As an ISU fan, this was probably the best Cy-Hawk game I've ever seen. Both teams played to their potential, and it showed. You guys won a hard fought game but I dont think we should have hung our heads either, and we obviously didn't based on how the rest of the season went. Good luck on your bowl game today!
A game for the history books. This is one of those important wins that teaches both grit and perseverance for a young and green team. Stanley, Butler, Easley, Smith-Marsette, Hockenson, Fant; this could be an offense to be reckoned with in a year or two. Go Hawks!
Butler is a senior this year. Otherwise, totally agree. OL was fantastic in pass protection. Sucks that Boettger is probably done for the year, but we have depth there.

That's what makes this such a great rivalry. Iowa state is making a Resurgence and will be a force to reckon with. My heart is black and gold but I root for all Iowa football. It doesn't matter if one is ranked in the other is not as they series goes it is usually a very competitive game which says a lot for Iowa State considering how much more funding and Facilities that Iowa has. Iowa State should be very proud.
One of the 2 games I’ve been to at Jack Trice. First was the 3OT loss in 2011, then this OT win that made up for it. We made our way toward the gates pretty quietly after this one trying not to draw attention to ourselves:-)
I love how that Iowa State fan at 12:29 is standing there looking all sexy, posing like a supermodel to try to cheer up her husband and distract him from the loss. She's a good wife to focus on getting his mind off the loss by drawing attention to her and how good she looks. She's a real keeper. One of those moments that shows the human side of fandom rivalries.

Good thing is that Boettger may be able to redshirt. That would be great if he is able to give us another year.
Wadley will be gone too along with a few of our good experienced linebackers. But yeah I like what I see with the offense.

Also, Butler had a critical drop in OT on 3rd down like Keenan Davis did for Iowa in 2011 that forced a field goal.
