Absolutely nailed it with this video,
I think MiM/MMA is the way to go if one wants to go abroad, work n settle
Anyways I have talked with several MBA graduates and half of them say it is much better to do an MBA when you have gained work experience and not as a fresher
By doing MiM/MMA you have the golden opportunity to go abroad, work and settle there and get a permanent residency/citizenship
By that time one gains enough work experience and when the graduate reaches the age of 27-28 he/she could go for an MBA if they wish and the knowledge would make much more sense, also there are so many perks then like lower tuition fee for PR/citizens(sometimes two to three times lower) and anyways the average age a person does an MBA is this age itself (27-28)

Many MiM courses(especially the ones not in Europe) don't allow commerce undergraduates for MiM(they specifically want people from only non business undergraduate studies,so bcom/bba,etc graduates aren't allowed)
    Any specific reason for this?

    • @pratikj415

      Hi Divit,
Not sure about this. Maybe Commerce students have an edge over others when it comes to MiM courses, hence to level the playing field, they may want candidates with no commerce background.
Hope I was able to answer your question.

      Hi Aayush,
      Follow the following procedure:
      1) Check for schools that offer Masters in Finance without Work Experience. (From my personal experience you will have many schools in Europe rather than US)
      2) Check for details like admission process, when is their admission cycle, fees, placements, etc.
      3) Check what examinations are required GRE, GMAT, IELTS or TOEFL
      4) Find any seniors of yours from college, who have migrated to the US, ask them about this option and what they feel about it. Ask them if they can help you connect with anyone who has followed this career path. (From personal experience, its easier to find connections in the industry this way)
Hope I was able to help you out.

      Hi Ashish,
I am not clear on what exactly is 79,81,68. Kindly give more details on those numbers.
However, going for the GMAT is always a good idea. For Indian Business Colleges, CAT is preferred, but for abroad colleges GMAT is given a lot of weight-age.
Admission for Business schools abroad happen in rounds:
      Round 1: August-September
      Round 2: December-January
College to college these rounds of admission change. So kindly do your own research.

      To answer your questions:
-If you want to get introduced to the field of management, this is a great start. Based on your liking of the subjects, you can choose whether to go for an MBA or not.
The basic thing you need to pull through the course is a general understanding of management and an interest in managerial subjects.
-Yes! The subjects will be easier for students who have a background in economics, accounting, commerce, and mathematics., but don't sell yourself short, you are admitted for a reason, so don't worry too much about it. In case you feel disconnected from the subjects, you always have the option to pursue something you like.

MIM from any college is worth it provided, you go through the course work, and have a chat with the alumni.
I would strongly suggest if you have the time, efforts and money to support your MBA, then go for an MBA rather than an MIM.
Employability, means students are industry ready and they know what is currently being used in the industry. Employability doesn't mean good placement percentage. I would recommend getting in touch with the alumni of the course to get clarification on this.

      Hi,
      To answer your questions:
-If you want to get introduced to the field of management, this is a great start. Based on your liking of the subjects, you can choose whether to go for an MBA or not.
The basic thing you need to pull through the course is a general understanding of management and an interest in managerial subjects.
-Yes! The subjects will be easier for students who have a background in economics, accounting, commerce, and mathematics., but don't sell yourself short, you are admitted for a reason, so don't worry too much about it. In case you feel disconnected from the subjects, you always have the option to pursue something you like.

      Hi Harnoor,
My first advice to you would be to reconsider doing the course in Canada as India and Canada are currently not on the same page.
Secondly, It's not only your graduation score but your overall profile as a person that counts.
Here are some pointers that always help:
      1) Strong School and college marks and percentages
      2) Interesting Co-curricular activities that are out of the box
      3) Confident and Strong Personality and views in essays and profile
      4) Good GMAT Score
      5) Accomplishments and how you rate Success
Not sure what out of this you can do in a year.

Hey thanks for summing it up
Iv done my BBA from mumbai and have a decent 3.3 GPA in 2021. Have interned at a big 4 and now currently working in business development for a global b2b org (closing in on 1 year). Ive gotten 322 in GRE but now im doubtful if MiM is even worth it as i already have a business degree.
It heavily depends on the brand value, if ur in a top uni then its all good, you'll most likely get a consulting job. As you said, you'll be at the same salary and job level as fresh grads from that country's top undergrads.
Now I'm considering getting a tech degree instead so i have some technical ability cause i dont believe you can be a good "strategy" consultant if you don't know anythin bout ground level execution. Ive seen how clueless consultants often are and strategy isnt about making powerpoints everyday, which is what you'll be doing in entry level consulting (data analysis also). High level software engineers and even high level sales people make way more money than consultants.
