LOVE BEARDY!! I messaged him back in 2007 on myspace lol and he responsed "Thanks for the Support" as a 15 year old loving the word of beatbox. I was filled with joy.
@@cookesam6 bURRDEEmahhn carried the whole goddamn beatbox industry on his back for an entire decade, he's a colossal reason for why we're still in here. That half-bearded man is for the BBCommunity today what Tesla was for engineering back in the day.
i still vividly remember beardyman's youtube live performance in like 2007/2008. it was the first time i had seen beatboxing that was that creative and new sounding. so sick that he's still doing such cool stuff and getting recognition.
The thing I love most about a beardyman set/performance is that its not just him beatboxing. He takes you on an adventure, and has those segways between where he brings in humor.
Imagine if beardyman participated in producer category. If he can do all this in a sort of freestyle, if he put together an actual set he'd fucking destroy everyone.
I would like to see a beardytron category. Infinite devices, no prerecorded samples, all beatbox. Might as well add a keyboard so everyone can make chords in 1 take.
Beardytron is essentially a god, no doubt, but maybe this is his comfort zone. I once produced everything, and slowly started to move over here, at first due to the likes of Dub FX and other beatbox loopers before I even knew this guy. The thing about his performances that really breaks the mold of a modern performer's typical experience is the immediate representation of his mental flow. Production creates a minutes to hours long lag in the process of bringing an idea to life. He would certainly kill it in the producer category, but I'm not sure there is ever a need. I, personally, am far more impressed by the real time performance and presentation whether improvised or practiced. It does not matter to me, and honestly this one gives me more feeling of potentially practice run at home first, in comparison to his other videos. This does not lessen my opinion at all. Gotta find the tricks somehow. Shortening the gap between inspiration and creation is Beardyman's biggest and broadest contribution in my opinion, which is what puts him the heart of electronic music influence worldwide. Standard production likely bores him as much as it bores me.
This man is a living legend. First found him on his infamous kitchen diaries skit back in ‘07 and discovered beatbox. Never looked back. Without Beardyman, there might never have been a D-Low. Think about that ❤
23:55 *Beardyman in his head* "WHAT style????" "I don't think I can do that without getting cancelled" " Wait, written stuff?" "OH Riddim!!!! Thank god that's what he was saying"
Saw him open Glastonbury on the Thursday eve as the sun set to seething sea of thousands of people 😢 I may have forgot plenty but I will never forget that
The Master Oogway of the Mix, the Mortalmixer, Loopmaster Flex, Beatfather...I just love how over the decades Beardyman has gone from underground party trickster to international superstar. He has transcended beatboxing on his own super highway and then invited the whole world to come enjoy the view. He's put people through college to make his options better. He trashed on Gabba for years and invited the whole world to step up on this pedestal of perfection.
Im lucky to have see beardyman three times in London and there aimply isnt anyone else that truly understands all music genres like him, his energy is insane! An absolute generational talent
When you look at athletes still breaking records and you say, that this isn't possible without doping but you realize it is, because we learn new techniques and technologies evolve and you have a person who masters these new techniques - you can whitness a performance that is incredible and unique at its time. I am really happy to see, that Beardyman managed to do this at least twice in my lifetime. From 2010 to 2024, still on top of the game, this is a genuine legend!
He's the best. .you know why. ..he's funny ..fun ..definitely not serious and he never needs to use any fear tactics like for example= head shot!..he's way above the boy's 💪
Incredible. this is clearly astounding. It's peaks reminding me of The Prodigy, Enigma and the Chemical Brothers with shades of DnB, Trip-hop, US and UK dance. The bredth of Beardyman's influences is astounding, one through line, albeit a thick one, is his love of 90's dance. This is less a limitation in scope but a central theme... less nedily discriibed as a 'vibe', Beardyman brings the 90's club 'smoke' to tracks you would be forgiven for thinking were cowritten by Max Cooper. Despite, lovingly, exhibiting these influences Beardyman sound is fresh and inovative. Strong touches of, his fresh take on, dubstep mingle with disco and 90s house. The mind boggles at the technical prowess on display. Mine melts when beginging to acknowedge the musicality of Beardymans performance. I have so many questions: what are the known beats? What's improvised? Who cares! Get this guy on the main stage, everywhere.
I have to say love! I will post this video on my own blog! Lol well. Only thing i was "upset" about was when he mouthed the words "he's cheating" when watching Inkie.. even though that device was allowed as a second.. lol that's ridiculous to know what you're allowed to use, then say that. So yeah. Kinda lame then
@Travar1410 i get that. completely. My comment refers to the many, many beatbox "fans" commenting here, reddit, IG, TT remarking or how Beardyman don't beatbox and they'd never seen him loop or asking dumb stuff like "who even is he, what right does he have to judge anyway" strictly because they failed to educate themselves. When someone lists his decades of experience and credentials, they'd just argue that must have been too long ago bc he "isn't relative anymore." Complain all you want about BM's failure that year, I get it. Inkie should have had it. But you can't deny his craft and talent.
@petttybettty no no. Yeah you're totally right though. I found Beardyman long before I found looping as we know it now. If you're interested in something if his, check out him and Flutebox. At the Google convention. You may have already seen it though hehe. Much love though. Beardyman is the king for sure
Don't forget, kids, without Doug E Fresh you'd have no Beardyman, who was two years old when Doug E Fresh hit the scene. Check out the track "The Original Human Beatbox" from 1984. It'll seem tame in comparison but that's where it all started. Here endeth today's history lesson.

I was there, Gandalf. I was there three thousand years ago. I was there the day Beardyman made the kitchen diaries.
"...I was there when my monkey needed feeding."
Here's one I prepared earlier...
“It’s worth noting that at this point of the recipe, some people like add fish.. sometimes tuna, sometimes canned salmon…… **shmack!!** DON’T DO IT!”
just add your household white noise

dude created the producer category, I mean probably couldn't compete but yes he's the GOAT
IF there was such a category, he would be a judge. Because if he completed it would not be a competition lol
I would like to see a beardytron category. Infinite devices, no prerecorded samples, all beatbox. Might as well add a keyboard so everyone can make chords in 1 take.
