Valorant isn’t dead or everyone lost interest I think it’s because the hype was TOO LARGE for the game to realistically hold so only the people who actually like the game play it
exactly I personally don't like the shooter mechanics that both Valorant and CSGO share... Bullets not landing where you're aiming at is so annoying and unsatisfying, that along with the boring repetitive kind of gameplay makes it a no no for me.. Idk why I'm saying this, it's basically csgo and I always hated that shit, however valorant is better

It's hard making another tac shooter because it'll be populated with players that are into tactical shooters e.g. Csgo/R6. New players obviously get turned off because they're absolutely new and having a Csgo 5k hours vet one tap them across mid isn't fun

Yeah I mean it's kinda delusional to think the game is dead when it's so new and it takes seconds to find matches. (Haven't played in a while but it literally found matches as soon as I queued so I can't imagine it's changed too much)
it has a lot to do with the fact that most people don’t want to hold one angle for 2 and a half minutes without moving a muscle only to miss 90% of their shots if and when somebody does cross the line of sight
the public werent saying shit lmao it was all the people with gaming careers trying to save themselves from fortnite and jumping onto the hype train in order to saving their dying careers. Who the fuck likes valorant
From a CS:S approach, one significant issue that stands out is the *map design.* Valorant maps are more like intermediate community-made Counter-Strike maps. The mapmaker understands how it plays and flows, but it has too much symmetry, too many right angles, strikes as too artificial and less interesting.
I was going to mention that Volcan0, an old cs mapper helped make these maps etc. But I think this is pretty spot on, it even has basic mistakes like random drop off points that drop 1in, which doesn't seem much but having bumpy movement is very unnatural. Not to mention the amount of collision of objects on the ground in certain maps just seems super weird.
And how about the design of every bomb site in the game? They are so bad! They are small open areas that at the same time have like a dozen different spots for enemy to hide in, or nowhere to hide at all. How come almost every map in CS:GO allows a single person to clear every planr site alone, but in Valorant your best strategy is to just run in and hope the enemy is going to try to peak you?
"The game is dead". People say this after every big release dies down and settles into its core audience. They said it after Apex Legends and that game is even bigger now. Not everyone who plays or streams the game after release will end up being a regular player. People who dropped off because they didn't end up sticking with the game isn't any evidence of the game 'dying'.
Mhm I used to love apex and I always panicked about it dying since I got harassed at school for playing it instead of fortnite. Waiting about 6 months+ imo is the best time to say a game is dead, esp if it has a HUGE release
@@aegiselle I wouldn't call it dying as a whole. I'd say that just the hype died down and the community settled as the OP said. And I don't think every game "dies" a couple of months after the release. It might be just haters trying to shit on new competition and new threats to the throne of the main title. Just as your example with Fortnite and Apex (and the other Battle Royale games) And I'm sorry you had to experience that. Let down an interest or something you genuinely like because you're forced to by insults and other ways. Hoo boy, that happens a lot and will happen even more in the future, as the videogame industry is expanding exponentially. I hope you can now enjoy playing Apex and be open about it despite what you went through.
Nobody speaks about a dead game, they expected it to be the next big thing. Which is not its just a game that is like cs go with a sauce of paladins over it. Which is pathetic for a studio like riot They should show some fucking more ambition and take way more risk. Their focus is all on e sport, it could be their down fall on the long term. Because lol will not stay extremely popular for another 10 years imo. Games will change a lot in the next 10 years at least i hope
It somehow got spread through the Overwatch community as "The Overwatch Killer". When I realised this is more like CS:GO than Overwatch or what I had hoped for Quake. I quickly lost interest.
@@dragonsthatfly4508 Yeah if it's a "spike" since -bomb- is a bad word in this day in age. Why do you defuse a spike? Literally the only 2 things you defuse is either a situation or a -bomb- .
Same has valorant. i dont get why people think valorant is dying, its literally only been out for 3 months. Look at fortnite at 3 months, now its one of the most popular games 😂
@five sevenIt was just flat out ignored by the outside. No one cared about GO when it came out other then people who played CS. I remember buying it day one and dropping it like a week later. No one talked about it outside of those communities for years until they fixed all the things people hated about GO vs soruce/1.6 I am enjoying player valorant fairly casually still but it's clear the game was half backed. There is not nearly enough variety in the game currently. Needs 2-3 more maps and probably another 4-5 characters before you will get meaningful difference game to game. When it gets to that state I could see me putting in more time then the one or two sessions a week I currently play. Riot has that 10 cent money and if they are going to keep those silly skin prices the same you can bet they will dump millions more into the game to keep it alive. Every game is just a way to sell cosmetics now sadly :(

Some valid points but in the end, who knows what Valorant will look like a few years down the line They're already planning a new map as well as agent every 2 months starting now
looking at the comments with people saying that all 3 games (csgo, ow, valorant) are dead in some way made me realize just how stupid this discussion is in the first place if it's all gonna be fanboyism. someone did shit on splatoon randomly, though, that was kinda funny.
@Kaveer Malik Developers said it was canceled because it was to complicated but it wasn't canceled cus it never started but thats what he said im not a developer so i dont know if its true
yeah it's so weird, csgo had the most number of players it has ever had recently, and valorant stil has more viewers than csgo on twitch when theres no tournament happening in csgo
I dont think the popularity is "down" by any means, it's just the paid streams and promotions gave it a super strong start in comparison to now. I think the game still has a lot of potential but obviously nothing will surpass the hype at the beginning, like most games.
@@JaimeareRainey the game isn't dead its just not as talked about as before the launch... and it's no one's fault it's natural, no new game is gonna be hype for so long, people found out that's a cartoonish csgo with 10% hero shooter style... I. personally don't hate it, I just find it boring and repetitive, just like cs of course, and I hate csgo, so valorant being better than csgo for me is a big +
I mean it's logical thinking that the "hype" will go away when the game is released and everyone can play it. This game for sure is not for everybody. The problem is when you expect "Overwatch" and realize you didn't listen to the information that Riot has given about the game. Also many players quit because they think it's "boring". That's a slow paced Tactical FPS. It's not a CoD Deathmatch, what's essentially FPS Fast Food. Also many players quit because they realize it's not easy to get good and they are tired of getting headshots. There is no game for everybody. Play whats fun to you and good. The game will evolve and will become a fixed part of E-Sports in my opinion. I really think it's kind of a stretch to expect an online-multiplayer-game to release in a perfect state.
Biggest turn off is bad moving mechanics. I still play the game casually in a spike rush but the moving mechanics of games like csgo is what really has motivated the community
@@iloveujerzy7534 all I found in Valorant was a more realistic and aim rewarding movement. Not glitching no weird gunmechanics with killing with just your eyes. It is slower yes, but fixes a lot of issues CS has.
The hype isn't gone, people just say the game is already "dead" because the number of views on twitch and how fimiliar it is to CS:GO. People that play valorant, put hundreds of hours grinding and still are hyped. The reason why people aren't hyped for VALORANT is because no one wants to switch from their own game.

This situation you’re talking about... is almost THE definition of a failed launch... In shooter game market, even those biggest titles like cod or battlefield still need to carefully plan their launch date to avoid directly competing against each other. Because no matter how good a new game is, most people just don’t want to even try it once, at least before they get bored with their current playing game. And if a new game missed the opportunity in launch, it’s almost impossible to get the same level of attentions ever again.
With almost 3k hours in counter strike, I find valorant fun. It's kinda like smurfing in csgo while also trying to learn and improve more as I play more and more at the same time. I used to play cs very competitivly (was solo lem) but stopped being so competitive about it after the game became free to play and there were hackers everywhere even in prime. In valorant I feel like being competitive again. I like the game overall. I have only two issues, 1. The map designs are shit, there's are corners that you can't back out from. On ascent you are literally stuck in the site if they push you. There are some really strong positions you can take advantage of that are unbalanced but I guess you can kinda deal with this stuff and I hope it gets better over time especially the sheer amount of corners in the game 2. The shitty region system, I live in pakistan and play cs go on Dubai/middle east servers with 40-50 ping. But this game I have play on EU on 130-150 ping. There are SEA servers as well that give my 90 ping but I can't play on them, to play on them I have to use a VPN, create a new account and set the region to India. I don't understand why I am not in the region of SEA servers and India is. I am right next to India, the border is less then 50km away. Not to mention but using a VPN causes other connection problems depending on what VPN you use. It becomes a lot more fun to watch when you’re playing and trying to improve at it. Seeing a situation you’ve been in, and a pro masterfully executing a counter or sticking to a well made plan or adapting on the fly...it makes you want to play more. It’ll be fine, imo.
But thats true with any competitive fps tho, why give Tencent money to make a lazy chinese copy of someone else's work? The only reason this game is even made is because Overwatch 2 is coming out soon, they don't want the chinese demographic being pulled in by Blizzard (yet another company that caters almost exclusively to china)
Currently it's very stale to watch. I don't have much hopes for this game. They tried to copy csgo but everything is shit, gets boring after 100hrs unlike cs

It's like R6, at first it was kinda shitty and now it's not a perfect game but a really good game imo.
The game itself is solid and can only get better from here. We enjoy playing it ourselves, but also understand where a lot of the criticisms are coming from such as the poor match making at the launch of ranked where premade 5-man full stacks would be matched against 4-1 or even 3-2 opponents.

VitinRitsu Like OW did? I do think you’re right about Valve. They definitely need to step up their game. They have fixed big issues that ppl in the community have been complaining about for the longest time.

At the end of the day, Riot Games understands that VALORANT is an unforgivingly competitive game that isn't meant for everyone and they're alright with that. With that said, what do you think the future holds for VALORANT and what would you like to see added or changed?
Bullet slowdown and aimpunch need to be much lower and characters are much slower and harder to control than in cs were you can shoulder peak without dying because you are so slow

I can't keep playing the game just because of how atrocious the layouts are. They aren't fun to play on, they aren't aesthetically pleasing, they feel annoying

In the end, all games have a repetitive side. FPS shooters are the same thing most of the time, rpg is just going back and forth, sports games are sports, story games you can only really play once or twice before they get repetitive, sandbox games you have to make your own content most of the time, puzzle games get easy the second time; i mean just look at all the genres out there and you will find repetition. It can be boring yes, but it gave people something new, something fresh where most players are starting out the same as you. if you join csgo or fortnite now, its nearly impossible because so many people have hundreds and hundreds of hours on them. New players are just free kills or easy wins. And with the hype, part of it was probably paid-streamers but more could have been from that fresh breath of a new game. I switched from fortnite to valorant and I have had the most fun I've had in a while. I don't have to deal with "professional" 12 year olds and I get to learn the game with maybe 60-70% of this new community. the other 30% came from games like csgo who got beta and just needed to learn the abilities. From where I see it valorant can go 2 ways in the next few months: 1. The game will become really fun with feedback from the community being taken and being implemented in making it a great game 2. players will leave because nothing really exciting or new is happening and the game will die off and players will either go back to their last game or jump on the next bandwagon for a hype game we will see what the future holds for Valorant
That being said, I started playing CSGO earlier this year and I’m absolutely loving it. The problem isn’t the skill gap (unless you’re just trying to rank up), it’s more so that the community is very toxic to new players. SoloQing as a new player is a bit brutal, but in a few weeks it gets better

Dude, it only takes a few games to unlock them. In fact, you get unlock boost, your first 1-2 agents you unlock almost instantly. You can also pay to unlock them, if you need to.
Yall just do the daily and weekly quests. If you can't do those kill 100 enemies probably you just aint a good shot that's why it takes yall a long time to unlock a single agent 😪
@MALEK001 001 what the fuuu One agents require around 375,000 exp i think 1 round gave you 100 exp 1 win round gave you 200 exp I think the limit was around 5k exp i think To the quest... There's two daily quest along with 3 weekly quest I estimate by doing all the quest you get around...150k exp It isn't possible to unlock all the agents in around...4 days you said? Along with you saying 5 games each so i estimate.... You get 249k exp *WEEKLY* So...how do you unlock all agent in 20 matches?
As an old Cs and Dota player, hearing that you have to grind for characters lodged my palm deeply into my face. Competitive games where you don't get access to the competitive tools...
Played CS as kid and Dota for a week (couldn't even understand how to start learning the game sadly, too deep for me), BUT the "competitive tools" where there since the begining. (i believe you need 50 Dota games to unlock all the characters but whatever, if you like the game 50 matches aren't that much in the long run). Riot games always exploited the "playtime/cash for your competitive tools", it's not a Valorant thing, since the start of league with only 2 free "rune pages" to players (then only can get more via IRL money) made the game feel unfair since you only were able to tweak those "rune pages" before geting in a Q for a game, so if you had lik 10 "rune pages" your adptability was pretty bigger than a player who did not pay. That doesn't count the fact of having to buy champs, via IRL money or via "playtime currency" (like valorant); and in League with the enormous number of characters aviable and the fact that you can't pick (in the pick&ban phase) characters you don't have for your team mates, buying "rune pages"+ characters made your "draft wining chances" realisticly higher. Even being a League player for almost 6 years I couldn't agree more with what you said in such a simple of brilliant way, sorry for the rant but wanted to go "more deep" as a "Riot Games player", games made by Riot are games designed to milk the customers while artificially building esports enviroments via exploiting the League of Legends fame their esport industry have, hope it makes sense I have to keep improving my english.
all of the first unlocked characters are good enough for competitive. also you need to play 20 games first to play ranked. so it's enough time to pick that locked agent that you want. in the end, it's about the strat and how you execute it.

Clutching 1v5 feels like im at b site in mirage again but with a nice view and framerate. I feel like alot of people hating on it never got into it enough and stopped early because they weren't good enough or felt like they couldnt kill anyone. My friends played a couple of games and stopped because they felt they couldnt peek, didnt know where to aim etc but when you get into it it really is great fun
@@amoha-y1f because its fun? Just because you don't like it doesnt mean others can't. Spells add a good way of alleviating the standard playstyle of tactical shooters and the way your team can coordinate executes can be real good fun
@five seven Not really. The utility is there to simplify but it doesnt remove it entirely. Mechanical ability and game sense goes way above utility usage. A person with godlike crosshair placement, game sense will stomp on anyone thats good with utility and bad or worse with aim. Utility is rarely used in the middle of battle. If it is its to stall not to win.
If you use utility they know where you are, in clutches you rarely use it. When engange you use it before. If something this game makes you have to work around the opponents utility more where as CS had it flatlined. Ive got about 2 k hours in cs and used to be LEM so I do know the game quite well. The only thing imo cs does way better is to handle ops since each character has smokes/flash where valorant only has a selected few
There is just too much shit and maps are so tight . I use jett where jett has movement and smoke and inly ultimate has killing potentional but raze stupid bot can kill u and it requires no skill. Movement is slow , gun kills dnt give me any happiness as much as i get in csgo since spray is so easy. Idk , man i went back to csgo .. it is gold.
I think that is a good thing though. That is what gave it the appeal. A perfect balance between utility and gunplay. Overwatch doesn't have enough gunplay and cs:go's utility leaves something to be desired.
Obito Uchiha your dumb man. Dude razes bot isn’t meant to kill. It’s meant to give her info/a free peak. That’s raze for u she’s an agent that has many options to do stuff.
It was going to destroy CSGO by doing everything it did, but better. It was supposed to destroy Overwatch by making a hero shooter that was completely focused on mechanical skill since OW has so many “press button, get kills” type abilities. Unfortunately, Valorant still has the problem of too much visual clutter and the addition of Raze has displeased both the CS and OW crowd because of her free kill abilities.
Bob Joe Many OW players will say that the game is most fun when high skill heroes like Tracer and Genji are strong and when low skill heroes like Mei and Reaper are low tier. Raze is the latter. Ideally, such characters shouldn’t even be in the game, but if they have to be, they should only be viable in pubs or low level play.
@@endoftime0 yeah, fair point. I do have a few friends who play quite regularly, but they're not that good so I can't really queue comp with them without having a bad time.
I think he should’ve followed up by saying in overwatch it’s one big hit, and you play off of that big hit the rest of the game in order to win, but in Valorant, it’s one big hit, and the round is over. All the down time in Overwatch can be planning, pushing, routing, etc, but I’m valorant, especially since you buy your abilities and gain ult’s very quickly, it’s all a waiting game to see which team makes a mistake first. Which in my couple days of playing, has made me bored. Oh well, onto the next disappointing(to me) game.
Ya because they are different games, his point still stands and is genuinely fair. I’ve been trying to watch pro games and you see this much more clearly.
Pretty sure he meant how you okay for setups, flash shatter Grav dragon Nano blade ect. ect. Comparing setting up smokes at choke points and planning out the big push to stacking ults into one big team fight in overwatch
My favorite part of the so called hype was when every esports magazine thought that it will beat BR games in viewership. And nope, BR games like fortnite and COD warzone are here to stay.
@@danr8267 well.. Nothing. It's actually really good to have fun and streamable games out there. It's just these are not esports, no matter how much money epic pumps in there.
Valorant's biggest problem was apparent before the game even launched: complete content lockdown by Riot. It's very similar to Blizzard's approach to games. They create a space where all content in the game is entirely controlled by the company, and thus any community mods, maps, and other content is impossible to make. If Riot released a kit for people to make maps a month or two ago there would already be at least 3 maps that the community agrees to play tournaments on. In addition, being able to play on custom maps would allow both Riot and the community to come to solutions for the godawful map design of the current 4 maps. Riot probably spent a lot of time and money having people test matches on "simple" maps (I highly doubt they never had some sort of Dust 2 prototype to test on) when the community could have (and would have) done it for free, allowing for abilities to not be so limited in usage off the bat. A good example of this is how Riot used the community to fix Cypher's broken camera spots. Everything about the game is going to be released in Riots "well-designed" content space that 1. takes a significant amount of time to create and greenlight. 2. is going to have a very limited amount of testing (there is no fucking way they're going to have the amount of testing they need done inhouse and this already shows). 3. is very linear and subject to Riot's interpretations of 'good design', with any potential being squashed before it sees the light of day. League is based off of Dota. Dota was a Warcraft 3 mod. Counter-Strike was based off of a Half Life mod. Community-made content is at the heart of these games. Restricting content is one of the stupidest decisions I could see a company making, but here we are. Valorant was rushed, and part of this was not its own fault. Nobody could account for the coronavirus being this devastating. I'm sure this affected workflow heavily. But the biggest issues this game currently and will face in the near future were there from the word, "Go." Virtually nobody likes the maps in Valorant. It's not just reddit circlejerking. There are legitimate problems on every map. I think a big mistake was shaping abilities and maps around each other. I genuinely feel as though most current abilities barely impact gameplay. This isn't to say that abilities aren't important or that there aren't strong ones. But I think listening to pros making tier lists really changed the way I viewed utility in both CS and Valorant. I think it was Hiko that was saying the amount of flashes and smokes are so small in Valorant. In CS you possibly have a team with 5 smokes, 10 flashes and 5 HE grenades. It really clicked how limited Valorant currently is in utility usage. There are some abilities that can straight up win rounds in the right spots (Sage wall, Raze grenades, Raze ult, Brim ult, Breach ult, etc), but with smokes and flashes being so limited in amount their usage and placement becomes more important, because the two flashes you committed to a site can just be shut down with a single smoke, wall, slow, grenade, etc. I definitely feel like I rambled a lot but these things have been in the back of my mind as I've taken a break from Val to play other games.
You hit the nail on the head and i couldn't have said it better myself. Just for perspective i am a CS player with roughly 3.5k hours across all installments and the map design, as well as movement, is the thing truly holding this game back. And looking at the current perspective none of this is prone to change because of the incredibly close minded nature the developers seem to have. CS was birthed from the creative minds of thousands if not millions of players experimenting with design philosophies in terms of maps and even movement. The unintended movement of Bhopping revolutionized the way FPS games worked and spawned modes such as KZ and interlaced with the whole philosophy of what makes a good map. Just some examples in CSGO is Nuke silo jump, Mirage window hop, Cache mid jump to the T boost etc. All of these became so popular and widespread that they became map defining features in of themselves, so much so that they were patched to be easier in the case of Nuke and Cache. Valorant will never be able to achieve a similar feat in their maps because of the way they look at the development process behind maps. 50/50 corners and bullet tagging isn't fun to play against.
I'm cautious but optimistic that at the very least the OW2 content injects a little new life into the game. I want to keep seeing new hero ideas from this team, particularly healers and tanks.
I feel like this is the case for a lot of those games, great developers but shitty publishers. Games like OW and Apex are the perfect example, they felt very fun to play at first but every update feels like it's killing the game or not adding anything new.
I think it’s just because some of the streamers that I used to watch just went pro again and aren’t streaming as much(not to mention shroud, who’s one of the bigger advocates of the game not even on twitch or even streaming at all lol). Plus most of the streamers that got a lot of views don’t really play this genre of shooters or even this genre of game at all. We got LoL streamers like Yassuo playing and they just inflated the views of Valorant to abnormal rates in comparison to what this genre would normally have. And I don’t think the hype died, it just normalized. It’s already quite amazing that they immediately got a community of hundreds of thousands watching, which I noticed just because of how well valorant guides in youtube are getting views and 40+ mins games getting 200k views on the average as well. And for me, I actually haven’t considered the game in its current state to be fully released yet. It’s released for the public to play which is the better way of saying it. I guess wait a a few months for them to start actually releasing contents other than fixing stuff and more agents for me to consider it a full game. It’s like what happened to Apex for me TBH but not overwhelming like it is on overwatch.
Some streamers had to do it too because of their partnership program, at least that's what i heard, and i don't know much about yass but from what i know about him is that he's in said partnership and he doesn't really look the type a dude to play fps games
It just stabled down to a player base, Fall guys is around 50k users, Among us at 130k, Warzone, maybe around 75k-200k only popular in the west. And Valorant globally might be around 700k-1million. Valorant is one of the most promising esports in a while. More promising than overwatch. Easily accessible compared to heavy games like warzone.
@@definitelynotafamousyoutub6131 is there a chart somewhere that can prove that? Because its highly unlikely, imo to see a Paid, hard to run COD game bigger than a free to play easy to run riot game.
The hype for among us was weird I mean it was a 2 year old game when the hype started so obviously it wasn't gonna last long since it was more of a quick party game that youtubers and streamers milked to make it boring
Don't play fortnite myself but it doesn't seem very repetitive... You can drop different places on the map, your drops from chests will vary from game to game, etc. BRs seem like they have a lot of replayability because of the lack of repetition.
battlebots1 I did return to fortnite recently after quitting on Season 7, and I can tell that it is too repetitive. The devs just shuffle weapons and add minor adjustments on transportations. Sure new landscapes provide new experiences but only at the start of the season. 2 weeks later, a meta is spammed by most players (if there will be since you’ll always encounter bots at the beginning and middle of the match). The game’s combat has always been shotguns, automatic smgs or rifles, and building L’s or 180’s. It really becomes stagnant like PUBG where the cycle of finding supplies, wandering, encountering an enemy, winning or dying, then repeating is unnerving. Basically you get seconds or 2 minutes max worth of adrenaline after 10 minutes of lame content
I used to play the crap out of valorant when I got my beta key, it felt like a reward from twitch from actually watching streams. It felt rewarding to play valorant since it seemed to be a rather rare key. And now since its released I barely have the motivation to play anymore, Overwatch is a very forgiving competitive game, while valorant is a bland ripoff of Cs:go with some overwatch flair. I just wish there were more incentive to play valorant, like a good gun skin for your first played match, or hell even some valorant coins for people who play longer. Overall I'll probably just prefer overwatch, I'll occasionally play a bit of valorant here or there but I prefer the faster style of overwatch. It's like debating melee vs brawl. Sure brawl is the overall newer better game, but melee was so much faster that I'd rather play that. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Dude. I had the game in beta and 0 motivation to play. Hell u wouldn’t keep ur progress and It would be full of try hards. When it came out I played the hell out of it but when I unlocked all agents I got bored and I had to take a short break and I still don’t play it as much as I did. Same thing that happened with you. I hate Overwatch tho ngl altho their agent design is good and the elimination game mode is good
Also Overwatch normal game modes feel like a clusterfuck coin flip if I’ll win or not. Got the game a month ago. I mailed Ashe and just fucked everyone. I couldn’t play the normal game mode after awhile I was already better than my friends who played the game consistently. It’s legit full of noobs and casual players. Cs is full of tryhards and hackers. Valorant is right in the middle while in the future it would be leaning to the more try hard stuff because of how much options you have to do stuff
Your main motivation should be improving yourself, not content from the game. If you got bored by valorant that easily, then you play games casually, not competitively
I just realized this is one of the few games that I kept playing even though the hype is over. Now I realize how many hyped games I just dropped Pubg, Fortnite, Overwatch, CSGO, and more csgo is the only one i didnt drop immediatly now i only have 4 games i play regularly league, dota 2, minecraft(dont judge me) and valorant replacing csgo I guess im just bad at csgo thats why i dropped it and i look decent in valorant thats why i kept playing

i mean valorant is still fairly new when csgo first came out almost everyone collectively hated it it took valve a couple of years before achieving the success that cs is right now but by no means is it perfect nor was the journey to getting there smooth sailing (consider bs like the cz, aug, and the r8) im sure if riot intends on investing as much time and care into valorant as valve did to csgo, theyll have a solid game and community in probably less than 2 years
Never really found it interesting to watch, watched about an hour of it and got bored, I think that it feeling like a rip-off of other games definitely didn't help but the overall pace and look just put me off. And because of all this haven't had any intentions of playing it, Overwatch is pretty good at the moment (meta wise) so I'm sticking to that for now.
I think that 25 round games are actually more fun and nerve wracking than shorter rounds, due to lower stakes, which is why unrated is so much more popular than spike rush
I mean Riot is still developing Valorant and the care, feedback, and response to the community from the developers are great. Valorant is just an insanely boring game to watch. It's a game that people would much rather play, so we should be looking at playerbase and concurrent players rather than twitch viewership. Also, I think devs need to change prices, add a map, and balance a bit more, because that is about the only thing leaving a bad taste in many players mouths.
Ima say yes and no to that, it is boring to watch if u watch ur lambda plat or diamond streamer, but high competitive is very cool to watch, just like cs go. For the balance part the dev already do changes but they said that they will do changes little by little to not destroy their game by overdoing a nerf or a buff for example. And as for the maps i agree with u but personnally i don't really care about the number of map i can play on as long as the game feel right to play, and valorant is one of those.

Technically, every game IS repetitive, but it's up to the developers to find a good gameplay loop in order to make that repetitiveness unnoticeable. Some do it better, while others don't. I always found the competitive games like LoL, CS:GO, Overwatch, etc to be too repetitive in their gameplay loop; usually falling back into the same motions over and over, thus become a chore to play and unfun, and I think it's all thanks to how most depend on a META that players adopt. That META eventually killing game, because it's the best option of winning, and so you'll see just about everyone running it; which in turn leaves out any originality or room for experimentation because you know what the best route of play is toward winning. Sorry, went on a rant there, hahah.

I've played it. I'm an OW player and enjoy the gamesense of some of the characters more than the straight grinding hours to prefect flick shots in OW. I tried Valorant, and the characters feel very flat, as well as most of their abilities being used as CC. The orb of smokes, the ground filters, the "shoot an arrow to see radar" style... it's okay but it doesn't excite me. Maybe I'm just not a hardcore FPS player, but I uninstalled the beta before the game even launched because I never felt like I could "connect" with it.

I dont think the popularity is "down" by any means, it's just the paid streams and promotions gave it a super strong start in comparison to now. I think the game still has a lot of potential but obviously nothing will surpass the hype at the beginning, like most games.
As the game launches in more and more regions and with continual updates, VALORANT has amazing potential to pop off.

I have only two issues,
1. The map designs are shit, there's are corners that you can't back out from. On ascent you are literally stuck in the site if they push you. There are some really strong positions you can take advantage of that are unbalanced but I guess you can kinda deal with this stuff and I hope it gets better over time especially the sheer amount of corners in the game

Tf is this grammar
From where I see it valorant can go 2 ways in the next few months:
1. The game will become really fun with feedback from the community being taken and being implemented in making it a great game
2. players will leave because nothing really exciting or new is happening and the game will die off and players will either go back to their last game or jump on the next bandwagon for a hype game
we will see what the future holds for Valorant
That being said, I started playing CSGO earlier this year and I’m absolutely loving it. The problem isn’t the skill gap (unless you’re just trying to rank up), it’s more so that the community is very toxic to new players. SoloQing as a new player is a bit brutal, but in a few weeks it gets better

Yall just do the daily and weekly quests. If you can't do those kill 100 enemies probably you just aint a good shot that's why it takes yall a long time to unlock a single agent 😪

There's two daily quest along with 3 weekly quest
I estimate by doing all the quest you get around...150k exp
It isn't possible to unlock all the agents in around...4 days you said?
Along with you saying 5 games each so i estimate....
You get 249k exp *WEEKLY*
So...how do you unlock all agent in 20 matches?

The ability to upgrade your gun with each kill of someone with a similar gun is indeed a unique snowball mechanic that we might be other games adopt.

Another interesting side note is the release of valorant spiked CSGOs presence on twitch. Doubling the channels and viewers CSGO had by April.

I'm still surprised people expected the game to be bigger. It took League of Legends years to grow same for Fortnite and I don't think I've ever heard about a game as big as those that happens to be massive from the start. People have been blinded by the Twitch promotion stats and I don't know how nobody talked about the hype/release effect. Same happens with any event, there will always be more people at the start because there's always a good reason to leave for something else. That's why entertainment needs to get people hooked so they won't think about doing anything else.

"VALORANT has too many flaws"
Meanwhile the game has been officially released for 1 month, people need to relax and take a chill pill a
Ikr, how many flaws dies CS have even after two decades?
I know right there not gonna fix stuff with just the snap of there fingers
The biggest flaw is how slow and unskilled the game is. It just does not reward you for being a good aimer.
Society is unforgiving. If they see something in a bad state once, they will never come back to it. Siege and CS are games that aren't bare bones that you can play now. Why would people switch? And I'm not even mentioning China.
NCR Soldier because this game brings things those don’t. I like valorant, but I dislike cs and r6. Valorant has enough identity to exist in its own niche
I've been playing almost 10 hours a day since the global release, and I must say that I still have faith for Valorant's future.
How
Same. When you get into it you realize its not meant to be overwatch or csgo. Its a tactical shooter in its own right. I love the way you can find ways to use your abilities in the heat of the moment. Sure some games follow the same paths but the mindgames are real in this game.

It’s just a weird middle ground game. OW does pacing and abilities far better and CS GO has better gunplay. There’s just better games within its genre
Idk , man i went back to csgo .. it is gold.
I prefer the gun play in valorant except for the awp
I think that is a good thing though. That is what gave it the appeal. A perfect balance between utility and gunplay. Overwatch doesn't have enough gunplay and cs:go's utility leaves something to be desired.
Obito Uchiha your dumb man. Dude razes bot isn’t meant to kill. It’s meant to give her info/a free peak. That’s raze for u she’s an agent that has many options to do stuff.
Obito Uchiha also spray is not easy unless ur using an smg up close lol you still have to have better spray than ur opponent
I can’t understand how people was saying that this game will destroy OW and CS go even though these to games are completely deference
Valerie Love
Don’t really see how Raze would disappoint an OW player
@@ValerieLoveTV it was never ment to destroy ow.
@@ValerieLoveTV ults don't get you free kills in ow tho, a single hero from ow has more mechanical skills than any in valorant lol wdym?
Bob Joe Many OW players will say that the game is most fun when high skill heroes like Tracer and Genji are strong and when low skill heroes like Mei and Reaper are low tier. Raze is the latter. Ideally, such characters shouldn’t even be in the game, but if they have to be, they should only be viable in pubs or low level play.

I think he should’ve followed up by saying in overwatch it’s one big hit, and you play off of that big hit the rest of the game in order to win, but in Valorant, it’s one big hit, and the round is over. All the down time in Overwatch can be planning, pushing, routing, etc, but I’m valorant, especially since you buy your abilities and gain ult’s very quickly, it’s all a waiting game to see which team makes a mistake first. the game was overhyped like most games are, but I think even with a realistic expectation the game was disappointing.
No matter how much people rant about how dead overwatch is now or how the developers ruined the game. It did live up to what it was meant to be.
This is what happened: valorant and warzone together and then fall guys and today, among us
It just stabled down to a player base, Fall guys is around 50k users, Among us at 130k, Warzone, maybe around 75k-200k only popular in the west. And Valorant globally might be around 700k-1million.
