBY side media to consider watching are the World of Remnant shorts, which are informationals told by in universe narrators IN CHARACTER about vital aspects of the setting that the show never quite fully has enough time to go into, and the various character shorts before their appropriate volumes (a Ruby character short for volume 4, Weiss, Blake and Yang character shorts for volume 5, and the 'Adam' character short for volume 6).
Edit: OH! And the OSTs with lyrics are always amazing. So much plot subtly hinted/told in the lyrics of the music (becomes more and more impressive as you go through the series and realize how long some story beats were planned)

Overtime with the volumes, The animations get's better and so as the character models.
I noticed that you wonder why people are so 'durable' its the aura.
Like for example say a normal person has like 10 hp but the aura changes that to be like 1000 as an example. So thats why people can tank hits better.
