Final tip helped the most haha, I always feel ridiculous doing large swings. Also just learned you could block yourself, was wondering why I failed combos so often 😂
Just a heads up to left handed players...your combos will need to be done in reverse....Example...provoke is listed as left right up....for us its actually right left up. All combos are done this way for left handed swordsmen.
This is very important! Also note that when you switch to warrior, be careful if you switch hands. If you go from left handed warrior to right handed warrior, you still have to do things as if you were a lefty!

Excited to get to play this in a few weeks when my headset arrives. Since I normally play melee DPS in MMOs though, kinda disappointing to see there is none in this game, guess I have to go small shield warrior instead.
Long story short, melee DPS wouldn't work for this game. The closest thing you've got is Shaman at melee range. Small shield Warrior isn't so bad when playing solo, but when in group settings just be aware that you're a tank, not a DPS, and you're meant to be soaking and not dealing damage.
Is a warrior the preferred tank over pally? Ngl I kinda just want to run dungeons anyways but curious. I like how you just spam attacked to quick finish mobs instead of slowly wounding
@@PKIllusion1 warrior seems much better but I won't even lie, not sure I'll ever get the combos down enough to feel competent to tank for a team ): same how I feel about bard. I'd love to play him better but I'm just enjoying the faceroll of musketeer 🤷♂️🤦♂️

I just started warrior and randomly the sound and sword flash that happens at 6:10 in your video happens at times - what does that mean?? It doesn't seem to be part of that skill you are using because it'll happen sometimes when I'm just standing around!

I don’t know if there has been a change but you cant do small swings any more as it decreases damage they don’t have to be huge but you still need to do a full swing something I find helpful is if I draw out the combo with my sword using the purple line then I always maximise and guarantee my combo even though it’s not meant to dps I’m going to try make it dps as I’ve always liked playing the the weird guy (damage priest in wow, self heal DK , fast as heck warlock in destiny etc.)
Nothing's changed regarding Warrior combos. As a Warrior in a group, you don't need to do damage. Your entire goal is to keep aggro. For that purpose, doing more Provokes is better than doing more damage per Provoke. If you're going solo, feel free to do whatever you want, but for group content in dungeons and what not, you're gonna want to do a ton of small Provokes :)
Coming from FFXIV, I don't think I would enjoy tanking in this. I like the idea of tanking while maximizing DPS but if tanks in this game just don't do enough damage to justify it then might as well just go DPS full-time.
Nepper there’s nothing wrong with full time dps. Most players I know specialize in one class or another. Very few are proficient with more than two or three at end game.
The idea of a class that can chose dps or tank is really exciting but now that you said it cant dps it's so disappointing. I think I wanna quit orbus, there's no fun classed
Jacob Campbell I agree with you the classes are all really quite boring and all force you to play a certain way the fact there is no melee dps is a joke the majority of mmorpg players play melee dps so the fact that orbus just flat out ignores half of the mmorpg community really brings the game down the game would be so much fun if they added maybe a ninja class or a option for the warrior to do dps
Highest DPS I've ever seen from a Warrior was Sparky with 18k, and that was a small shield, all talents for DPS, and tilesets proccing constantly. That's... better than a lot of players, but will never be good enough for shards or raids. You can help with damage and deal some, but you won't ever compete with the 4 DPS classes.

The Observer it depends on your play style and group. I find I’m way tankier as a Paladin, but keep aggro and deal with mechanics better as a warrior.

The Observer for warrior you just need Provoke and wound. Hamstring only comes into play for late late game.
Bard becomes muscle memory:)

You don’t need to use the shield, but you can’t dual wield swords. Also don’t expect to be dealing much damage, as Warrior is a Tank class.

I believe that’s the charging of a combo. If you’ve done a combo and you hold your sword out parallel to the ground, it’ll charge that combo again.

Depends on your gear and how good you are at warrior combos. I'm not a DPS warrior lol

I’m currently running the warrior class and this video has really helped me know what to actually do.
Is it posible to heal your shield with provoke with the level 30 ability? does the heal from provoke goes onto the shield when u are full hp?
It is possible, yes. Once you’re full hp with over heal, the heal goes to the shield.
Just figured out last night that if you're left handed and hold the sword in your left hand the combos for left and right swings are reversed.

If you hold your sword out to the side it’ll charge the last combo you did. I accidentally did that

The game just wasn’t designed for melee dps, but with how often it’s requested I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.

I've found 8 wonderfully fun classes. I recommend getting each to 30 to see how great each one is.
