Those black Bohrok faceplates are so good. I used to have a giant MOC that used them as pectoral muscles, though I don't have it anymore. I liked the torso construction, but I was never satisfied with the limbs. I do want to revisit the idea, though, and try to make something that uses that design again. The number of hand connectors you get in this set is great, it's just a shame they're the 2008 ones and they'll break very quickly unless you treat them with kid gloves.
In the Hero factory animated series, Von Nebula was once a hero, similar to Core Hunter, who has a deep hatred and resentment for hero team leader, Stormer.
Did anyone else notice Von Nebula's face is the same as Hydraxon's Mask? It's cool that Lego decided to reuse a Bionicle mask here, and from a set that rivaled Von Nebula in its quality.
the "Von Nebula Revamp" by bruh_iOnicles makes excellent use of the negative space with the armor in the arms. i typically don't like seeing the underside of the armor but i was very impressed here. can you do a special on use of negative space or the "ugly" side of parts? or if you already have an episode, might you direct me to it?
As a kid I had Von Nebula, and he was badass ngl. What I have left of him however... Kids be kids you know. Hero Factory came out when I was in my pre-teen years, so give us near the turn of the century kids a break.
"People would roll their eyes if a BIONICLE was named Firelord!" Yeah, like Skull Crusher, Skull Warrior, Skull Slicer, and Skull Basher! At least Skull Grinder had a legitimate name, Kulta! But still, LEGO did poorly with the names in 2015!
Never got into Hero Factory, once they did away with Bionicle I moved on but honestly one of the better sets I've seen, mostly because it contains so many good classic Bionicle parts from all generations. My favorites being the Bohrok head flap, Hydraxon's mask, the Piraka-claws and even the original Toa Mata feet.
6:49 yes... but nope. The pieces at that time were of horrible quality, once lego produced another mold i bought tons of it to change all the crap that were in this set and bionicles from before. For those who wonders, this specific design of this piece was prone to break VERY easily, ( even when you are careful ) and contraty to the oldest pieces that were just cracked at an end and still usable after vreaking, these things were often breaking at some disastrous point so you couldnt use them anymore....
this is probably just something my bug obsessed mind brewed up, but von nebula has the vibes of a stag beetle, just the face claws as a beetles mandibles and the two rounded pads on his back remind me of a beetles elytra/ the hard shell that covers the wings
One of my favorite Von Nebula revamps has to be Masteryker's Von Ness V2. It just looks so sinister and evil. Also I have the von nebula set to thank for the black hydraxon mask that I now use as my self moc's mask.
I have a cool von nebula mock that I could send you pictures of. Made it long time ago and meant to send it in but forgot. Used two con nebulas to make.
Heh, Bionicle does have a character called Fire Lord. Lord of fire actually, but it's pretty much the same thing. The lords of water, jungle, rock, ice and sand also exist.
Nothing compares to the unparalleled Coolness of HF Villains, no matter how comic-book-ridiculous they may be
"No matter how"? That's part of their appeal.
I at the time DID NOT KNOW Bionicle ended.I just thought it was a new theme.
I always loved Von Nebula's design ! It's just perfect in my opinion. His parts are also very cool and can make for very unique creations.
"Crotch armor" There's nothing more endearing than having one's face being made into a codpiece! XD
I actually did that with a Tuma helmet a few times.

The fact this lad had 14 hand connector pieces doesn't mean much when their joints'll break after a few uses, TBF.
Aw man, that's exactly what I needed! I just got Von Nebula for Christmas and I've been struggling to revamp him ever since.
In the Hero factory animated series, Von Nebula was once a hero, similar to Core Hunter, who has a deep hatred and resentment for hero team leader, Stormer.
Oh my god... i completely forgot i had this guy!! What a nostalgia suckerpunch
always good to see another review video!

just discovered your channel! love your content!
Wonderful way to start off Hero Factory February
His lack of elbows was so frustrating

Yeaaa, I disassembled him recently, can't figure out a way in hell to use that torso thing piece though..
I actually loved hero factory as a kid, and leaned into it in bionicle's absence

This was my favourite hero factory set!
I love this colour scheme so much, can't beat white and gold!
Heheheha

8:13 the red snapper reminds me of Mario bro's piranha plant and the chomper plant from plants vs zombies.
8:37 im trying to replicate that Breez, is she using armor size 4 or 5 on her limbs? I can't find size 4 in lime on Bricklink.
Whats the rubber piece around the arms of that breeze revamp? need to get me some of those
Sad that in those days i wasn't able to got him,the HF sets i got was only Meltdown and Corroder, since i liked the motifs of their character designs
can you please make a video about the hero factory witch doctor? It's one of my favourite sets ever!!!
I've actually already done a video on Witch Doctor, enjoy ;)

@@BenCossyOfficial thank you! :)))
What’s funny is I’m just now realizing that two of the Mocs I submitted for this years hf feb both include Von nebula’s shoulder spikes!
Big fan of the series. Can you do a core hunter next for a video for February hero factory

Von Nebula really looked awesome. A great figure. Very menacing.
It was a shame that he got so little to do in the TV Show.
Did you know that Venus flytrap mock is a Venus fly rose trap cause it’s basically a design of a rose but it’s also a Venus flytrap
This is dope
I think the name for Von nebula in the norwegian dub was Von nes
He had such a cool design but these mods really make him look like the dark wizard he is
He voiced by legendary actor Mark Hamil
syoya didnt need to give the dude a sheath.
I miss Hero Factory. Shoutout to Rawjaw
If you’ve got a video for Vapour in the works I’ve got one I think you’ll like. Gonna post it on Reddit in the next few days
Be sure to submit it when it's done my dude!
@@BenCossyOfficial Will do!
I have him but disassembled him :(
Why did that last von nebula moc use hands for feet
It does look off... but my guess is that it provides a look of "proper" toes.
@@JM64 I thought that but it still really looks weird I mean just switch them out with Toa mata or metru feet
@@sachkeeratsambhi1801 I agree it wasn't the best part choice.
In german von means from so i basically means from nebula
Please make a RAKSHI
Me seeing 690 likes on this video: *PERFECTION!!*
