Nalgene makes see-through canteens that are pretty good. The small mouth Nalgene caps are interchange with USGI canteens as well. Agree 100% about the canteens being gross. I had one issued to me in 2018 that was stamped "1967" on the bottom. My drill Sergeant told me that if I held it up to my ear I could probably hear the screams of Vietnamese children..... Moral of the story go buy your own canteen!
I love the bottle but I hate the cup. Maybe it's because I'm a stainless steel type of guy. thanks for sharing. btw, I saw your series on "how to build a fire", it was meant to fail. You needed a fire starter. or you had to build your fire from very small to big like feathers sticks. Everything was too large for matches to bic lighter to ferro rod. thanks

TITANIUM ALL THE THINGS!! I have their chop sticks, tea cups, and a vargo water bottle that i use religiously. good Ti is worth every penny.

The Keith titanium canteen has a large lip on the inside that can hold bacteria and mold. 😢
This is a MAJOR design issue.
