    Soooo glad more and more people find out about Coldrain! They're such an underrated band, even though they've been around for 15 years now. Their stuff never disappoints, let me tell you, Masato's got such a huge vocal range! He can sing really high but his growls, especially live, can go SO DEEP! (He's improved a lot in recent years, I'd argue they're even better live than on record). Btw, I always tell people to watch their THE SIDE EFFECTS video first because it's really demonstrating what they're about, so well done haha! So believe me when I tell you that you WON'T regret checking out their newest song "CUT ME", it's VERY hard. But because of what I said earlier: also go have a listen to their live stuff! Masato's got an amazing presence on stage... I'd say go for "Revolution - Live at Blarefest" first but tbh all their lives are amazing! Their "Coldrain TV live videos" are a must watch, too!
    Really nice reaction, dude, kudos! I don't like it either when reaction people are excessively screaming! :)

    You need to check out Coldrain Mayday ft Ryo from Crystal Lake. It is much heavier and the energy in that performance is sick.

    coldrain - FEED THE FIRE (LIVE BUDOKAN)
    coldrain - Getaway (LIVE BUDOKAN)
    The vocalist(Masato) is best mates with ONE OK ROCK's vocalist(Taka).

    omg!!! My absolute favourite Coldrain song is Gone. Please listen to that when you can!! It's amazing. It really hits hard for me. I think the best way I can describe the sound is it has a Linkin Park vibe to it. Idk. I'll always remember the first time I listened to it was because it was recommended to me on spotify and I was instantly captivated.

    Coldrain is an AWESOME band! So great to see them getting more and more recognition! I've been listening to them since waay back and they have so many great songs...their newer songs are amazing as well, but I think it would be cool if you'd check some of their old songs too! Personally, I love the songs Persona, Rise and Fall, Doors and Someday from their older stuff! Cheers!

    Yay! My kind of reactions. Coldrain is such a great band. If you want something heavier definitely check out their song FTTT. Masato has such a vocal range. He can hit those highs but his growls are ooof 🤌🏻

    The video was so gorgeous too. Very much in line with the song, the singer is also a designer, that's why, and I relate so much

    Also: some good songs
    -survive
    -no escape
    -miss you
    (Masato - the vocalist - shows his singing skills here, it’s a slow song but a beautiful one)

    Oh coldrain very nice, first time I heard them was at 2015 Soundwave festival in Adelaide (had to fly over from Perth, Soundwave was no longer coming to Perth from the previous year) Great live show, was on straight after Crossfaith who are madlads, blew over AU$400 on cds from my go to online jp music site getting all of both coldrain and Crossfaith's cd five minutes after the sets ended

    All of their MV’s have lyrics in them like this, if I’m not mistaken. Rescue Me is another of their good songs. The lead singer is also friends with Taka from One OK Rock!

    They are really good and enjoyed this a lot and excited to learn more about them. It does start off like Linkin Park but his vocals remind me of the signer from the group “I See Stars” especially the song Running with Scissors.

    Hey John, i know it's off topic but I've been following your BTS journey and I love your reactions. If you want to, you should check out Maneskin. They're an italian rock band and they've just released their new single "The Loneliest". You may have heard their cover of "Beggin'" but they have a lot of beautiful songs and I would love to see what you think.
    Greetings from Italy!!

    I might be wrong but as far as I know metal and rock music is/used to be frowned upon in Japan heavily. It’s a Western „thing“ and not part of their culture at all. Japanese people are very proud of their culture (rightly so, it’s an awesome one) and if I remember correctly some (especially older generations) take it too far. A lot people there don’t like „modernizing“ art (music, literature etc) by mixing it with other cultures or just performing art from different cultures.
    BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG HERE, take it with a pic of salt. If someone knows better or more, please correct me!
    Japanese people are very hard working and usually take „a sage route“ if possible so choosing music, a rather frowned upon genre at top of that, isn’t an easy choice to make. I believe that a lot of Japanese musicians get a harsh backlash from people around them.
    From me at least this song feels like it’s addressing these issues. It is important to maintain a country’s culture but it shouldn’t be „killing art“. There’s a fine line in between.

    • @FFmaxxx
      @FFmaxxx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure whatcha mean by frowned upon.. Jrock is a well known genre from Japan for a very long time

    • @whosincontrol6468
      @whosincontrol6468 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FFmaxxx I heard that in Japan older generations don’t particularly like Rock/metal music. And therefore don’t always agree when younger people choose the music career in this path.
      But as I said before I might be wrong. This is just what I heard and read online in the past years. Also English isn’t my first language so maybe „frowned upon“ is the wrong description.
      And I have been a fan of J-Rock/Metal since approx. 2012 so I know that it’s a popular genre overall but I can’t fully know what the image of this music is like in Japan.
      If you know more then let me know!

      @@whosincontrol6468 to be honest. I'm more than sure you're right because that's the same vibe I was getting. Japan, for lack of better words, likes uniformity and stuff like that, a nail sticking out would definitely get hammered back down in that kind of environment.
