- California State Universities (CSUs) are certainly not the most top-ranked universities in the USA. Hence, a lot of times, we disregard these universities from our shortlists. Another CSU Chico Grad here! Great to see other wildcats! But yes if you want to keep costs down even more go to a community College for the first two years. It's honeslty the same but half the cost. I've got my undergrad for about 12k

Very informative video. One more question that could have been included is how the top CSU's compare to the lower ranked UC's like UC Riverside and UC Santa Cruz in terms of education and job opportunities.
UC Santa Cruz is one of best but pretty expensive, UC riverside debatable
SJSU is underdog of universities.

CSU graduates end up working shoulder-to-shoulder with UC and private school graduates. The only reason CSU schools are not ranked high is because they do not do research like the UC system and their acceptance rate is higher.
Do they make good money as well?
@@sparkieee621 At the start not always. But once you have a few years of experience you earn similar wages. Depends more on your major than the school at that point.

I was a topper till high school but family problems uk....I was literally in anxiety from a couple of days that ill be a complete failure even if i move to the US ... So yeah .... appreciate it !!

- 2 Career Fares: Not the same as campus placements, N/w with HR's/Companies
- Information Sessions
Positives in San Jose:
- In the heart of Silicon Valley, so you are surrounded by companies. Very easy to get internships/full time opportunities
Cons in Chico:
- Smaller town. So there are not many IT Companies that are hiring.
- Less Internship opportunities in town. So, you have to move out of town for internship & figure out your living & all
- CSU's are not in Top 50/100

I'm confident I will get into most UCs (including UCLA and Cal), However, the UC system doesn't satisfy the necessary steps towards my career goals. With that being said I will most likely attend Cal state long beach. GO BEACH!!! 🖤💛
What were your stats?
Accepted to UCLA and UCR. Could not afford UC tuition and got full ride at CSUN. Employers look at CSU graduates as more approachable by recruiters.

Yash, mostly I see info about engineering stuff. DO you think its feasible for you to go a lil towards life science, biotech, biomedical eng, regulatory affairs side? that would be great.
Cal Polys have the greatest prestige of the CSU system as well as engineering network if you are going to do something with STEM. As for everything else, there are 21 other campuses to consider on a department basis.

@@amaanshaikh6868 yes San Jose State University, it's in the heart of silicon valley bay area. And second thing is it's industry related curriculum, they are one of the best.
CSUs delivered their duty of teaching for the industry needs. Research is not their main objective like UCs.

I am taking GRE a little late and most of the deadlines for Other CSUs are closed by then. Only couple of colleges have it till Jan 15th. Any advice here ?

Depends on which csu you graduate from . Look at Cal Poly csu SLO. The SAT and ACT to get admittance is higher than to UC David

If you are american, there are lots of job opportunities in sacramento, if you are indian, you should go to a school where there are jobs for Indians
