Dasara Day 4: On the fourth day of Navaratri at Indra Keeladri goddess Durga is worshipped as Lalitha Tripura Sundari. She is considered to be the most beautiful and blissful form of the goddess Tripura Sundari, also known as Shodashi.
Lalitha Tripura Sundari is often depicted as a 16-year-old girl, symbolizing youth, beauty, and desire.
Her worship is an integral part of the Shri Vidya tradition, a sect of Tantra that reveres the goddess as the supreme deity. Devotees believe that by meditating on her and chanting her mantras, one can attain spiritual enlightenment and liberation.
Lalitha Sahasranama, a sacred text that contains a thousand names of the goddess, is recited by her devotees as a form of worship.
