    Sir when you are unable generate an infinite duration sinc function then how would you multiply it with the finite duration signal

      Infinity for computer is the largest number which it process. I mean you can of course not able to generate an infinite sinc in lab but you can realize the same by the range of values which one can consider to process. Due to this limitation only, we can not able to generate an ideal low-pass filter in lab. I hope this will satisfy your query.
