Ive always wanted to try one of those european driven activities. Its very foreign for us being in N. America and hunting large wild lands or roadless wilderness areas. BTW ia digging that jacket.

I used to have a Sauer 90 in .308, only the divorce forced me to get rid of it.. I really like the look of that rifle, not to keen on the scope mounting system, I went with the cheap and cheerful Brenner BR18 in .308 when I renewed my Jagdschein or Hunting license, btw I’m in Bremen, no snow here. WMH

@@CuxCuruba als Zugereiste hat’s mir noch Haus und Hof Gesundheit und alles was dazugehört auch noch gekostet, aber eine guten kommt bekanntlich wieder, aber starker und weiserer. Geblieben ist nimmer viel von den alten. Oh and if you’re taking the piss, get stuffed.. wenn nicht dann bedanke ich mich für fur deinem Mitgefühl..
I have no problem with mount solution for sauer or blaser in fact I think they ate better than picatinny rail bc there is a play in it with mounts . My issue is the redicilous price.
You might be pleasantly surprised on the new pricing structure
Having both (Weaver rail +Recknagel detachable mount on my Bar Mk3 and Blaser on my R8) Blaser design is far better and faster for sure and there is no more a big prices difference today if not using low cost/quality rail mount.
Nice piece of kit. Simplification is always good for a bush rifle.

Could you recommend the most accurate hunting ammo in that particular rifle?
I expected some other changes but i will wait for the prices and see to get one in 7x64 or 9.3x62 with a 22 inch barrel. It is beyond me why they only offer a standard length of 20 inch and if you want 22 is an optional extra.
Bolt being one piece makes no sence to me either that you can not change the bolt head but need to buy a whole new bolt if going from medium to magnum. I actually love the SUM system.
Weight has gone up but only by 290 grams so it is not to crazy. Polymer magazine not a fan.
Plus side is it will fit in my sauer 404 case. They are offering more stock options. The barrel finish is new - plasma nitrated unsure of the advantages .
Appreciate your video. Being a 404 owner i am looking forward to seeing the prices for the 505 once it's confirmed for Australia as i would love a Synchro XT this time over the Classic XT stock on the 404 i currently have.
Do you know if the 505 stock will fit a 404? ( Thinking 99.9% that you can would love to get the Ergo Lux or Artemis with the adjustable comb also )
Got the info - Barrels and stocks are interchangable between 404 and 505.
