I love how God works His miracles in the smallest things. Remember it was the singing of this beautiful song that lead to the beautiful Miracle of 1914 on the Western Front.
Two years ago we visited Oberndorf. Here, in Argentina, we sing it every year, in German, it's a family tradition. Dankeschön messrs Gruber and Mohr!
My favorite Christmas song I love to hum and sing throughout the year to remember the Holiness and peace we are promised by our Savior.

The Silent Night was written in 1818 by Joseph Mohr and Franz X. Gruber. What can I comment on them? Their words will be sung every Christmas, as long as humanity exists. That’s the most beautiful Christmas gift to this world, from Joseph and Franz. 🙏🏽💖🎁🎄

Could you please, please consider turning off the advertisements. I clicked on this because it was so beautiful, with my little 4 year old boy next to me, and immediately an ad came on for Portal, featuring a fire-breathing dragon head, superimposed on a motherly woman's body. It was completely terrible and now I pray that image will leave my son's head but I have no promises. Cannot undo that. Please consider. the Most Holy Virgin Mary was not experiencing pain at the birth of her first and only born child: Blessed Jesus, the Redeeming Sin of God.
Her experience was ecstasy, not pain.
Painful labor... and the reality of death were & are a result of original sin
Holy Mary was born without sin...
and committed no sin - so she was not only spared the pains of childbirth,
she had a miraculous birth in that
the Son of God was born without compromising her Perpetual Virginity.
This has always been true of the birth of Christ+
