With all due respect, if you think Ramada, Fairfield, Holiday Inn, Golden Sarovar, Ranjit Villas and Courtyard Marriott are 5 star properties, then my friend, you have to go back to hotel classification school. They are all 3 star properties by any international standard. Of the 10 hotels listed, only Taj, Radisson, Hyatt Regency and Welcome Hotel make the 5 star list. In India, any Tom, Dick and Harry hotel is being graded as 5 star to attract customers.

In fact it is due to that core issue that our video is getting views, It is due to the fact that the standard is not a standard. So our main idea is to provide people a general idea of what they would be getting, by being able to see the hotels it is easier to judge.
In terms of service yes, A Taj shall always be a Taj. I haven't found any Taj properties below the price of Rs. 10,000 in India. And yet we have soo many other even 5 star resorts at half that price. Does that mean that the 5 Star resorts at just Rs. 5,000 are not actually 5 Star because of their price. Well it's not fair to say that as well, coz in terms of certification and classification, they are a 5 star resort. But does their service and ambience match the Taj. Well not even close.
Here's where branding comes into play and the long run game is being played. Taj have a number of sub brands, for their non super premium segment. And so does most of the major International Brands, Sarovar Portico, Regenta, Marriott, Hyatt, Holiday Inn. Most of these hotels chains, have their sub brands for classification of a general idea of what type of service that you would get if you stay in any of their property. Let's use Taj as an example, since it's the easiest to differentiate. Taj, Vivanta, Ginger are 3 different hotels by the same company for 3 different segments. And even though they do come in different star levels, you know that staying in any of their property would give you better service compared to their competitiors, Why? Coz of Branding. It takes years to build the good will and brand that the IHCL have.
Now whatever star Ramada might be having, if you have stayed in a number of Ramada properties, you would know what to expect from a Ramada. For a Hyatt, for example. 99% of the times, you would be having amazing chefs in Hyatt. They normally go all out with their chefs. It's a thing i noticed after staying and eating in a number of Hyatt in a number of countries and cities. So a certain type of branding has been established by Hyatt in regards of their food and bakery quality.

But it works for the Indian Market. Ask the general population, they would know what to expect from a Regenta / Sarovar Portico. They would also know what to expect from an OYO / Treebo. There are certain brandings in place, no matter the star. I think the star ratings of hotels are not that much of a value anymore in today's world compared to before. Today the hotel industry is dominated by franchises and hotel chains. It's easier, faster and easier to manage and market as well. Hi Sukiji, both the hotels are really amazing. Fairfield and Wyndham. They both provide different experience. In choosing the best hotel for your stay, it actually depends on what you are looking for. If you have never stayed in Fairfield before, we do recommend you stay in Fairfield. If you have stayed in Fairfield before then try the Wyndham. We always recommend to try a new hotel chain and experience the difference in service. If you have stayed in any of the property managed by them before, then making a choice becomes easier.
But as a general rule we always recommend, try out a new hotel chain. It's always nice and you will end up with a new story to tell later - We always find something new in every hotel we stayed in. Especially in 4-5 Star hotels, there is always something nice and exciting that the hotel has to offer.

We stayed in 3 different hotels in Pune during that trip and Royal Orchids really stood out. It was a small thing, but the hospitality of the staff and the food was really good.
