I really like Armin's sincerity in the intro. I love his anecdotes. He's a true 'people's champion' - trance wouldn't be the same without him. He bought me a beer once, in London. I remember watching Asot 500 celebration mix, some dude from Johanesburg South Africa was like "Congrats on 500 episodes of ASOT, let's hope for 500 more!" and here we are wow and this was 4 years ago wtf while he said that back in 2011
This is awesome I wish this music was played more in the states. when you listen to this ppl don't understand the music that just assume you are speed head or like tp trip on acid. it's about the music and the love of the ppl around the world that share the same love
Funny you say this, I kinda have to listen to this when I am alone or with my kids, my wife is not a fan. I used to listen to Ghetto House Radio that would be played live on air when I lived in California and in Houston a club used to broadcast their mixes live at night, but that was about it. I do wish it was much more main stream.

memories man!! I sometimes wish i would have grown up in Europe to pursue my career in trance music production. Ive produce music for past 15 years but unfortunely USA is a bit disconnected from Trance. There are sprouts here and there of good festivals but not a lot of people to connect with that produce it. I want to go to Europe hoping within the next 2-3 years after pandemic and hit the dancefloors. Feel like i belong! My love for trance will never die...
I can relate, I lived abroad in germany for 8 years (military), got hooked on trance, came back and feel disconnected, I still listen at home and work though
@@jarrettpierce5626 my coworker was also stationed there for a while. Got hooked on trance as well and always praises Germany and their music. He listens to it at work daily. There must be something opabout germany. I must go now. Hope to soon after the pandemic.

Wow now I'm 27 and am so amazed and happy that Armin is still here to bring amazing music, culture, and to bring so many people from all walks of life together. Armin didn't slack on this mix. I love how he covered a lot of true classics chronologically in this mix. It's hard to find good mixes with the old school stuff and let it evolve towards the modern tracks flawlessly. Hopefully we will get to see episode 2001 someday lol.

While ARMIN works and lives TRANCE, Tiesto is sunbathing on the beach at Mali. Do not get me wrong. Tiesto has at least 10 Anthems that can be at every 100 tranc e EPIC list off all time. Trance is big .. it has so many subgenres like dream, ethno, progressive, energy, hard, goa, dance, vokal, uplifting, epic.. I would like to hear one retro ethno mix (1995 -2005. ) from ARMIN with more instrumental.

My brother introduced this genre to me when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, which is about 20 years ago! Also, been listening to ASOT since around episode 500! The level of nostalgia and reminiscence this recap of 20 years of trance has induced cannot be done justice by words alone. Even though a lot has changed in the world and my life in 20 years at least this music and the trance family continues to be a familiar constant! Thanks Armin for your service; these 20 years have been better because of the music you create and bring to us all!
This mix brings back so many memories. I had a ton of these vocal tracks on vinyl about 20 years ago. It reminds me of fun but lonely party days. Now that I am married with my beautiful wife and we have 2 amazing boys...this music reminds me of how far I've come from those days. I really like Armin's sincerity in the intro. I love his anecdotes. He's a true 'people's champion' - trance wouldn't be the same without him. He bought me a beer once, in London. In fact he bought a whole bunch of us drinks when he was staying at the Mal Maison before a Turnmills gig. He didn't have to. Was a sweet gesture. Legend.

Funny you say this, I kinda have to listen to this when I am alone or with my kids, my wife is not a fan. I used to listen to Ghetto House Radio that would be played live on air when I lived in California and in Houston a club used to broadcast their mixes live at night, but that was about it. I do wish it was much more main stream.

memories man!! I sometimes wish i would have grown up in Europe to pursue my career in trance music production. Ive produce music for past 15 years but unfortunely USA is a bit disconnected from Trance. There are sprouts here and there of good festivals but not a lot of people to connect with that produce it. I want to go to Europe hoping within the next 2-3 years after pandemic and hit the dancefloors. Feel like i belong! My love for trance will never die...
I can relate, I lived abroad in germany for 8 years (military), got hooked on trance, came back and feel disconnected, I still listen at home and work though

Armin didn't slack on this mix. I love how he covered a lot of true classics chronologically in this mix. It's hard to find good mixes with the old school stuff and let it evolve towards the modern tracks flawlessly.

Tiesto has at least 10 Anthems that can be at every 100 tranc e EPIC list off all time. Trance is big .. it has so many subgenres like dream, ethno, progressive, energy, hard, goa, dance, vokal, uplifting, epic.. I would like to hear one retro ethno mix (1995 -2005. ) from ARMIN with more instrumental.
Still amazed by Ferry's "Made of Love". Certain tracks never age. They only make me melancholic: the good days flew sooo quick...

My brother introduced this genre to me when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, which is about 20 years ago! Also, been listening to ASOT since around episode 500! The level of nostalgia and reminiscence this recap of 20 years of trance has induced cannot be done justice by words alone. Even though a lot has changed in the world and my life in 20 years at least this music and the trance family continues to be a familiar constant! Thanks Armin for your service; these 20 years have been better because of the music you create and bring to us all!

Now that I am married with my beautiful wife and we have 2 amazing boys...this music reminds me of how far I've come from those days.
