I was an adopted child, if you could call it that. I mean it wasn’t like they left me on a doorstep. I lost my parents to a drunk driver. So I had no choice but to be adopted. My parents raised me. They gave me a home, a chance to live a life with purpose. I was a child who was so lost. I would have never been able to be able to survive the wood without their love. They were kind people.
They took me in. They gave me a place to be safe. I didn't know where I belonged. I didn't know what my purpose was. All I knew was that I was an orphan. I didn't know what to do with my life. I didn't want to be a burden to anyone, but I knew I needed help to survive. I felt lost in the wilderness, longing for a safe home. But it was in these woods I found my purpose. I wasn't just a lost child. I was a child with a purpose. I was a child who wanted to make a difference in the lives of others.
