I got one the other day, and the box is set up for permanent wiring using a hole on the back and a socket near the battery so it’s not dependent on the battery.
No internal SD slot unfortunately, it requires either their Home Base product or their cloud storage if you want to save videos to watch later. Live video works without anything else
