Yes! That's the only thing I can think of tbh. Other than that my parents did a pretty good job. I seriously didn't have any problems with them till my 20s, and that's just adult stuff. lol
"A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who've forgotten how to listen." When I read that quote in a Harry Potter book, it really resonated. Everybody is different. Great advice! (Also, your baby is absolutely precious) :)
The thing I've most noticed about taureans(being one myself) is that they need to feel valued for their efforts as a person, they especially need to be told their emotions are worth being nurtured otherwise they could become so consumed with trying to find value in any sort of they will become fixated on any aspects that provide them with a sense of security. Eg, money, love, sex, relationships, greed. ETC.
I’m a Taurus too and I completely agree. Due to being made fun of me several times when I would cry when she yelled at me when I was younger and now I have a bad habit of concealing everything due to me not thinking my emotions were valued
@flavorsoflight geez lol that’s a bit extreme, don’t you think? The whole world is against your existence.. that’s so subjective wow. Have a more objective view for your own sake
I'm a Scorpio and yes it's true I needed honesty! When my parents divorced they sugar coated things and my mom made me lie to my dad all the time. I catch myself sometimes lying like my mother and I hated myself for yhat
my sister and I have scorpio planets and signs in the 8th. my mom lied about stuff or just wouldn't talk about stuff.she was nonconfrontational with emotional subjects. it was annoying.
So I've noticed that children are born in families which challenge them to the extremes! I know a Libra boy whos parents broke up, I know a Leo boy who is the one to be last noticed... My own daughter is Virgo and I'm actually the most messy person out there! Perhaps it's the way you grind the diamonds, the way they recognize their soul. Do you rather apply this to the Sun or the Moon sign? I've noticed my Virgo daughter doesn't really crave structure and order, she rather fights for her independence and her Moon is in Aries...
As a Gemini with an Aries moon, I always wanted friendships and a social life! I was also very impulsive and impatient. My mom homeschooled my sisters and I and for the first 13 years of my life it was spent with just my sisters. My family (mostly water signs) didn't understand why I wanted to go to public school and be in sports so badly, and when I finally did I ended up getting into a lot of trouble and putting all of those people over my family because I never had the chance to learn how to balance friends and family early on.
The Virgo one didn't even skim the surface. What do we need as a child? We need support. When we're sad or angry, we're not going to reach out to anyone. And if nobody comes, we'll go through it ourselves. You'll almost never see a Virgo cry. We are very good at hiding our emotions.
Thank you for opening my eyes. As a Capricorn mom, I’m strict and sometimes can be too dominant and worrisome towards my Aries, I will back off a bit now and give him more independence, I don’t want my son to always feel insecure because I see that in him.
As an Aquarius Sun and Aries rising child I hated being restricted on everything and micromanaged( my parents are very religious and because of religion I was not allowed to do a lot of things)... my mother basically smothered me and it drove me insane.... my mother always treated me as though I was dumb and didn't know what I was talking about...she felt the need to tell me what to do and restrict everything...she wanted everything her way ....she is still like that and my relationship with her is very strained and I'm very distant with her. I avoid her all the time and if I see her, I just just say hi and keep it moving....my father on the other hand I get along with and I'm comfortable talking and sharing with him, he would try to give me advice and not judge me...Mom is a Sagittarius and Dad is a Pisces.
I am also Aquarius sun and Aries rising and I also always felt smothered by the religion and restrictions as my family is very religious and restrictive compared to most others. It always kept me angry, moody and in my mind about how and why my family is so religious and restrictive and I am not allowed to be who I want to be and wear what I want to, be open and do things my way, this and that while others are free and It constantly stings and burns. I still feel that way.
I’m an Aquarius ♒️ moon and was brought up in a very strict and religious house hold. My mom smothered me as well and wouldn’t allow me to do shit. Now I’m a grown woman and I can’t stand to be around her longer than a half hour. She erks my soul to the core but I’m an only child so I’m all she got 😔
If i was to have a child one day, I would take into count not only their sun sign but their moon sign as well. Moon signs are under looked but thats why im glad Alyssa has incorporated them into her videos.
+Alyssa Sharpe Coolio :) Thank You for telling me Alyssa. I'll check them out definitely. Oh and do you mention at all what your moon sign is in any of your vids. I'd like to know :)
+Alyssa Sharpe ooooh that means you are very sociable and stable :D you know how to get stuff done!!! i love taurians cause they are my polar opposites.
when i was younger i could always tell someone never liked me by the way they spoke. even with a smile i could tell they felt hatred. I'm a pisces by the way. its strange that we could know a lot about people with just a simple small conversation. and its also incredible how our views of a conversation changes when were much older since we know more about the world before we lose our child innocence.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. Especially with pisces. As a kid I loved art and it was all good until I got into school and art wasn't valued because it isn't an academic and everything's about math and science etc. But more so with the emotions part. There was so much fighting and anger growing up in my household and it affected me, in particular parents who were extremely critical and berated me often. They weren't nurturing and when I was hurt, they said I was weak amongst other things. I think this just goes for every child in general. Have parents who nurture and allow their children to express their emotions to build trust and safety.
Wolfferoni Hi fellow piscean friend. I’m sorry that happened to you. I know many Pisces who had tough childhoods (myself included) and this seems to jumpstart our need for a fantasy world and makes us even more sensitive to other people’s emotions. Keep loving with your whole heart, and it will inspire many to be loving as well. (:
Pisces we need time to be left alone in our own little strange imaginative worlds and not be disrupted or told that it's silly. Our artistic interests need to be encouraged and respected, not told that it won't ever get us anywhere in life or is a waste of time. Also, parents should definitely try to keep their fights away from Pisces kids. Well, all kids in general actually, but Pisces especially will absorb the tension and pain in the room and take it all to heart. We may even come to the conclusion that the fight is somehow our faults even if it had nothing to do with us. 💜
I'm a Scorpio and I just wish my parents can leave me the fucking alone. I am the oldest child they call me a baby and child but that is not true when I'm away from my parents and I am in my zone I observe the world people say I'm like a child/innocent but I keep quiet and I just watch what people are doing .I'm actually really smart but I do not let people see this I prefer people leave me alone I hate it so much when my parents never listen to me because I prefer rules in the house sometimes they argue but I just leave them alone i'm just an actor if they say I'm a kid I act more as a kid so they can leave me alone.
As a sag I loved my early childhood and I learned so much about people and the world . But having a Taurus moon when my family moved I was initially excited for the prospect of something new, yet I eventually grew depressed and missed my old life. So for me most things tend to be a toss up. Its so confusing!
I'm an aries and I had to fight for my independence, everyone in my surroundings was kidna like so you think you can be independent...silly little child and they tryied to took my power away so I grow up very unconfident but still I was a rabel and wanted to own myslef I did'd gave up,Still struggeling a little but defenetly on the right path! Thank you Alyssa!
Taurus here and was moved around every year of my childhood..after I moved out on my own I stayed in the same apartment for a decade..Not a big fan of change. My daughter is a Gemini and its challenging at times because I'm very introverted and my daughter is a total extrovert...hard to find the balance..still a work in progress. Great video.
+Erin Flemington Me too ! I can totally relate to this.. Im a Taurus, my daughter is a Gemini and as a kid my mom moved us around a lot too different school and homes every year, its been my main goal since my child was born to give her a stable kind of life where she can plant roots and feel secure
Lol the sleepovers indeed will drive me up the wall but her rising is Aries with Uranus on the ascendant and Moon in Taurus so at least the Taurus tones down all the Aries/Gem energy. I'm a Taurus with Pluto and Saturn on the ascendant so that's a hell of a blend together with all her Uranian Gem energy:)
Taurus with a cancer moon. I moved about 12 times as a kid, my parents separated then divorced then both found different partners whom demanded different lifestyles from the ones I grew up with. Now I have a huge fear of not being in control and a warped perception on family..
Did u ever overcome it? My son (5 yrs old) is an Aquarius an he's definitely unique. I want to know what a Aquarius needs while growing up. If there's anything i can do to help him embrace his weirdness? Instead of hide it?
Haha my sisters leo baby LOVES eye contact. One day i was thinking about he was a leo and he was acting up (1yr old) and toddling around, i started making eye contact with him and not looking away and he LOVED IT he started blushing and laughing and sooo cute! Leo babies love it ❤️ they want to feel watched and loved and attended to
As a Virgo I like to have an organized schedule. When to eat, when to excersice, when to sleep was thought well by both parents. So, I agree with your description. Thank you
Wow, you really hit the nail on the head! I'm a libra and you are totally right. I grew up in a domestically abusive house where it was hard to feel the love. and I spent so much time faking and walking on eggshells to get through that time in my life. Things are so much better now, but only consistent therapy could really start to heal those wounds of : I'm not loved, love will never come for me, and I'll be stuck with a fake mask over my face for the rest of my life.Thank you for making this video!
Cancer sun here. I have to get this off my chest. My parents have a bad relationship. It's too obvious, and I can't communicate with my father. 5 years ago my mother told me they were getting a divorce. Of course I was unhappy, but I knew it would be for the best. Now, they're still living together and still as miserable as then. Just a week ago, my mother told me "jokingly" - after I asked if they'd stay in the same house till they've retired - maybe, unless one of them dies or they get divorced. I'm moving summer 2016 far away, still in the same country, but I really think that's for the best (Sagittarius in my 4th house).
This resonates a lot with me too. My family had a lot of "cracks" in their supposed sanctuary of perfection. On the outside we looked a lot like a family with some kind of status, but on the inside everything was messed up. A lot of external factors, aka my half sisters (only by blood) from my fathers side contributed for the destruction of my family from the inside. It was a gradual work, and as time passed by everything was falling apart even though they are still staying together. I am also a cancer with virgo ascendent, so I have sag in my 4th house and there was always this constant feeling of wanting to get away from that environment, I always felt that something was lacking in my life and that my parents did not have concerns about my feelings, being more preocupied with my studies. I can tell you that time will heal and make you look at things more racionally, so dont give up on your dreams! At this moment my dream is to have my own famility with lots of warmth and love.
I'm a cancer sun and taurus moon...my family moved three times in my life. The first 2 times I can't remember, the 3rd time hit me haaard. you're so right about cancers needing tradition. I need tradition and stability.
my little sister is a virgo and when you said that i was laughing so hard because it’s so true! her room is like a pinterest room and she’s 10, everything has a place EVERYTHING!! and she loves it and she gets seriously upset when anything is moved without asking and it’s so precious!
very true taurus description! i rarely move, but the one time i did transfer schools, it was very depressing for me to deal with. btw taurus parents, you might not want to take away things from your child. we are very possessive over snacks and toys growing up. xD
Thanks for the tip! I have a Taurus baby girl (6 month). And trying to understand her needs as she gets older... If you have any more tips im all ears lbs ❤
everything (for me) about the cancer's was spot on, but what I feel u missed is they need to know that they are loved by whom is around them. if we don't know that we are loved by the ones that we love weather it's family or extremely close friends that we consider family, we start to think that no one loves us... so what I guess I'm trying to say is we need to be reminded that we are loved a lot.... (I am a cancer and it might be just me that feels this way but I thought it should be said)
Cancer Sun, Mercury and Mars here, with Virgo Moon rising --I agree wholeheartedly. Cancer kids are extremly emotional and they learn early on that the society doesn't want to see their emotions displayed. I believe a Cancer kid needs a very secure and loving closest surroundings, otherwise they're going to feel like they're always the weirdos and will eventually be rejected when they don't manage to hold back the feelings --and there will come a time when they won't be able to control themselves. My Aquarius father was never around and my parents divorced when I was ten. My Libra mum was always making me feel I needed to earn her love and she would often tell me I needed to feel less than I did. I'm turning 31 this week and I still have a hard time admitting it's possible that people love me and find me attractive and won't just play around with my feelings and abandon me in the end.
Love this. so spot on. I would just add: Aries - don't make them feel like they have to compete for your affection/love as a child. love their unsure and quiet, too. & Taurus -let them express negative emotions, actually ask them how they feel and make them feel like it's ok to open up Cancer - have your shit together emotion wise. so we don't have to feel like we have to take care of you emotionally (because we will) but also don't be emotionally unavaible because that will hurt us
I grew up a misunderstood Aquarius sun, but I’m still standing proudly in my all my creative weirdness. Always be proud of who you are!! You don’t know me, but I’m so proud of your progress. I’m so proud of all those silent battles you’re STILL overcoming!! You are beautiful inside and out!! Always remember that!
Even though I'm a Virgo Sun I feel my Sun in my 12th affects me more in terms of healing my inner child -- as does my 5th House Aquarius Moon 🌙😌. I think my mom must've looked into astrology when raising me and just tried to organize my life the way a Virgo should appreciate but honestly it only made me feel more controlled, possessed and angry deep inside thanks to that rebellious Aquarian 😜
As a sag growing up I always felt that more than anything else I needed my emotions validated and to be affirmed and encouraged. It was so difficult growing up without those things 😞
I think this fits really well with the moon sign. My sun sign is Cancer and I was relieved when my parents split up because it was an end to their fighting. However, with my Pisces moon, that part about recovering from hurt spoke to me. My mother never did have another serious relationship after my father (he married someone and had other relationships after my mom). It is like she never recovered from what she went through. 🙁
I agree with your husband when it comes to scorpions needing structure, but I also agree with you about us needing honesty as well because keeping promises was a big thing for me and still is to this day
I'm a Pisces and this is so true! I'm pregnant with my little boy who's gonna be either a Scorpio or Sagittarius. I'm due November 18th so he could come anytime before or after then. I'm definitely coming back to reference this video when he's here! 💙
Being an Aquarius I resonated with that but also being a Lunar Leo and a Pisces rising I resonated with the Leo and Pisces explanations you gave. So in ny opinion I think these are all spot on but they can also connect to more than just your star sign in your chart.
Yes!! and a Sag needs a bike, a desk, their own writing desk and book shelf and globe. My daughter is a Gem and she seems to need all the space in the closet, constant flow of fashion, music, stories and activities. We do challenges to extend focus and endurance, and a lot of times I feel more like her personal assistant/agent than parent-- being there for specific heart to hearts, but mostly getting her to activities and helping coordinate her calendar and schedule and accessories... as a child, I used my closet as a place to escape putting music and lights and books in there, she on the other hand, has her full of every kind of shoe and outfit for her ever changing moods.
i have a good friend who's Gemini and I've noticed that Gemini talk alot but don't do much and make up lies they can be very sweet but they have 2 faces it's that Gemini often if they get spoiled at young age expect to get it and not having to do much they can get too materialistic
that might be true for all signs: I think that's why they called it spoiled. Poor parenting can spoil a child's happiness as an adult by imparting foul values and neglecting a clear understanding of the governing principles of life, of the human condition, and our potentiality as Spirit. But all is not lost. I think we can re-create our lives as adults, especially our childhood, refocusing on what really brings happiness and love.
I'm a Capricorn with Pluto in my 4th house, and did have a pretty rough childhood at the start, but my mom more than made up for everything that happened. She was always there for me and lifting me up, telling me that I was awesome and "deep," (She's a Gemini lol). I also have a Leo rising and my parents were always entertained by me when I was little. I have always felt really lucky despite some of my bad experiences and I think I have a stronger bond with my mom today than I've ever had. Love your videos!
I'm a Gemini and I'm a total loner and I hate big groups of people and I'm more of the artsy loner type but my moon sign is a Pisces which probably has something to do with it
Great video! One more thing I would like to suggest is that (as a Taurean I would like to say) Taureans also need to be allowed their space, not to be forced to conform to everything, but keep the space they need for themselves all to themselves. If this is not granted, there might be a problem with self indentity and self care.
I'm a Cancer Sun, Venus & Mercury, my parents divorced when I was 6. My aquarius moon didn't allow my cancer soul to feel at all, so I laughed and I lived with it. What saddens me to the core today reflecting back on my childhood is that I felt extremely misunderstood. What I needed was to be truly seen, for my big sensitive heart. My family never understood how hurt I was, for just the smallest of things. My mom still talks about how I refused to talk to her about anything. And it's true I never did, because she didn't SEE me. She's a pisces cutie but she never really saw me for who I was so I always felt misunderstood. They thought I was mad and upset a lot of times, but really I was just deeply deeply hurt. And it hurt more that nobody saw that. So instead of showing my heart I climbed into my shell to protect myself from the ones that never saw me. They didn't make me feel stable and safe enough to open up. So I never did, and still as an adult I keep my pisces mom at distance. I love her but it hurts that she's blind to what's beneath my surface. And until she makes me feel worthy enough, I'll probably never fully let her in.
I believe this should apply to sun and moon signs. since moon is emotions. I got teary eyed on this vid. it's done with love. great vid!! I want to add with Virgo and Pisces let them do volunteer work. it'll keep em from going into bad relationships trying to fix people. they love being of service. and taurus get depressed in ugly ,negative surroundings. they love nature or clean happy environments.
I'm 15 years old and a Libra, considering I am still a child, this describes me spot on. Thank you so much for helping me have an understanding on other people and educating me on this!
As a Leo myself I agree with the "Light & Respect" that you mentioned. But I also believe that Leo children need to know that they matter to their parents/ family/ classmates etc. A lot of Leo kids get picked on because they are so full of life that others either don't get it or are jealous and they get picked on or told they are wrong. Also I know one particular young 13 year old Leo who's mother neglects her (in 13 years has only had 1 birthday party) while her younger half sister gets stuff all the time. You can tell this girl is headed for trouble already and she's at a very crucial age. A Leo kid is a mix of Gemini, Cancer & Libra lol. They like a small social group, they need love & family. Beautiful video!!!!
I'm a Scorpio and that's extremely accurate! My parents have recently broken up but will not tell me a lot about why. So any chance I get I will read through text messages, put my ear against the door to hear their fights, listen to calls, etc. And I won't stop until I have every last detail. And yes, because of this lack of honesty (not only because of them breaking up) I do catch myself lying a bit.
I'll say the Pisces one is true for my sister I got so sick of her being needy for every little slight in her life....I'm a Leo Rising Aries Moon so I was always like STOP IT with the poor me syndrome. I was always like you gotta do it if you want it and don't be mad at anyone else if you don't make decisions. The Leo/Aries in me is strong...we don't need anyone to make us happy as long as you know we're the shit and stay out of our way so we can do us!
I'm a capricorn with a strong cancer moon and I definitely grew up way too fast and had a tough childhood. My parents nearly divorced and I saw my mum cheating on my dad a lot and she was really emotional, and from such a young age, i put it on myself to be the parent and to look after her. This video is great, thank you
I am a Leo sun and I cried when you talked about us. I can't say I've had a childhood. My parents aren't divorced but I know they're in a loveless marriage. I consider my friends my true and only family; I can't ever let go of them. Alyssa, I want to thank you for your videos because they help me understand myself so much deeper. Lots of love! x
You Should Keep Making Video's Like This And Keeping Us Your Fans Informed On Bigger News And Topic's And Discussion's And Etc Please Never Lose Hope And Never Give Up And What's Truthful And Honesty And Whats Rights And Wrong And All Of Above !
I totally agree with you luv and like your video. I also feel that it goes way beyond the sun sign generalities. I feel that what a child needs to emotionally grow should be watched by their Moon sign as well as their 4th house and maybe even looking at what house placement Taurus falls in their chart.
Listening to this it makes sense that my moon Aquarius in the first house is stronger than my Sun Virgo or Rising Capricorn. I don't relate at all my childhood needs with Virgo or Capricorn but Aquarius fits 100%.
My oldest is very laid back. My youngest can be more of a handful. I've noticed that letting him have time to get his energy out helps with his behavior and with bedtime So playing outside or games that work his brain. Also, I have learned that alot of times, his anger is caused by him not being able to properly communicate how he is feeling or thinking. So i try to keep my patience better during tantrums. They don't last as long now and are less frequent Hope that helps! Good luck!
I have twin Aquarius boys so rebellious ..But I think their moon sign affects more so of them the moon changed from Aries to taurus the 3 min between births and I have a I'm always right ..always first..temper tantrum throwing but kind hearted loves everyone aquarian ..then a girl crazy lovey dovey peacemaker.. but doesn't listen.. says his brain tells him to do anything he gets in trouble for :) guitar playing mismatching in his own story true Aquarius ...And the best thing I have learned is talk over everything with them ..listen to them ...and the more I let them show me and give attention to what they are doing the better life is for everyone lol
Alyssa, I am a capricorn sun sign and I have never felt truly loved or accepted for who I am by my parents. I've tried to fill the void by finding love from friends and I get along better with them. As a result, I have come to not even value family and traditions at all, at least for my immediate family, because I'm not gonna try and embrace something or someone that always shuns me at the end of the day. I have found my own values and learned to feel on my own, because my own parents failed to do so.
I guess one of the things about the capricorn sign is that we know how to figure something out whether or not it's a good or bad example. (I might be talking out of my ass) At least for me it did. I never felt very.. accepted and loved by my mother. The pain of verbally abusing me that I'm fat and failing the skill of fitness caused me to never really love her because I never felt like I'll go far. and it caused an eating disorder. She's dead now, but what I know is that her parents didn't treat her the right way (a leo sign) but it still doesn't matter. She did what she did. and I can't forget that. I learned to just eat. It doesn't matter what weight I am. Ever since the death I wasn't told i'm failing. It improved very much. Yes, I may be 40 BMI, but, I don't feel as unhappy about it anymore.
i relate to the aries one.. maybe cuz of my aries moon?? my sisters a taurus and we were moved around a lot. it makes sense that shes very controlly now.
I never comment but I've followed you for years Alyssa! This really hits home because I moved all the time growing up as a Taurus. I've always known how it's affected me but this somewhat validated that. Now at age 22, I have to try to force myself into change. It's not really working out but I'm totally trying lol. Thank you for all that you do!
Aries kids need a challenge; something to conquer physically. They also need room to move, be rambunctious and run. Taurus kids needs touch, cuddles, rubs, and cozy beds. They also need a parent with patience, someone who doesn't rush or push. Gemini kids need to be talked to! They need answers to their questions; stimulation: puzzles, books, the Internet. Cancer kids need a place of their own to get away when needed. They also need a parent that is okay with their changing moods and emotions. Also, something to take care of: a pet. Leo kids need applause. They need appreciation and acknowledgement. Virgo kids need to use their hands... crafts, projects. Libra kids needs peaceful environments. They parents that model manners, courtesy, empathy, and charm. Also, beauty in all forms. Scorpio kids need to be able dig and hunt. Physically and mentally.
Thank you Alyssa. Spot on! Your daughter is so precious, btw :). I had to thank my 'lucky stars' to have 2 children who share my rising sign 'Leo'. I understand they're need for attention and things 'bigger than life' at times. :D
yah, totally agree with you, i'm a Leo with pieces moon&rising , it's very very hard growing up without my dad attention :( i did every thing being a good kid with excellent grad in school and nice behaviour , but still not enough for hem to look at me and say nice work baby girl, now as a 26 years old i'm very very very hard on my self because in my mind ( i'm not god enough ) i've been bulling as chubby kid but i recovered by my self and let it go, but me and my dad situation : No . not yet . still hurts sadly
Wow, this hits the mark!!! I'm a libra scorpio cusp with a controlling Leo mother and tough love cancer father, the latter has been married/divorced 5 times and have had one failed marriage(due to partners infidelity) to which I'm in therapy convinced I'll never wish to marry again. Glad to hear what I can do for my son who's an aquarius.
My mom is a Leo dad a cancer I'm a Scorpio asc. Cap sun but they got divorced bc of the same thing and I have trust issues and single mom to Aquarius boys... I feel you girl ..
I'm a Leo Sun and at the beginning I had all the attention I could've asked for. Until I was about 4 years old, I was living with my mum in the other side of the freaking country, because my mum's job demanded she change areas of work every few years and my dad had to stay in his hometown to work, but was too busy to be able to take good care of me on his own. I was ecstatic when we moved back in with him, but then my younger brother was born, I got minimal to no attention, and that pretty much led to me not really resonating much with my Sun sign and my Cancer True Black Moon Lilith and Saturn in Leo both in the Fifth House abandonment issues.
I am a Cancer Sun and so is my daughter. We are definitely big on family and home and both homebodies. Honestly, I don't know how I would've reacted if my parents said Santa wasn't real. As for now, my daughter believe it to be true. lol
I grew up in different households- between my stable Virgo grandmother and my recovering Capricorn mother. My father's side of the family was estranged for me- 2/3rds of my siblings are half-siblings- so my perspective in relationships was pretty unromantic. Even my grandmother lived a pretty solitary life! I guess as a libra that shaped my views on love and relationships- it kinda forced me to believe in my own independence and jaded the fairytale for me. "True Love" for me is in fiction, and I'm a sap for it, but even with my Venus, Mars, Sun, and Taurus Moon in the Seventh house ( ALL THE VENUS!) it's hard for me to not roll my eyes are love-struck couples! I never get understood all the Venus in my natal chart- I just couldn't relate to that type of power in my chart. Also, curious, how would you apply this video to other signs in your personal chart? Would it be wise, as we speak of children, to relate these lessons to our correlating Moon or Rising sign? Thanks Alyssa!
I'm a Virgo with ascendant in Sagittarius my mother is Cancer with ascendant in Gemini we don't get along at all she always talked too much was overprotective while i was already very mature at young age while my mother still thought she was 18 i had no stability or structure only from my stepfather who's a Leo with ascendant Capricorn he could be very harsh at times and a bit structure is good but i needed freedom to develop myself but besides that I'm always in for change i go with the flow i can be very critical at the same time i can also not care at all what i needed was education as a kid i was very eager to learn but my mom didn't know much and my stepfather was impatient that made me had to do almost everything alone
you were so correct at the cancer point when you said no one breaks a cancers heart more then a taurus and i know that because i am a cancer and my brother is a taurus and we hate each other so much!!!!!
I'm a virgo with Pisces moon and I was always the most chill kid. I was definitely a dreamer and loved art. The virgo thing just doesn't resonate much.
I'm a Saggitarus mom raising a Scorpio kid it's been a rollercoaster, (My moon is in Aries hers is in Taurus) she's stubborn and lazy my Aries moon makes me very energetic and pushy I guess that's why we don't speak the same language but I'm learning more how to relate better with her
as a libra child I hated it when my parents argued soo often. or too much commotion in the family. we need peace as well.
Yes! That's the only thing I can think of tbh. Other than that my parents did a pretty good job. I seriously didn't have any problems with them till my 20s, and that's just adult stuff. lol
MY SON IS 1 AND HES A LIBRA AND I CAN ALREADY TELL HOW WHEN WE FIGHT HOW MUCH IT EFFECTS HIM
Yes it makes us extremely uncomfortable
YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSS
I'm a Libra sun. My parents fought a lot and I used to pray that they would get divorced.
The baby sleeping on her chest throughout the video is honestly so cute.
Ikr. I can see her chubby cheeks. 🥰 She's a little dumpling!
Virgos also need praise and acceptance so they aren't so critical of themselves and others.
"A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who've forgotten how to listen." When I read that quote in a Harry Potter book, it really resonated. Everybody is different. Great advice! (Also, your baby is absolutely precious) :)
OMG YES HARRY POTTER
The thing I've most noticed about taureans(being one myself) is that they need to feel valued for their efforts as a person, they especially need to be told their emotions are worth being nurtured otherwise they could become so consumed with trying to find value in any sort of they will become fixated on any aspects that provide them with a sense of security. Eg, money, love, sex, relationships, greed. ETC.
I’m a Taurus too and I completely agree. Due to being made fun of me several times when I would cry when she yelled at me when I was younger and now I have a bad habit of concealing everything due to me not thinking my emotions were valued
It breaks my heart knowing my friends signs & knowing what they didn't get that they needed.
geminis also need to know that its okay for them to feel emotions otherwise theyre gonna learn to detach themselves whenever they feel something
+Ellie Brown v true
So true 🙋🏽♀️
+Alyssa Sharpe this may be my 12th moon saying but I love how u took the time 2 write this
I really like this comment.
We are very good at hiding our emotions.
no... you need to "go to the container store," LOL
Virgo sun, Aries moon with a Sag mother. I am 47 years old and she is still trying to run my life.
+Alyssa Sharpe I have a taurus moon, and my mom has a taurus ascending! and my brother has a taurus moon also!
I said the same thing!👍

Your baby just melted my heart 😍😍 I love how sweet you are as a mother now 😊😙 wish you a great life all family together
Capricorn is so true, I felt it to my core. And you look adorable cuddling with your baby :)
when i was younger i could always tell someone never liked me by the way they spoke. even with a smile i could tell they felt hatred.
Nothing sadder than an Aries with low self esteem.
what if the insecure aries was your mom?
No a libra with no self esteem is much worse.
agree
or a Leo!😐
yep.
I'm a Pisces moon and that's very much true of me.
yes so on point 👏🏻
I feel the exact same.
+Erin Flemington Im taurus and was constantly moved school/home. Made me want stability the most.
let her have her social gatherings and lots of friends. the sleepovers will drive ya crazy but it'll make her happy. find out her moon sign
It's true.... I'm an aquarius and I feel like I can't be myself around anyone because my uniqueness/weirdness was put down so much.
Hello, as a Virgo I love when rooms and everything was clean. I love to write as well. Virgo Sun, Libra rising
Love this. so spot on. I would just add:
Aries - don't make them feel like they have to compete for your affection/love as a child. love their unsure and quiet, too.
& Taurus -let them express negative emotions, actually ask them how they feel and make them feel like it's ok to open up
Cancer - have your shit together emotion wise. so we don't have to feel like we have to take care of you emotionally (because we will) but also don't be emotionally unavaible because that will hurt us
Libra sun , moon in Gemini , Capricorn rising. Mercury Venus and Pluto in Scorpio , libra in Jupiter , Saturn in Aquarius
Libra is so spot on...
As a sag growing up I always felt that more than anything else I needed my emotions validated and to be affirmed and encouraged. It was so difficult growing up without those things 😞
This was so absolutely perfect. Thank you!
I'm a Pisces and this really resonated with me. Thank you. Peace, Love and Light.
That is one sweet baby! So spot on for Taurus. Moving around so much as a kid really impacted me and my cravings for security and control.
So in ny opinion I think these are all spot on but they can also connect to more than just your star sign in your chart.
or how each signs can heal after something emotionally painful
Yes!! and a Sag needs a bike, a desk, their own writing desk and book shelf and globe.
Hey Mrs. Sharpe, motherhood looks good on you, physically and emotionally:)
My poor Pisces dad went through so much :(
I'm a Gemini and I'm a total loner and I hate big groups of people and I'm more of the artsy loner type but my moon sign is a Pisces which probably has something to do with it
Great video!
And yes, because of this lack of honesty (not only because of them breaking up) I do catch myself lying a bit.
it'll come out in time. try not to obsess. live your life.
I would love an updated version of this video!! I have a Gemini boy and going to have #2 soon!
This video is great, thank you
Your baby is so adorable!! How she/he is just sleeping there and resting on you as you talk. Too cute.
this was beautiful.
I'm a capricorn sun with a sagittarius moon, and I relate more to what you said for sagittarius.
You should do a video what do our husband need based on there sign...😊...
I totally agree with you luv and like your video. I also feel that it goes way beyond the sun sign generalities. I feel that what a child needs to emotionally grow should be watched by their Moon sign as well as their 4th house and maybe even looking at what house placement Taurus falls in their chart.
Im a pisces and this is so tru! All i ever grew up around was anger and hatred and it hurt me so much and now im insecure and depressed.
omg your baby!!!! 💙❤💛❤💛💙❤💛💜💙💚💖💗💝👪
Listening to this it makes sense that my moon Aquarius in the first house is stronger than my Sun Virgo or Rising Capricorn. I don't relate at all my childhood needs with Virgo or Capricorn but Aquarius fits 100%.
very on point! both of my children are Aquarius signs! thank you
Kayla Alvarado How do u handle your Aquarius kids? my son is so rebellious and he is one.
My oldest is very laid back. My youngest can be more of a handful. I've noticed that letting him have time to get his energy out helps with his behavior and with bedtime
So playing outside or games that work his brain. Also, I have learned that alot of times, his anger is caused by him not being able to properly communicate how he is feeling or thinking. So i try to keep my patience better during tantrums. They don't last as long now and are less frequent
Hope that helps!
That’s was amazing! It hit some of my heart strings really good. Always love watching your videos
(I might be talking out of my ass)
At least for me it did.
Holy cow! Capricorn sun here and that hit home HARD! Like Acme hammer hard.
i relate to the aries one.. maybe cuz of my aries moon?? my sisters a taurus and we were moved around a lot. it makes sense that shes very controlly now.
Physically and mentally.
spot on with the aries
spot on
Alyssa, Oh my god, how did I never see this video? Look at this little angel, she’s got to be about 5 now.
The Divine Venus a little lion cub! Kindergarten...yikes
Thank you Alyssa. Spot on! Your daughter is so precious, btw :). I had to thank my 'lucky stars' to have 2 children who share my rising sign 'Leo'. I understand they're need for attention and things 'bigger than life' at times. :D
Having the baby in the video gives this a crushing sense of depth
amen. I fkn loved it. it shows a different side of her. scorpio approved🤗💓
Just to add about Gemini child... It needs loooots of stimulation and opportunities to learn as well. (myself Gem Sun&Asc)
yah, totally agree with you, i'm a Leo with pieces moon&rising , it's very very hard growing up without my dad attention :( i did every thing being a good kid with excellent grad in school and nice behaviour , but still not enough for hem to look at me and say nice work baby girl, now as a 26 years old i'm very very very hard on my self because in my mind ( i'm not god enough ) i've been bulling as chubby kid but i recovered by my self and let it go, but me and my dad situation : No . not yet . still hurts sadly
Gemini children thrive off of communication and connections this is clearly a statement~~
Last sentence was my own failed marriage not fathers.
As for now, my daughter believe it to be true. lol
Sagittarians NEED variety with the small things in life as much as possible. Same shit day in, day out will depress us.
I feel your love Alyssa, absolutely dig your channel! And best of luck raising your beautiful child.
Alyssa can you please make a specific video on Pisces kids!!!! :)
you're so naturally stunning😍
I'm a Virgo with ascendant in Sagittarius my mother is Cancer with ascendant in Gemini we don't get along at all she always talked too much was overprotective while i was already very mature at young age while my mother still thought she was 18 i had no stability or structure only from my stepfather who's a Leo with ascendant Capricorn he could be very harsh at times and a bit structure is good but i needed freedom to develop myself but besides that I'm always in for change i go with the flow i can be very critical at the same time i can also not care at all what i needed was education as a kid i was very eager to learn but my mom didn't know much and my stepfather was impatient that made me had to do almost everything alone
that was very helpful, your awesome ..."gem rising, cap sun, cancer moon"
you were so correct at the cancer point when you said no one breaks a cancers heart more then a taurus and i know that because i am a cancer and my brother is a taurus and we hate each other so much!!!!!
