Old saying: never lie to your accountant, doctor, or lawyer.

It's always quite risky to bluff to your doctors! I'd never lie to make sure that they don't make my health worse somehow 😅. Can't wait to watch!

So sad that the old guy was endangering his health to have human contact

About the colonoscopy patient who ate corn, my uncle ate corn 3 days before, and it still showed up on the day of the test. Some people take longer to digest and process their food. I know I do. So if it were me I be careful of what I ate for a week before. But yeah crazy how so many people ignore Dr. instructions. They write them out for a reason. Lying to a Dr. is never good, because how can they help you?

They give you a list of what you can eat, and it's like no corn, no fiber, no herbs etc for 14 days before.

@@ricebeansrockroll882 We don't get that here. They only say 48 hours, but yeah that makes more sense. Because corn is very hard to digest. My mom watches what she eats about a month before. I'll do the same thing when it's time for me to go. But I have to do a digital one because I'm allergic to the tube and things they use during a regular one. Luckily my gastro dr is willing to do whatever I need.

That is because we can't actually digest the corn top but only the inside parts. Have you ever noticed that you poop out whole corn kernels? yeah the more you know.

The title reminds me of people who lie just to get glasses and “look cool”… as a person with glasses, I can confirm it’s very much not cool

Patient arrived 25 minutes late for their appointment and complained that they wouldn’t be seen per our late policy. They said that at their last appointment, they arrived 20 minutes early and they were seen. They asked what the difference was this time. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Never understood why people pretend to be younger than they really are. Pretend to be ten years older instead and then everyone will be raving over how young you look!

As someone who works in the medical field, all information is important when you go to the doctor, from the food you eat, the places you go to, the people you sleep with, your sexual habits, everything , it might be embarrassing bug it'll help the doctor in treating you and identifying the problem faster

OMG I remember reading this question with my friend while we were in hospital. I'm laughing at these thinking that these comments for the question are going to be me when I graduate as a nurse.

Patient had a car accident after almost going into a diabetic coma (pt was ok). Pt has a long history of uncontrolled diabetes. Pt’s daughter blames the doctor I work with, though there are years worth of documentation trying to help patient get diabetes under control, and patient has a long history of being non-compliant and flat out denying suggestions made to help health and quality of life.

    2) a bit of autistic spectrum
    3) have PTSD from different traumas
    4) have been operated on and treated with(Dunno the English expression here)but it can happen if U eat too much salt...
5)IBS(very painful at times and hard trying to avoid certain products etc)
    6)Gout
7)Fibromylagia(chronic pain without remedy, yes diet and exercising helps, but it will only get U so far)
8)Really bad migraine attacks(my doc thinks it’s Horton’s aka suicide headache)
9)Bad sciatica in both buttocks, legs all the way to the ankles)
10)Morbid obesity, been a compulsive eater since my teens.
    11)Recurrent kidney stones
    12)Operated gall bladder
13)Bad balance, have fallen over several times and must now use walker or electric wheelchair everywhere...
And ohhhh, did I mention that I turn 48 this year and am a single mom of 4...

Pt complained that they could not get squeezed in for a same-day appointment. Pt went to the ER for severe pain, had emergency surgery to remove gallbladder. Pt notified the office and during the return phone call, they reiterated that they could not be seen when they wanted to. Though inconvenient, I told them it was probably best since they had emergency surgery. They reluctantly agreed. 🥴

Pt complained of severe pain and requested pain meds. Pt confirmed they do not have any prescribed pain meds. Checked the online report and found an extensive history of Percocet and tramadol refills even within the last couple weeks. Printed report and reviewed with patient during the appointment. Patient left the office like a puppy with their tail between their legs.

Just so people know, many of the people who are lonely when they are older, are that way because they were abusive when they were younger. I was told this by the head of the nursing staff of a nursing home.

How are you doing sweetie? How are you feeling? In the very first story, cigarettes are just so very yucky, nasty, and completely disgusting, but they're still sold in stores though. In the second story, she was just really h*rny. In the third story, actually you can't eat anything before a colonoscopy is done. In the fourth story, I don't know why people smoke at all? Can you please tell me? I love my lungs!! In the fifth story, he better thank his lucky stars that nothing severe happened to him. I love you my friend!! Have a great weekend!! Stay safe!!
