Amazing animation of shock absorber. I request permission to use a bit part of this video for the purposes of my youtube channel content. Thank you🙏 Greeting from Indonesia🇲🇨
Earlier this month, I accidentally ran over the octagonal shape yellow curb that separates the drive thru lane from the parking lot at McDonald's with the right side of my car, and I'm REALLY hoping that didn't damage anything. I could have SWORN I was past it.
It all depends on the symptoms shown by the shocks. Even with a worn shock, the car would still be able to drive but the suspension performance and comfort will get affected. After several thousand miles of operation cycles, 1. Oil seals could break (You could lift the dust boot inside the coil over and see if the piston rod has oil presence. Ideally it should be clean) 2. You could check rubber isolators on the strut mount (under the hood and just below the base of the coil-over) to see if its torn. 3. A strut with worn interior would act stiff making the compression and rebound movement inconsistent. 4. You could also check for worn bushings on lower arm joints, sway bars/stabilizer bar which are crucial parts of the suspension system. If you are new to this, we highly recommend to get it inspected by a trusted professional. Hope this helps ✌
@@autotechlabs Yes it help and thanks for deep detail. It's great that if you make a detail video with different situation of assessment concept clarity of 3D animation.
I've just changed My shock absorbers and forgot to mount the plastic cover that protect them against mud and dust..... I'll have to do everything again .....
You need something above 1.5L at the least. Look for PSA engines or Duratorque Tiger, Lynx series engines. Most of them are common rail inline 4 cylinder. Detailed listing could be found in Wiki.

How to check the shock absorber for a common person whose owner of car. What to check and after how many miles or kilometers do these get changed.
