Winter has inspired me I remember watching the dolphin tail 2 trailer and wanting to see the movie I didn’t even know when I was watching it that I would have so many connections with this dolphin a few weeks later I had a surgery for scoliosis and I watched dolphin tail one and I realized hay this dolphin has scoliosis and I have scoliosis a few years later I’ve counted 10+ connections with her and I knew I Was meant to see that movie I knew that I was meant to know about winter she is my biggest inspiration and when I grow up I want to take care of Marie life like dolphins and turtles!
The first time I saw Winter in the movie, I cried! Now, I see her and I smile! She’s beautiful and amazing! Thank you for all you did for her and for all of the others animals you saved and you will save in the future!
Looking back now that she's gone... Gosh it just reminds me of what an amazing animal she was and how sad it is that the world lost her. We love you winter we'll never forget you

My name is Emily, I'm 11 years old. And I want to be a marine biologist in the future. I'm from Mexico and I see the webcams all the days and I got really inspired. My big dream is see Winter in person. I would like to be part of the aquarium. I know a lot from Dolphins. Like if you love Winter!
I may not have actually lost a part of my body like Winter did, but I can relate in my own way. I was born with spina bifida, in which there was a small hole near the bottom of my back and there was also nerve damage that made me unable to walk without the help of leg braces and a walker. Since I've gotten bigger and older, my balance isn't as good as it used to be, so I get around only in a wheelchair now.
Big hugs to you! ❤ i had to have leg braces when i was almost 2, because i didn't walk until i was almost 2 had to sleep on them also, has a result one leg is longer then the other.
my story how I meet winter is that I have dyslexia and before I heard of winter I was struggling so much and not have faith in myself then on night my mom got me the Dolthin tale movie and after I watched it I was so amazed by how this Dolthin can fight for my life the next time I had to do reading math or writeing my teacher was saying I grown into it and then when I got my report card my mom saw the difference and then when dolphin tale 2 came out I watched it in the movies then I got one of the books I also grown stronger to helping animals and that with my toy dolphins whale turtles and fish I made a hospital for them and cured them I really thank winter for helping me grow stronger faith and heart I really hope I can meet her in person some day
The folks at CMA are thinking about #3, but so far they don't have a true story to tell. Nicholas has pretty much the same story as Hope, being a young orphan with a sunburn. PJ might have a Tale to tell, though!

Hi I loved the movie from winter and when I heard that she passed away I started crying because I love winter she was an inspiration to me I loved her and I know that everybody has loved this dolphin because it is remarkable how she cut through those injuries and it is just amazing and I hope for the best for Clearwater and I have visit there the hospital and it is amazing so all right I am hoping that I will come back and I could see hope I wish I could see winter too

My friend had really big place in her heart for winter she loved her so much and she asked her parents if she could visit her but they said no and when winter died she was so sad I never thought she could be that way so she would just look at winters story to feel better and she always try’s to look a little deeper for her Spirit thank you winter you are the thing my friend needs

The way i found winter was when i was younger i watched the first movie in theaters with my family and i loved it. As soon as I saw the second one on netflix i had to watch it as well i've watched them multiple times over and over andi can never get enough. I would love to come see winter but my family doesn't have the money to fly to florida and pay for a hotel and all that. Maybe someday i will be able to come visit and even though i never lost any part of me or had any disability i know what it's like to go through things that are tough. I lost my mother when I was 5 and my family situation is somewhat strange. Nonetheless i live my life with a positive attitude hoping happily for what the next day could bring my way- Mattie

Winter and Clearwater Marine Aquarium has been my life since i was 4 years old, ever since i knew i wanted to work at CMA. I live in Wisconsin i met Winter at CMA twice on vacation once when I was 5 and again when I was 7 i also met Cozi when i was 5, i am now 14 and still want to work at CMA, I'm taking Marine science classes in high school and will be going to College for marine biology and hopefully moving to Florida. I dont care if nobody reads this comment i just want you to know that i love you guys and all the animals and cma and its my life goal to work there i dont need anyhting else. ❤
This is all wonderful, and I love Winter, but there is this thing people say about animals or people who have suffered life-threatening trauma, that they survive because of some quality of their personality. Like, she’s a fighter, she never gives up, she’s a survivor. Excuse me, are you saying other animals and people who do not survive were not strong? or resilient? or fighters? We need to admit that much of the opportunities we have in life are just spins of the wheel of fortune. Afterwards, we praise ourselves-or others, like this rescued dolphin-for being survivors, having courage, determination, etc. We convince ourselves that it wasn’t luck, it was _us_ that made the difference. This is myopic and naive. Winter was lucky. This rescue could easily have failed or, as often happens, the animal is never discovered and no rescue comes at all. I think you should make videos of the rescue attempts the CMA have been involved in that _were not_ successful. What made the difference? Was it the animal? Did they die because they aren’t like Winter, ”who knows how to get things done, never gives up”? Did those animals just not want to survive? I find that unlikely. Contingency and probability rule our lives more profoundly than we would like to think.

Was in the Chandeleur islands off the month of the Mississippi on a graduate level expedition in 1976 when a female dolphin, with a newborn calf swam up to the boat. It was like she was showing off her offspring, she looked me directly in the eye and I could see the mind there. It was, as a friend deemed it, very intimate.
