all videos filmed until December 2019 were filmed with a Canon EOS m with a 22mm lens (REALLY recommend if you're starting out, although it doesn't have a manual focus mode, it's cheap and the quality is great)
Now I'm using a Canon EOS M6 mark II with a 22mm lens
I use DaVinci Resolve for editing!
Things you don't know about this video: I'm still scared by the Fabio video; imagine being a bird minding your own business and then you get slapped on BY FABIO'S JAWLINE! Also; this was my first time getting covid and I lost my sense of smell and taste for two weeks! I'm still dealing with fatigue, but I'm so grateful the worst part is over.
Last night I watched Tove Jansson's documentary for the 32083389th time

I hope you get a chance some day to visit the Moomin museum here in Tampere, Finland. It's so inspiring. There are a lot of Tove Jansson's (pronounced TOO-veh YANS-son) art and also miniature dioramas. I was surprised to see her illustrations were so tiny irl! I recommend the Tove movie as well if you haven't seen it yet and are able to watch it.

That museum is amazing! The last time I visited it they also had a exhibition of Ilon Wikland's illustrations- I've grown up with her work as well and the world she has created illustrating for Astrid Lindgren is like a warm hug.

I feel your admiration for Tove Janssen so much! Gifted my girlfriend, for her birthday, a Moomin *official* tea towel and the rhythm of the weaving looks so good we'll get it framed aha
tove jansson is my favourite artist too, and her life is so inspiring as well! she had her own house on a private, isolated island, where she lived together with her girlfriend monhts of every year. her girlfriend was a filmmaker and they both inspired each other a lot. the book fair play by her was inspired by their relationship!

I think in Sweden we take Tove Jansson a little bit for granted. I grew up with the Moomin comics existing in ALL of the libraries. You discovering them a bit more now really makes me happy and more appreciative of the wonderful opportunity to read them so young and having them be so easily accessible. Have you seen the "Tove" film?
This graphic novel is a must have. Can't wait.

I'm a little jealous of your Moomin merchandising and books. What a cute cup! It reminds me that I need to find some book of The Moomin too, I read one novel from The Moomin when I was a child and it still "printed" in me.

All this time I was thinking that the title "Erinyes" was some wordplay of Erin+yes that would make sense once someone gets to know the story... and only now, seeing a snippet of a slide behind Ed in Spanish that said "Erinias", I realised that's the English word for those greek mythology deities (aka Furies). Internet doesn't need to know this, but I'm impressed with the speed of my deduction ;P
Edit after watching till the end: You don't need mine or enyone else's opinion or validation of your social media break, I just feel the urge to say what I often think when hearing people in places like TH-cam say about needing to provide the content to the viewers who await it, or apologizing for not being active enough... like, for most of the content creators, it's a hobby, a pastime, a choice, a whim; they don't owe "us" any content, let alone the updates on their personal life. For me it feels weird to demand this access to the privacy of people once they appear online - I'd even say that once they advance to the"liked" or "admired" category, I feel obliged to respect them even more, as now I care more. It's not related strictly to what you said, or to your channel specifically, just a reflection thrown into the world wide web ;) Have a great August :)

Also, did you know Tove Jansson was queer? I wasn't really a fan of the TV series as a child, I think I found it a bit creepy, but that comic looks really interesting. I know a queer bookshop near me stocks some of their books so I think I'll check them out. X

Have you read any of The Hernandez Bros? I am a huge fan of Jaime Hernandez and your style kind of reminds of his work. Love and Rockets (before the band!) is such a good comic and it's been around since the early 80's. I would love to hear what you think of their work. :)
