Nuun Official will always have a special place in my heart just as Bahrain where I lived for a few years.
Ronda makes some really cool movements. Some of the best quality for affordable complications.
…hey Simon ! the Nuun is pretty cool and to include both strap and bracelet is above and beyond…and can’t remember if i had a chance to tell you i’ve received my Black and White “Sketches” !
So cool you managed to get the Sketch (or two!!)
CIGA Design and Behrens are fantastic Chinese watch brands!
You know what man, I have never heard of any of these watches and that's refreshing. Rolex, Omega, Casio, Seiko.... blah blah blah blah. Thank you for giving us a good video and something different and unique.
Thanks so much 🙏 There's definitely more to life than Rolex and there must be a lot of folks who don't have Rolex money to spend on their hobby right now
@@Escapement24 I was really lucky this year and ended up with some personal stuff that wound me able to put some money together and get a really nice watch. I looked at Rolex for just the prestige of it and the best I could really afford was a time only Air King or an Explorer.
I looked at Omega's line up and ended up buying a time only Omega Railmaster for $2k and the Omega Mk40 for triple date $3k on the grey market for the price of one Rolex and not even one that matters. I understand the prestige and I understand they are to be respected but I am a function over value kind of guy. I love complications over gold or white gold. I'll take a complicated watch with stainless steel any day
@J.S.McDuff two nice watches there 👍 and I'm right with you on that - precious metals don't really hold much interest for me, but I do love complications or unusual design touches
benlydesign watches make a great GP cascette alternative for under 100 dollars
Great video Simon, that Nuun watch looks gorgeous, really expensive look but good price.
Thanks Joe, I've found it to be a good 'grab and go' piece over recent months. Just wanted to cover a few more affordable pieces to add some balance as not everyone has Omega or Rolex money to indulge their hobby!
Awesome video Nuun looks so cool planing to buy one but not sure how it looks on smaller wrist, what is your wrist size ?
I've got tiny wrists...around 6.25" and this one wears well for me
I feel like I should leave some bafflingly angry, entitled and personally insulting comment just because I wouldn't choose any of these watches myself, but I'm going to go wild and say thanks for the vid instead. 👍
That'll do for me! 😀
Great video brother ❤
Thank you so much Miguel! 🙏❤️
That Nuun Official is a real beauty, shame it only come with the weird numerals, not a big fan of that...
It's available with baton indices too
@@Escapement24 Got it thanks!
Wow this made me realize I’m so conservative. I find these extremely ugly. But regardless, absolutely respect and all the best wishes for people who are entrepreneurs in this space which is hard and expensive and risky. Hope these brands thrive.
Quartz, digital and weird ciga design toys , sorry mate I'm out.but everyone else don't let my opinion change your mind
I try to cover watches at all price points and quartz has it's place - I'm not pretentious and only cover the big Swiss brands. Next week it could be an MB&F, Moser or something else...
@@Escapement24 I watch your channel because I like your content and how you place normal brands on it ,cw, Tudor etc, I know you aren't pretentious and I didn't mean to make you think that .
You are right quartz has its place and I have one in my collection, G-Shock 2100 which I love, also have great affinity to the spring drive from GS, amazing quality and technology involved, I also love the finishing of San Martin.
Also started my collection with a Seiko samurai which was my first mechanical watch.so didn't mean to offend just my opinion which is okay 👍all the best Andrew
@Andrew-yy2ye hey Andrew, no offence taken buddy! I probably didn't word my reply very well but what I meant is I like to cover the whole spectrum of this hobby and I try not to be one of those pretentious channels that sneers at anything less than a Rolex 😀
@@Escapement24 that's one of my reason I stopped watching Adrian barker . Tired of Rolex being shoved down my throat, I'm sure they are well made ,as in machine made and well regulated.
Just brilliant at marketing and putting them on celebraties wrists , unfortunately àlot of people who seem to get them aren't collectors and wouldn't be able to tell you anything about the engine in it but would be able to tell you what's it worth and how much they can get.and don't get me started on the Ad's haha😁 thanks for the reply, all the best Andrew 👍
Don't worry, it won't 😂
Nuun looks better then philipe who agrees 🫡
6min long Ad for 3 crap watches made in prc... Aliexpress much?
If I didn't cover watches made wholly or in part in PRC it would narrow the choices down significantly! As you probably know, even many of the big "Swiss Made" brands have cases, dials, handsets and other components made in China.
