Oh my god calm down yes the she hulk is not that good but they said that daredevil's character was changed to fit the tone of the show and daredevil is not always dark and edgy like batman, you people don't hear and just want people to agree with your opinions and gain views plus his not the main character.
@Eric Carter you're so right about everything regarding Disney's monopoly on Marvel. They have destroyed our favorite characters and it seems like things will only keep getting worse. I have zero expectations for Daredevil Born Again, and Disney will never take a risk doing R-rated Marvel movies, even though a large majority of Marvel Comics are R-rated.
This is why the first half of season 2 of Daredevil is my favourite, Frank and Matt are completely different people. Matt doesn't want to kill people because he thinks everyone deserves a chance at redemption. And Frank on the other hand, doesn't want these criminals to get another chance so he kills them, they both completely stay in their characters and when they clash, both their ideologies seem justified.

Not any part of him was goofy in this episode. The guy is a badass in this and is sarcastic and witty. The only goofy thing he has is his suit, but then again it’s also charming since this suit is a reference to the comics.
The people who are complaining about Matt Murdock's portrayal in She-Hulk really do NOT understand his character. Daredevil has been lighthearted throughout the comics; he doesn't just have one personality and one personality only.

The seriousness part of his Character is what gave him an identity. Now he’s a generic wise cracking MCU character that couldn’t really be differentiated by other MCU characters in terms of personality.
In my opinion, I enjoyed Daredevil in She-Hulk. In fact, I’m more interested in the character. But I agree I do hope the MCU will find their new footing soon.
The next two phases will be important since they be the ones that will matter in the fate of the MCU and whether it can still succeed or collapse under the pressure of Kang and the multiverse saga storyline

Worst movie, Captain Marvel. The character has no story arc progress. Her powers were always that amazing to begin with, and somehow she knows how to utilize them to the fullest extent.
Personally I feel like Matt's personality felt natural, he was acting in response to Jen's energy, it felt as though he knew he could open up a bit around her. Don't get what all the fuss is about.
She Hulk is honestly the worst MCU show by far, in the comics Jennifer was a Shy and Timid woman who never considered herself beautiful, and was always closed off, when she turned into the She Hulk, She did have some problem at first but eventually learns how to control her form, and not only that but She actually prefers being She Hulk than Jennifer, giving an interesting dynamic to the Hulk who is scared of his Hulk form, She also has a close relationship with Bruce, considering Bruce had to take shelter in her home to get away from His Abusive father, in The show she is a narcissistic, Self Righteous Idiot who constantly invalidates and lectures Bruce, and even has the nerve to say that she controls her anger infinitely more than him, To a Guy who had to run from the Government, and tried to off himself simply because he wanted to end his suffering
Yeah. She seems to think that she's tortured and has a hard life and even the show WANTS you to think that too. But when compared to the other heroes in the MCU including Black Widow and HER childhood trauma's after being submitted into the Black Widow program, and Tony Stark who was given a brutal reality check aswell as Bruce Banner's traumatic past. Jennifer's troubles seem minuscule in comparison and from a story and character perspective, they are exponentially less interesting than the other superheroes in the MCU. It feels like they are trying really hard to TELL you that you should care, but they haven't SHOWN you why you should care.
@@EricCarter12 She should have been more understanding and there actually should have been an effort to show how Jennifer has problems just like the Hulk at first, but then gradually she learns how to control it, In the show the training process ends in one episode there is no showcase or progress or training montage, it feels incredibly unsatisfactory when we immediately see Bruce just say oh it will be fine, You can go, also Jennifer is always praised and is never criticized by people, She is what we call a mary sue
Marvel should hire actual writers who are fans and passionate about the comics/characters, instead of hiring activists who want to push their agendas instead of telling a good story. Theres barely a plot in She Hulk. And Eric is 100% right about Marvel keeping us from seeing Daredevil until episode 8, because they KNEW that people wouldn't watch the show otherwise, and that just shows how little faith they had in this show. Even they knew it would fail.

I do also think that Daredevil should have appeared against Walters in court like you said, but the way I would introduce him would be all the way back to episode 1, It would show Walters winning a court case without a distraction from a horrible villain, but this time she doesn't have her powers when she gets attacked in the alleyway, then out of the shadows a person in a devil costume saves her from the muggers (and not in 20 different shots for 1 scene like they made him do) and then the episode ends with Walters asking, "Who are you?" and he responds, "I'm Daredevil" as his theme gets played as the episode ends. On the 2nd episode Walters gets her powers the way she got them in the comics, gets hired in the superhuman law division and goes up against Matt Murdock in the Abomination case. Charlie Cox has stated that Daredevil won't steer away from his source material from him being serious and broody in an interview he did at D-23. I do have faith in Daredevil born again. I don't like phase 4, but I did like Daredevil in the show. I do think he was a little to light hearted in the show though. I think they were just trying to have fun with him here before he gets his new show. This was also literally only one episode aswell. I definitely don't think he was ruined here, We should have faith until Echo. Echo will be the drawing line to find out. I have Faith in Charlie Cox that he will help guide the MCU with his character. I definitely don't think he'll let it slide.
The only reason he was light hearted was cause he was in a show with a light hearted tone plus I’m pretty sure in the comic daredevil not only smiles in his suit some times but he also makes a couple jokes as well this any hate but I’m just trying to make it clear that daredevil isn’t always dark and broody like Batman
I don’t even like She-Hulk or most of phase 4 but I think a lot of your criticisms are very overblown, Daredevil told like one bad joke but that was about it. He ended season 3 on a happier note so it makes sense for him not to be Dark or serious 100% of the time, he still held a lot of the same character traits from the Netflix series. Also it depends on the project, just like the comics! sometimes he’s in more serious runs & other times in more playful ones.

A reminder to the MCU fanboys; The MCU in the beginning EARNED our trust and loyalty. Which is why is was so good before. Now they have ruined that trust, over and over again with Phase 4 and even a little bit of Phase 3. You don't want us to logically complain fanboys? Complains that they make him CGI for a fight and that he doesn’t appear to be presented in a special way. they then immediately have a scene where he fights practically in a well lit suspenseful well scored scene, proceeds to complain that it’s not the same as the hallway rights from daredevil, no it’s not like the netflix hallway fights but it’s one of the best fights in all the disney plus shows and lines up with a lot of the more average fights in daredevil.

Lets not over react. This is a comedic show, so that’s why daredevil comes off more comedic. I don’t think it’s appropriate to react this way until we see him in his new show.
The issue for me is not that Matt is comedic here. He's got plenty of lighthearted moments in Daredevil series, but they felt more well written and less "typical mcu humor and one liners" crap.
it was listed as a comedy sitcom but failed at both and the way they do jokes in this show is over the top in your face and hoping people got the joke type instead of actually being funny which is a Marvel studio's problem
It honestly reminded me of DC's first Suicide Squad. The movie felt like a chopped up mess, scenes that were shot are missing, the scenes that made it in are cut off prematurely and the copious amounts of unfunny comedy was unbearable. Especially when they made that joke about the Thanos Dessert shop or whatever that was.

I feel like you’re misreading what daredevil was supposed to be in She-Hulk. He wasn’t supposed to have the main focus, we weren’t supposed to get the full character like we got in his show. We only get the side of him that Jen sees, because the show is from her perspective. He only felt “hollow” because Jen didn’t need to interact with the rest of his character (like the catholic part, the business owner part, the detective part, the part obsessed with Fisk and haunted by crime). She only saw Matt’s lawyer side and his loving side, and it’s her show, so that’s all we saw too. It’s not that the rest of his character isn’t there, it’s just not a part of She-Hulk’s story. I’m sure we’ll get other parts of Daredevil in Echo, and hopefully we’ll see him in his entirety when he’s the main character again of his own show.
What sucks harder is that the Netflix shows are MCU canon, so to see Daredevil turn into Ezra Miller’s Flash from 2017 is insulting. The scene in No Way Home got Daredevil’s personality right.

Comic reader here. most likely disney will take from Mark Waid's Daredevil run instead of sticking with the Frank Miller Daredevil which is what we saw from the netflix series.
Makes sense, specially since how the Netflix series did end in happy note, with Matt now reunited with Karen and Foggy ready restart this life as lawyer. After all he went through he would try to be more positive and optimistic instead of being stuck in the same depress spot he was in the series.
I thought daredevil was near perfect in she-hulk. In his arc through the end of daredevil season 2, defenders, and season 3 we see Matt at his lowest point, and when he overcomes his demons at the end of the season, he seems to be in a much happier place mentally. Now we also have to consider that she-hulk canonically takes place around 6 or 7 years after daredevil season 3 (only around 2 years for Matt if we assume that he got blipped), so I genuinely think this light hearted take for the character works. I feel like people also have to take into consideration that he's not in New York and there's no huge looming threat that's going to affect everyone Matt cares about. He's across the country getting a new super suit and hanging out with another superhero lawyer, he might as well be on vacation lol. I think this more light hearted side of daredevil is something we should expect to see when Matt is hanging out with other superheroes, it just makes since. Matt loves the thrill that being daredevil brings him and it probably brings him a lot of joy to be able to share that with other heroes. We see a little bit of this side of him in defenders (although not a lot since he was still going through his mega depressed arc). I just hope that this version of the character is something we'll eventually get to see interact with spiderman, because that is something I have ALWAYS wanted to see in live action.

Gee I remember in S2 when he got shot in the head by Punisher he said “aw crud I’m gonna kick ur booty hole!1!” I remember in S3 where he was traumatized and beaten down and broken, questioning his morality and religious means, crippled and hospitalized and trying to die, trying to beg for death even if he came so close to it several times, trust issues, losing everyone to death or fear of losing them to said death, in a brawl with Bullseye tryna kill Vanessa and Fisk tryna kill Daredevil and Bullseye, and he started cracking jokes from Cartoon Network shows when his humor was dry, dark, sarcastic, depresssing.

People who claim that Daredevil has always been lighthearted: See Bendis' Daredevil, Brubaker's Daredevil, Soule's Daredevil, Zdarsky's Daredevil. Most of his modern era has not been lighthearted. His best story (Born Again is not lighthearted in the least, nor is The Man Without Fear or End of Days). I get that different writers have different interpretations, but applying that to TV makes for bad writing. Saying he's always been lighthearted is flatly untrue. Stop misrepresenting history because you don't like that people aren't enjoying this interpretation (which can't decide if it's the same interpretation as Netflix).

No Ms. Marvel didn't get a 10 and Moon Knight didn't get a 6. Those are the rankings of the "top 10" streaming at the time of each show release. MK was 6 out of top 10 MM was bottom of the list

I just hope that Marvel doesn't make it a comedy. Now see here is the thing, comedy is not bad in case of any project but in case of MCU, it really bangs me down. I hope this movie stays like Avengers: Endgame and only uses jokes when needed and not consistently shove it up to us like Love and Thunder and stays dedicated to Chadwick Boseman. I have faith a little bit but another reason I am worried is because MCU 2022 has been a disaster. Like every project for me is 5/10 or below but hopefully this movie and Phase 5 and 6 redeem from 2022's sins. Also if you liked any of them I am completely fine 😊☺️. The only true good projects of Phase 4 to me are Loki(2021), Shang-Chi(2021), No Way Home and Werewolf by Night(2022).

Nah, Daredevil being able to go dark and light is perfect. He can kick it with Ghost Rider, then hangout with Spider-Man. He can go get into a street brawl with Kingpin and the Punisher, then also flirt with She Hulk and even fight along Kamala Khan because Murdock is a chill dude with a catholic background who believes in morality. This video has Daredevil twisted. The reviews of this show online are great too. MCU is gonna be alright and people are even more hyped to watch the new shows now.
The whole metaphor with “Daredevil should be like Batman” is also a horrible decisions. The characters are both VERY different and should not be treated the same. “The MCU doesn’t have a backbone” This argument is invalid. The Netflix Marvel shows are MCU canon and were always made with the current MCU’s approval and inclusion. A current release, “Werewolf by night” is a straight counter point to the complaints of CGI and not enough practical effects. The plot line boasted here of “what should have happened” is actually lazy writing and would include a multi-episode arc to have any effect. The writers who decided to show them working together right away knowing each other’s identity is perfect, especially after being against each other in court and talking at the bar. The audience would have been waiting for the pin to drop and it made sense in the penultimate episode for it to stay as a compact storyline that didn’t derive too far from a superhero lawyer show. It’s ironic that the main complaints here are that “MCU is too formulaic” but the argument is to keep to the formula of the Netflix established tone, which was also established by the MCU. 🤔

The court scene in She-Hulk is a brief moment of what I wanted to see more of in the actual Daredevil show since it happened like only a couple of times in the show itself. Also I do prefer the yellow and red suit since the colours look more appealing and some of the jokes with action were nice to see compared to the constant grounded feel of the Netflix show Now I’m not saying it’s perfect but I did get some genuine enjoyment from this episode and if they took those aspects and combined them with talented writers with a mature feeling story, Daredevil Born Again could be a really great show that is the best of both worlds (the Netflix and Disney+ shows) Looking forward to his appearance in Echo

So I just found out that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson won’t be returning as Karen and Foggy (likely also meaning that Wilson Bethel won’t be coming back as Bullseye either). My level of excitement for this new Daredevil show has now gone from a 3/10 to a 1.
I heard about that too. I don't know HOW you can tell a story of Matt Murdock without them. Especially with how strong their relationship became at the end of Daredevil Season 3. My guess is that Marvel don't know what to do with side characters if they aren't the comic relief or put in a superhero costume. It's a shame. The show is also going to include Jon Bernthal's Punisher. But in a PG-13 setting (and we all know how base level Disney MCU'S PG-13 ratings are) his character is not going to be done justice.

I'm saying this as someone who think in the 29 films in the MCU, believes there's only like seven or eight that are 7/10 or better... Please read comics. I'm a Daredevil fan. I loved the Netflix show. But the fact he was in his yellow and red costume, something we knew he'd be in because of leaks before She-Hulk even aired, should have told you he was going to be the more light-hearted salwashbuckler version.
No, it didn't. Even in the comics Daredevil had a more comedic side to him. He can't be always brooding. He is also a ladiesman (even acknowledged in his series)
I think what he’s trying to say daredevil yes in the comics is more lighthearted and yes in the daredevil show like he said he did make jokes and he wasn’t always brooding but the serious tone the stakes and the plot really atone to daredevils character but in she hulk he’s light hearted but he’s still was affected by the mcu formula I feel if they combine the dark nature and mature daredevil background in the show people would have been more drawn towards him. And points he made were right almost know one was looking forward to the show so leeching on the success of daredevil was really the main reason people went to see it , 2 I personally didn’t mind daredevil making one joke maybe two but he usually does it as Matt Murdock when he has the suit he’s straight business no joking around completely changing the daredevil we grew to know , 3 they used practical effects and a stunt double and stunts to make daredevil actions scenes great but here the cgi him which even I can tell is fake,4 the I understand the suit is from the earlier comics but it looks kinda of stupid it looks lick ketchup and mustard McDonald’s commercial, but that’s just me overall I don’t mind daredevil being lighthearted but when you change the environment of the realistic grounded dark show he came from it ruins what makes him special especially when change his whole character to fit she hulk it doesn’t look or feel like the character we grew to love
Daredevil was ok in she hulk, well he wasn't as butchered as hulk or thor he was still in character kinda, because charlie cox's performance (you can see he was happy to play the character again) he was too light but he got a few more milion points for destroying she hulk in court but yeah I agree, he was cgi and looked too much like spiderman when he was fighting shre hulk and he was quick and agile but still human his fighting style reflected that, he is not invincible if you hit him hard with a sledgehammer you will break his bones

@@EricCarter12 you were trying to make it sound like She-Hulk was a Failure when reality it's not, Nielsen top 10 Streaming numbers do not indicate if a show was a hit or not, if Netflix dropped a TV show with over 12 episodes and each one is hour long, it will bound to shoot all the way to the top 3, compare that to 1 episode of She-Hulk which is 30 minutes long, Of course it won't reach the top 10, that number is too small, If you look at SambaTV however, which they calculate individual shows without the need for a top 10, She-Hulk Ep1 was watched by 1.5 Million people, That is on par with Wandavision, Hawkeye & Moon Knight, It's also Better than Ms. Marvel which that show did make it to the Top 10, You can twist reality to fit your narrative all you like, but next time, enough with the lies.

5:00 Except the Turtles Forever crossover is heavily disliked among a huge number of the 80s TMNT fandom. The crossover had the 80s turtles were so overly goofy it was to the point of parody a lot of people who grew up with the 80s show didn't like the portrayal of their characters, which is why they prefer how the 2012 series handled the 80s incarnations in that show's crossovers. Also in the comics, Daredevil is kind of a smartass, he´s not meant to be brooding 24/7. The problem is that the She-Hulk series isn't very good IMO.

The dude appeared in one episode, and really, if anything, most of character was in tact with the things they added for him just for the sake of the episode. My biggest problem with Daredevil in She-Hulk is that he is painfully unnecessary. Other than giving him his golden suit and his 73rd girlfriend, it feels like they threw him in the show because they knew fans probably wouldn't watch it if they didn't. He added pretty much nothing to the story and the story added pretty much nothing to him. However I think saying that this show ruined him is a bit overdramatic. Yeah the show is superior in almost every way, but I don't think that means that he was necessarily bad in the show. So long as Charlie Cox is in the role I think you'd be hard-pressed to call his character ruined, since he brings his A-game into every one of his appearances, including this one. And the terrible "My ass remains unwhooped" line not withstanding, his humor was honestly delivered in a way that felt natural and at times actually funny despite not aligning with his Netflix appearances. You also forgot to mention actual stand out moments like the courtroom scene where he absolutely clowns on Jennifer. It's honestly one of his best courtroom scenes in my opinion when compared to the super preechy and inaccurate monologue that cheapened Frank Castle's trial (And that's coming from someone who loves season 2 more than the average person). I think you're valid to be mad about his super lazy and unimaginative inclusion in She-Hulk, but to go as far as saying that they've ruined him? From just one fucking episode on a TV show no one's gonna remember in a months time? Yeah I'm gonna wait until we get trailers and more info for his actual show before I go that far.

Did you guys forget that the Netflix shows are MCU shows? When they were announced, they were announced as MCU shows, and the characters in the shows acknowledge the stuff that took place in the MCU.

Daredevil is aloud to make jokes, especially when he’s on missions that are more light hearted like this, he did that in season 2 of daredevil. If he’s fighting someone like the kingpin or punisher, he’ll be serious, but when he’s around more goofier characters like she hulk, he doesn’t need to be serious. Daredevil isn’t marvels Batman, and people need to stop trying to make him that. I’m more then fine now with seeing the show as canonical to the mcu, because this is what that daredevil would do if he went on crazy adventures like this, he wouldn’t be some dreary character that makes you depressed, he’d put a smile on your face with his weird humor. @Eric Carter you're so right about everything regarding Disney's monopoly on Marvel. They have destroyed our favorite characters and it seems like things will only keep getting worse. I have zero expectations for Daredevil Born Again, and Disney will never take a risk doing R-rated Marvel movies, even though a large majority of Marvel Comics are R-rated.
This is why the first half of season 2 of Daredevil is my favourite, Frank and Matt are completely different people. Matt doesn't want to kill people because he thinks everyone deserves a chance at redemption. And Frank on the other hand, doesn't want these criminals to get another chance so he kills them, they both completely stay in their characters and when they clash, both their ideologies seem justified.
The huge problem about MCU imo is the same old comedic tone they use on characters who are meant to be taken seriously.

Worst movie, Captain Marvel. The character has no story arc progress. Her powers were always that amazing to begin with, and somehow she knows how to utilize them to the fullest extent.
Personally I feel like Matt's personality felt natural, he was acting in response to Jen's energy, it felt as though he knew he could open up a bit around her. Don't get what all the fuss is about.
She Hulk is honestly the worst MCU show by far, in the comics Jennifer was a Shy and Timid woman who never considered herself beautiful, and was always closed off, when she turned into the She Hulk, She did have some problem at first but eventually learns how to control her form, and not only that but She actually prefers being She Hulk than Jennifer, giving an interesting dynamic to the Hulk who is scared of his Hulk form, She also has a close relationship with Bruce, considering Bruce had to take shelter in her home to get away from His Abusive father, in The show she is a narcissistic, Self Righteous Idiot who constantly invalidates and lectures Bruce, and even has the nerve to say that she controls her anger infinitely more than him, To a Guy who had to run from the Government, and tried to off himself simply because he wanted to end his suffering
Yeah. She seems to think that she's tortured and has a hard life and even the show WANTS you to think that too. But when compared to the other heroes in the MCU including Black Widow and HER childhood trauma's after being submitted into the Black Widow program, and Tony Stark who was given a brutal reality check aswell as Bruce Banner's traumatic past. Jennifer's troubles seem minuscule in comparison and from a story and character perspective, they are exponentially less interesting than the other superheroes in the MCU.
It feels like they are trying really hard to TELL you that you should care, but they haven't SHOWN you why you should care.

Marvel should hire actual writers who are fans and passionate about the comics/characters, instead of hiring activists who want to push their agendas instead of telling a good story. Theres barely a plot in She Hulk. And Eric is 100% right about Marvel keeping us from seeing Daredevil until episode 8, because they KNEW that people wouldn't watch the show otherwise, and that just shows how little faith they had in this show. Even they knew it would fail.

I do also think that Daredevil should have appeared against Walters in court like you said, but the way I would introduce him would be all the way back to episode 1, It would show Walters winning a court case without a distraction from a horrible villain, but this time she doesn't have her powers when she gets attacked in the alleyway, then out of the shadows a person in a devil costume saves her from the muggers (and not in 20 different shots for 1 scene like they made him do) and then the episode ends with Walters asking, "Who are you?" and he responds, "I'm Daredevil" as his theme gets played as the episode ends. On the 2nd episode Walters gets her powers the way she got them in the comics, gets hired in the superhuman law division and goes up against Matt Murdock in the Abomination case.

Charlie Cox has stated that Daredevil won't steer away from his source material from him being serious and broody in an interview he did at D-23. I do have faith in Daredevil born again. I don't like phase 4, but I did like Daredevil in the show. I do think he was a little to light hearted in the show though. I think they were just trying to have fun with him here before he gets his new show. This was also literally only one episode aswell. I definitely don't think he was ruined here, We should have faith until Echo. Echo will be the drawing line to find out. I have Faith in Charlie Cox that he will help guide the MCU with his character. I definitely don't think he'll let it slide.

I don’t even like She-Hulk or most of phase 4 but I think a lot of your criticisms are very overblown, Daredevil told like one bad joke but that was about it. He ended season 3 on a happier note so it makes sense for him not to be Dark or serious 100% of the time, he still held a lot of the same character traits from the Netflix series. It honestly reminded me of DC's first Suicide Squad. The movie felt like a chopped up mess, scenes that were shot are missing, the scenes that made it in are cut off prematurely and the copious amounts of unfunny comedy was unbearable. Especially when they made that joke about the Thanos Dessert shop or whatever that was.

I feel like you’re misreading what daredevil was supposed to be in She-Hulk. He wasn’t supposed to have the main focus, we weren’t supposed to get the full character like we got in his show. We only get the side of him that Jen sees, because the show is from her perspective. He only felt “hollow” because Jen didn’t need to interact with the rest of his character (like the catholic part, the business owner part, the detective part, the part obsessed with Fisk and haunted by crime). She only saw Matt’s lawyer side and his loving side, and it’s her show, so that’s all we saw too. It’s not that the rest of his character isn’t there, it’s just not a part of She-Hulk’s story. I’m sure we’ll get other parts of Daredevil in Echo, and hopefully we’ll see him in his entirety when he’s the main character again of his own show.

Comic reader here. most likely disney will take from Mark Waid's Daredevil run instead of sticking with the Frank Miller Daredevil which is what we saw from the netflix series.

I thought daredevil was near perfect in she-hulk. In his arc through the end of daredevil season 2, defenders, and season 3 we see Matt at his lowest point, and when he overcomes his demons at the end of the season, he seems to be in a much happier place mentally. Now we also have to consider that she-hulk canonically takes place around 6 or 7 years after daredevil season 3 (only around 2 years for Matt if we assume that he got blipped), so I genuinely think this light hearted take for the character works.
I feel like people also have to take into consideration that he's not in New York and there's no huge looming threat that's going to affect everyone Matt cares about. He's across the country getting a new super suit and hanging out with another superhero lawyer, he might as well be on vacation lol.
I think this more light hearted side of daredevil is something we should expect to see when Matt is hanging out with other superheroes, it just makes since. Matt loves the thrill that being daredevil brings him and it probably brings him a lot of joy to be able to share that with other heroes. We see a little bit of this side of him in defenders (although not a lot since he was still going through his mega depressed arc). I just hope that this version of the character is something we'll eventually get to see interact with spiderman, because that is something I have ALWAYS wanted to see in live action.

People who claim that Daredevil has always been lighthearted: See Bendis' Daredevil, Brubaker's Daredevil, Soule's Daredevil, Zdarsky's Daredevil. Most of his modern era has not been lighthearted. His best story (Born Again is not lighthearted in the least, nor is The Man Without Fear or End of Days). I get that different writers have different interpretations, but applying that to TV makes for bad writing. Saying he's always been lighthearted is flatly untrue. Stop misrepresenting history because you don't like that people aren't enjoying this interpretation (which can't decide if it's the same interpretation as Netflix).

Nah, Daredevil being able to go dark and light is perfect. He can kick it with Ghost Rider, then hangout with Spider-Man. He can go get into a street brawl with Kingpin and the Punisher, then also flirt with She Hulk and even fight along Kamala Khan because Murdock is a chill dude with a catholic background who believes in morality. This video has Daredevil twisted. The reviews of this show online are great too. MCU is gonna be alright and people are even more hyped to watch the new shows now.
The whole metaphor with “Daredevil should be like Batman” is also a horrible decisions. The characters are both VERY different and should not be treated the same.

This argument is invalid. The Netflix Marvel shows are MCU canon and were always made with the current MCU’s approval and inclusion. A current release, “Werewolf by night” is a straight counter point to the complaints of CGI and not enough practical effects.
The plot line boasted here of “what should have happened” is actually lazy writing and would include a multi-episode arc to have any effect. The writers who decided to show them working together right away knowing each other’s identity is perfect, especially after being against each other in court and talking at the bar. The audience would have been waiting for the pin to drop and it made sense in the penultimate episode for it to stay as a compact storyline that didn’t derive too far from a superhero lawyer show.
It’s ironic that the main complaints here are that “MCU is too formulaic” but the argument is to keep to the formula of the Netflix established tone, which was also established by the MCU. 🤔

While was this wasn't what I was expecting, I still feel he'll have that dark tone in the Daredevil series.
The court scene in She-Hulk is a brief moment of what I wanted to see more of in the actual Daredevil show since it happened like only a couple of times in the show itself. Also I do prefer the yellow and red suit since the colours look more appealing and some of the jokes with action were nice to see compared to the constant grounded feel of the Netflix show
Now I’m not saying it’s perfect but I did get some genuine enjoyment from this episode and if they took those aspects and combined them with talented writers with a mature feeling story, Daredevil Born Again could be a really great show that is the best of both worlds (the Netflix and Disney+ shows)

So I just found out that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson won’t be returning as Karen and Foggy (likely also meaning that Wilson Bethel won’t be coming back as Bullseye either). My level of excitement for this new Daredevil show has now gone from a 3/10 to a 1.
I heard about that too. I don't know HOW you can tell a story of Matt Murdock without them. Especially with how strong their relationship became at the end of Daredevil Season 3. My guess is that Marvel don't know what to do with side characters if they aren't the comic relief or put in a superhero costume.
It's a shame. The show is also going to include Jon Bernthal's Punisher. But in a PG-13 setting (and we all know how base level Disney MCU'S PG-13 ratings are) his character is not going to be done justice.

1. She Hulk twerking. With emo Peter there was at least some thinking behind it about how a dork like Peter THINKS this is what it's like to be cool when really it's not.
And even though it didn't really work, I at least understood it.
There is no understanding the twerking scene. Aswell as the constant references to Meghan Thee Stallion.
2. I never read Professor Hulk comics. So I can't comment on them.

I didn't mind daredevil in she hulk bcz honestly he was the only good thing abt the show and i thought his chemistry with tatiana was good and i think Tatiana is good casting choice but the script/excecution was beyond horrible in this show
Do you think you’ll ever do a versus video of the Suicide Squad movies? Or maybe The Suicide Squad vs Peacemaker? I would love to see you go into detail about the 2021 Suicide Squad movie. One suggestion that I have is a versus video of Peacemaker and Black Adam since they both focus on villains who have to save the world.
I will definitely try to do a versus video of Suicide Squad at some point. But I got to it too late so I am going to have to delay my versus videos on that.

5:00 Except the Turtles Forever crossover is heavily disliked among a huge number of the 80s TMNT fandom. The crossover had the 80s turtles were so overly goofy it was to the point of parody a lot of people who grew up with the 80s show didn't like the portrayal of their characters, which is why they prefer how the 2012 series handled the 80s incarnations in that show's crossovers.
Also in the comics, Daredevil is kind of a smartass, he´s not meant to be brooding 24/7. The problem is that the She-Hulk series isn't very good IMO.

@@kodekYT Ya’ll are acting like the entire show of She-Hulk was about Daredevil, and it wasn’t. The dude appeared in one episode, and really, if anything, most of character was in tact with the things they added for him just for the sake of the episode. I get it, seeing Daredevil do the things he did in this episode was sorta outta character, but he’s not ruined lol. People didn’t seem to mind that Thor’s a goofball, did the MCU ruin Thor? No, not really. Hulk’s now a super genius, so did they ruin the Hulk too? That topic’s up for debate, but most people would get my point. None of them are perfect, I’ll admit that, and I’ll give it to you that Daredevil’s appearance in this episode wasn’t exactly the best, but to go as far as to say that the MCU ruined Daredevil over something this super small in just his actions of the latest episode of She-Hulk is hilariously baffling when you think about it. Again, the show isn’t about him, it never was and it’s never gonna be, get over it already.

My biggest problem with Daredevil in She-Hulk is that he is painfully unnecessary. Other than giving him his golden suit and his 73rd girlfriend, it feels like they threw him in the show because they knew fans probably wouldn't watch it if they didn't. He added pretty much nothing to the story and the story added pretty much nothing to him. However I think saying that this show ruined him is a bit overdramatic. Yeah the show is superior in almost every way, but I don't think that means that he was necessarily bad in the show. So long as Charlie Cox is in the role I think you'd be hard-pressed to call his character ruined, since he brings his A-game into every one of his appearances, including this one. And the terrible "My ass remains unwhooped" line not withstanding, his humor was honestly delivered in a way that felt natural and at times actually funny despite not aligning with his Netflix appearances. You also forgot to mention actual stand out moments like the courtroom scene where he absolutely clowns on Jennifer. It's honestly one of his best courtroom scenes in my opinion when compared to the super preechy and inaccurate monologue that cheapened Frank Castle's trial (And that's coming from someone who loves season 2 more than the average person). I think you're valid to be mad about his super lazy and unimaginative inclusion in She-Hulk, but to go as far as saying that they've ruined him? From just one fucking episode on a TV show no one's gonna remember in a months time? Yeah I'm gonna wait until we get trailers and more info for his actual show before I go that far.

Did you guys forget that the Netflix shows are MCU shows? When they were announced, they were announced as MCU shows, and the characters in the shows acknowledge the stuff that took place in the MCU.

First of all, you dont know the difference between being sarcastic and make irony out of repeating another person's jokes and being goofy yourself. Matt repeats in an ironic way jen's lines and yep, that's totally in character for him. Secondly, we've seen what, 10 minutes of daredevil? It's supposed to be a fucking she-hulk series, not a daredevil one. Why should he be more violent? Comparing him to the CW isnt necessarily fair. Arrow and Flash was being produced by the same people while the production team of ABC which did daredevil and the (god awful) production team of She-Hulk has nothing to do with each other. Ok, CGI was awful for daredevil but the second fight was meant to be a homage to his series, not an exclusively daredevil hallway fight. He wasnt turned into a joke, in fact jen looked like a goofball next to him and matt himself cringed very hard in a few shots with Jen. He was tottally in character and born again will be great.

Marvel, bring Daredevil back on Netflix
Daredevil is aloud to make jokes, especially when he’s on missions that are more light hearted like this, he did that in season 2 of daredevil.
If he’s fighting someone like the kingpin or punisher, he’ll be serious, but when he’s around more goofier characters like she hulk, he doesn’t need to be serious.
Daredevil isn’t marvels Batman, and people need to stop trying to make him that.
I’m more then fine now with seeing the show as canonical to the mcu, because this is what that daredevil would do if he went on crazy adventures like this, he wouldn’t be some dreary character that makes you depressed, he’d put a smile on your face with his weird humor.
Marvel didn’t “ruin” anything, they just gave you a look into what the character you know would do in a situation as frivolous as this

I wish that HBO got to daredevil before Disney+ could. Seriously I think the darkness of True Detective and the realistic aspects of The Wire could have made daredevil great again.
HBO's parent company had to sell itself off how many times?.. and a possible one in 2024. They had to shut down DC all access and Hbo max ..meanwhile, Disney+ passed its 8 year sub goal in under 2 and Technically already passed netflix. There IS an alternate universe out there where Ironman 1 failed, WB is alive and well and buys up the marvel characters that would have been auctioned off

I’ve given up hope on marvel at this point, they fucked up she hulk, they also messed up black widow and falcon, no way home was an overrated of such average movie, and multiverse of madness and love and thunder were mid as hell, they ain’t hyping up anyone by showing living tribunal and eternity, they promised to show galactus but just haven’t and even if they did I wouldn’t care, they gotta stop putting quality over quantity, it’s too hard to watch
