Just an idea, maybe could reach out to the community to submit Top Play Clips? Maybe do a bi-weekly or monthly compilation of Top Plays. Could help boost the game's popularity, help fellow TH-camr's, as well as your own channel growth. I've greatly appreciated the guides in all aspects from how to effectively play said Gundam, choke points, what a player's thought process should be, etc. It's definitely helped improve my gameplay.

I also think Gundam game's flow is way faster than OW. Faster respawn, faster movement, faster fight, which is a big win for me.
I wish the maps in gundam felt like actual gundam locations instead of generic maps
Same, if you've seen even one show you'll know that there are a variety of locations they could possibly use as maps
Other gundam games do it well, here’s hoping things like this will improve in the future, and them using more alternate suits as skins like they did with Chars zaku and the g-3
@@eternal5265 oh yeah the skins. My god do they look ugly except for g3 and char zaku. The legendary unicorn skin that is a banshee that has neon lights almost gave me cancer
The maps honestly feel repetitive specifically with only 3 modes and the same map over and over again. I think that's what Overwatch does better tho cuz the maps feel refreshing and non repetitive that's why I will play both
@@symphonixblades the only one that feels different is the harbor one and the only reason is because it feels shittier to play than the other 2 maps

Worst part of Gundam maps is how generic they are. Fighting for 5 minutes to get through a choke point would be more fun if the map looked cool. Looking at you, Harbor.

it would probably felt too un-gundam for them to have a super fancy maps like Overwatch, Doesn't help that most of them times Gundam fight took place at literal space.
but I still hopes they can took some unique places that was in the actual Gundam series. like the Tigerbaum colony (chinese-themed).
@@justarandomchannel5475 It'd be so cool to have a map in space, but the Mobile Suits are just floating around and the points are like, I dunno, a Federation spaceship or something.
@@justarandomchannel5475 They definitely don't look like Gundam maps though. We've had tons of Gundam games that have maps without Zero-G that just need tweaking to give proper cover.
Harbor shouldn't even exist when it could have been the Federation Belfast base, Jaburo Interior, Jaburo gate, or Dublin. Same sort of city feel areas with water zones, and with better visual guidance on where objectives could be places.
@@fabianoyaga8610 There's already a space map, but it's wasted in terms of design potential. Lunar Surface or Axis Surface would have been good maps. Inside Colony Laser or fighting at the docking area of a space colony would also have given you an interior area but still close to space.
One thing I feel is missing is melee. Lemme use mah beam sabers!
They should make melee use a thrust boost to make it balanced
The one thing that truly pushed me away from Overwatch, aside the toxic af community, was the ranked games. Many characters in that game were simply not viable in any way shape or form, it wasn't "part of the meta", so you'd get cussed out in VC for not choosing the right character. It didn't matter if you were aware or not. Of course Gundam Evo has its own meta, but hardly any character stands out as "unviable", and the community has been pretty fun to play against. I've only met maybe 3 tryhards out of the 12 or so hours of gameplay I've had.

100% dude. If you wanted to climb, you were shoehorned into playing the same heroes, same comp while fighting the same heroes and same comp. There was no diversity in the gameplay at all and every match just felt the same.

Guntank is certainly a character that stands out as "unviable", he can work in lower levels of gameplay but is an undeniable throw pick in higher tier or even mid tier lobbies. A lot of people seem to not know this yet though and it's rare to see someone complain about a guntank pick.
I honestly have no clue how anyone could actually be excited for OW2 right now especially with the recent info of it that's been coming out. Massive red flag is them doubling down on not only having role queue (which obviously wasn't liked and didn't work), but forced number of specific roles (2 DPS, 2 supp, 1 tank) AND trimming down team size. Just tells me they have no confidence in their balancing and that it's going to be shit again.
I really hope GE's dev's really take seriously the complaints on things like the current reward system (which is honestly its biggest problem right now) + the current server issues going on, and are able to turn things around with the steam score.
Ow2 has been a massive red flag for years, but people too addicted to the good feelings
@@Dunmuir Don't know what good feelings left since majority of the playerbase just seems to have become frustrated with what it's become. Lot of people been talking mad shit about once Oct 4th rolls around, GE is gunna get dunked on by OW2.
Its because its free, at best people just get to play a new big update for free but long term it will just go to the bin cause they didn't fix the complaints people had from OW1, F OW2 barley got through "beta" without backlash
you are on some strong ass copium if you really believe what youre saying, this is suppose to be a free game but you basically cant unlock the last 5 suits without spending 40 dollars, to top that off the 3 of the top 5 suits (exia, unicorn, and zaku melee) in the game are of those that arent unlocked. 17 total suits but only 6 are really reliable, not to mention that this game literally has TWO DIFFERENT 2CP GAME MODES, THE MOST HATED GAME MODE IN OW, all of them forcing the attacking team to spawn in a one way choke. this game was all hype and will likely be not be able to compete with ow2 for a couple years, to which by then the game will probably be very fun but too late to salvage and most likely just end up being a casual for fun game
I think what's positive about Gundam Evolution is that all units can dash, hover and Regen health, which puts more value on individual skill. Much better for solo-queuing and Genji/Exia isn't going to spam "I need healing".
My playtime dropped now that I only wanna play with friends. Too many players on my team have afked at base, 4 or 5 dudes have chases one Barbatos far from the objective, squishies rush in and get stomped or tanks hang back lol
Omg and the lemming mentality of going into a fight one by one is so annoying lol
my only issue is the nerve racking disconnect issue every end of the game. you cant even chat during games since it will kick you out lol.
What i primarily like about the game is just fragging out with rx or with anyone tbh it is tone fun just fragging people win or lose. At first i played this game like overwatch and it feels off putting but when you play it for the mobile suits that looks cool to you then the game is a ton of fun well not until someone dc's
You forget to add the horrible mmr in gundam compared to ow.
They just raise all rank to silver equally.
And worse queue experience in gundam. In ow there's replacement system if some1 dc or leave the game. Making a losing game winable. Gundam just cancels the match.

i do think OW has better maps for sure. just remember if you end up sticking with OW2 just play whatever game you like more. as long as you enjoy what you're doing. if you play both great. if you decide you wanna stick to one just do whatever makes you happy.

Yeah and seeing as how OW2 doesn't have any new maps it's just OW with one less team mate and more controlling aspects such as forcing you to play certain roles

In overwatch too many assault type characters like holysht its not even funny anymore
While other role really lack of fun
They should change the model like gundam for example reinhard is DPS like barbatos and healer can heal while shooting it more viable and fun

tbh I do wish they gave us pilot portraits for each voice pick, like they would have in other Gundam games. That way fanart could do its job. The Announcer/Operator needs a portrait too.
And Gunevo is less woke as well. For Mech won't get censored. Blizz is honorary Chinese company which has banned bikini armor since Legion....

Personally not into the characters being more standardized. I get that it makes the game more fun from a casual perspective but I like when characters have defined roles. I like to play fighting games and what initially got me interested in OW was that playing a character felt like a fighting game.
There were a lot of intricacies to each character, mastering them let you play to your character's strengths or mind game opponents even in bad match-ups, you could build team comps to maximize a character's effectiveness or create unique strategies (yes team comps are a thing in some fighting games.) It only really became a problem when they started designing characters around being hard counters, but like just don't put hard counters in the game.
Dude that hurts, people still play Paladins ya know. Saying OW and Gundam Evolution are the only 2 games closest to the tarket to each other is ouch.
Paladins is a hero shooter but still quite different
he just meant that they're more similar to each other than anything else on the market. Paladins is quite a bit different, honestly.
Time to kill in evo and overwatch feel closer to a traditional shooter while paladins feels closer to a moba IMO. I personally pref paladins the most still, but gundam gameplay is absolutely great and I would play it more often too if the way to unlock mechs didn't turn me off.
Gundam franchise has 100s of mechs whether it be unique mobile suits/armors or variations. Increasing the amount tenfold for possible roster where they only pick maybe 5 things about a unit into a playable character. So the way to unlock mechs feeling this bad for me with like 4-5 mechs to unlock will get worse for me as they add several upon several units. Including crowd or personal favorites.;
That being said I couldn't rock with overwatch at all, only character I remotely liked was sombra and it didn't feel like I could do anything without a team unlike paladins/gundam.
Personally I think Overwatch is a way better game all around. But they've had years and years to get there. As far as I'm concerned Overwatch 1 is the best and most flawless PvP game that exists, nothing is better. I can't say I'm feeling the same way about OW2. OW1 was perfect so all these new changes I personally find to be negative.
Now Gundam Evolution I exclusively started playing because it truly is an "open role queue" Overwatch clone in every single way. I truly love Gundam and Overwatch is the best PVP experience possible. So playing them in the same package is great.
I'd say Gundam Evolution still isn't at Overwatchs level of Perfection though. And the open role style of play truly is a horrible design for games like this. Overwatch truly was an awful game until we got closed role queues. I'd have to say Gundam is already equally toxic in terms of chat and names, I actually see significantly more toxicity in this area because a lack of filtering systems.
But I don't want to come off as all negative. I actually love Gundam Evolution. And with the direction of Overwatch 2 and the end of Overwatch 1 as a game. I may be moving exclusively to GE depending on whether OW kills itself at launch. I really just want to see Gundam Evolution completely open up and reach its peak to see how the longevity of the game and players play out.

How about they change the UI to not be a corbon copy of overwatch. Also there is no sense of scale. These things are suppose to be giant yet it all feels like your playing as a human in crazy body armor instead of a mech. oh wait, this is made by a chinses company.
Mobile suits aren't that big and there is scale to the cars, apcs and building being used as cover. Hell the zaku 2 can hide in patches of trees in war in the pocket
