H Randi, this was one of the most useful videos I have seen. It made me realise that I always use too much ink and not enough alcohol. I also dried each little section beofre going on to the next and left the wispy bits till the end. Thank you so much.

I’m so glad you liked it 😊 it’s a common problem to use too much ink.
I used to do that tool. A little ink will go a long way

When you put all the colors down and all that ink I thought “yikes!” Shows what I know…it’s gorgeous 😍

Thank you so much for showing this technique. I’ve watched so many videos trying to figure out the wispy technique and while the other artists performed the technique they didn’t really tell what they were doing or what their main approach was. You, on the other hand, explained and showed perfectly!

Hi Randi, I’ve only just discovered your channel and love your way of demonstrating how to make the inks flow and move!!
Your art work is stunning and I thank you for sharing. I’m just a beginner and dabbling with alcohol inks, but I’m hooked already, 😊
I also have a love of trees and can spend ages when I’m out dog walking looking at the beautiful shapes they form!
Thanks again. Much love, Ann 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💕

Can’t wait to try this technique. When I make wisps, I sometimes have brass “dust” that sits on the bottom of the colored ink and it drives me nuts. It looks dirty. Your brass doesn’t do that. Thank you for sharing this technique.

You’re welcome ☺️ could be that you just need to add more alcohol before you add the brass

Are you using a hairdryer or a heat gun? I am really struggling with humidity issues these past months and am very frustrated. Do you have some advice on how to deal with AI and humidity? Is it better to use low heat, high heat, cold air or just a heat gun? Also I’ve seen that using some liquid glycerine might help as well. Thank you for any advice you can send my way. BTW I love and appreciate your paintings and teaching techniques. I find them very helpful 😊

Glad you find the videos helpful 😊 I mostly use a hairdryer, heat gun is usually a bit to hot. High humidity and ink doesn’t work well together. But you could try using cold air, either a hairdryer or an airbrush, that might help a bit.
When it’s really humid in Denmark in the summer I don’t do much alcohol ink….
I don’t have any experience with glycerine, sorry.

Thank you so much for sharing this, especially for letting us know exactly how it is done👍🏻. I also was using too much ink, the metalics were blobbing and I was making a huge mess, sort of getting to find things out. I wasted a terrible lot of expensive paper though. I brought yuppo in D5 and have since ordered naro from England, hoping it arrives soon. Either then that I have been using a bit of photo paper because it is cheep. I have mostly been using a straw and tilting - everything else has either too much or too little power. A hot air styler came today, but I fear I is too strong and even on the cold setting has a fair bit of heat. Have yet to try it out.
Your colours have so much shiney pigment in them, even when dry. Is that due to the higher quality inks that you are using?
It is very hot in Germany atm and then raining like crazy - probably the wrong weather to do AI? I'm pretty much hooked though 😁. Your work has helped me imensley, just by watching first 2 videos from you - I am so lucky to have found you!
I immediatly suscribed and want to thank you so much for the much appreciated tutortial 💕
I also love trees - I am a Kiwi and we love our trees so much. I once found an Indian Artist on you-tube and was so impressed how this man painted his trees. His name is Krupasindhu Dixit green forest acrylic painting episode #091. Please take a look, I find it amazing.
    Thank you once again 🧚🏼‍♀️💕

Sorry for not answering sooner, I’ve sadly been sick for a long time. 😌
I hope you’re still enjoying your inks and having fun 🤩 have you tried Nara paper yet?
And, so glad you find my tutorials useful

Hej Randi.

    • @randihart5731
      @randihart5731  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1
