Oh my ! So wonderful to see your beautiful petit collection one after another dear Sergio. What a treat! Thankyou! I tried to guess what your base colour was over gessoed what? Marvellous mix of textures. Then what hues next with brush? Sponge? Colour Dabbed away?wetted?inked? The tapes are marvellous,vertical,horizontal,diagonal! I love it! Then to try to guess the last colour or two. My mind is spinning with delight! What was the Cristal Palace used for originally Sergio? Was it an indoor garden and entertainment place? Must have been hot in the summer. Beautifully constructed.thanks so much for this well put together video with lovely musical accompaniment. 💖😍

For the base color, I started with a gessoed canvas and then applied textured paint using only brushes for this series. The base is black, and I played with rust, white paint, and various colors created with Sennelier ink. The Crystal Palace was built in 1887 and was originally constructed to house an exhibition of flora and fauna from the Philippines, which was then a Spanish colony. It was intended to showcase exotic plants and flowers in a greenhouse-like environment. Today, the Crystal Palace is managed by the Reina Sofía Museum and is used for contemporary art exhibitions. Its serene setting by a small lake adds to its charm, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the musical accompaniment.
