Sailing from Kemah to Port Aransas Ep.10

- We sailed a boat from Kemah, Tx 183 nautical miles down to Port Aransas, Tx. The trip took us 27 hours of straight sailing thought-out the night. It was eventful as we threw the dock lines off, prepped the boat for the passage, dodged shrimp boats and oil platforms at 3am, and finally arrived at our destination. It was a wonderful experience, and now we get to do a little work to Brie (a lagoon 450 owned By Chris Block and Yacthcations).

Nancy and I took our ASA114 class on that very catamaran back in 2016. Great boat and Chris runs a great operation. We are on our 2nd Cat since then and went from dirt dwellers to live aboards in only 4 years. I wish we would have done this 10 years ago!

Dan, Chris and the whole Yachtcations team are wonderful. They have some beautiful Yachts, great personality’s, and are super knowledgeable. We sailing Brie down to Port Aransas, TX last week, did a bottom Job, sail drives, and a few other jobs. We arrived home safely last night after 28 hrs of 10-12 foot waves and 23knot winds. It was a little uncomfortable but it was a wonderful experience.

Wow! That is awesome. Do you all plan on spending the summer up there? We intend on cruising the west coast then up to Alaska, but it will be a few years.
We just watched couple of your videos and loved them. We hope everything goes well in the yard! It is exciting to see you all doing a lot of your own work too.
