(BQ '76) It's a much kinder, gentler Corps. No Bab-O (soap) bombs covering everything in dry-soap powder. That went out just before my time when guys could afford a stereo system for their rooms. (And yes, I see those mini-fridges...). It used to be a zip privilege to point your speakers out the window and let the entire Quad 'enjoy' your taste in music. No flooding someone's room with 30 gallon trash-can of water. Do y'all even white-rat rooms anymore? The traditions have changed, but there are still traditions. Now that they took up the hall-carpet, y'all should reintroduce Hall Hockey. Make sure you open the windows at the end of the hall first (those might be gone). A fish uses electric-tape to wrap up a shoe-polish container. White-belts stand ready with brooms as the fish sticks his arm out of his hole and drops the 'puck'. If you hit the far wall it's a goal. If you send the puck out the window, the fish has to drop a new puck. The pucks and tape are 'donated' by the fish. Good times! And yes, I remember sitting around for two days so you can have three finals on the same day. The busiest place in Texas is the dorms on the last hour, of the last day, of school in the spring when you have to be gone. We used to lower footlockers and stuff out the windows.
