Man Chris Hero taking about its not what to teach it's HOW to teach, and saying the same thing happens in schools where some kids just get lost in the shuffle. I fuckin love Chris and Colt, Tomasso and Brian are awesome too I just don't know them as well. Thank you Highspots
Just to add to that I was lucky enough to meet Colt and Chris briefly at shows (as a fan buying merch) in the UK. Always had time to talk and would respect fans more than they had too. Great guys
Im thinking to myself "man Chiampa looks different" but this was 7 years ago before he got swole and become the character I know today. I miss Chris herom
Also Hero is like 6'4 and Colt is like 6'1 or so both like 230 or more, I think its just that most wrestlers nowadays are pretty tiny. Even Brian Meyers looks huge compared to most modern wrestlers and he is only the same height as Cabana
Funnily enough what Colt was describing towards the end is sort of what Hero became in Developmental. A player coach if you will. Probably not going to get a "main" roster call up but a quality and experienced hand to help bring up the green guys. And honestly feel that should be something used more on NXT tv now. Hire some competent experienced indy guys who before they decide to quit can be given a job to work with new talent on the tv show either as an enhancement role, or similar to how NJPW put their veteran guys (Tenzan, Nagata, etc.) wrestle the young lions on the tours.
Hero's great and all but his look, specifically his weight, held him back from the main roster. His in-ring work was great but he either couldn't or just refused to lose weight or try to find ways to mask it. In ROH when he was with Claudio/Cesaro he was in great shape and everything looked great in ring but once he started getting the pot-belly it was basically over. At that point he would have to either try to lose weight or wear something to make it less noticeable, especially with Vince at the helm. Not suggesting that no one who's bigger or fatter can't be a star in WWE but it has to fit. You can be a big guy or overweight but the weight has to be distributed in a balanced way. Looking fit for 95% of your body but your stomach is bellowing isn't a great look and makes it much more distracting.
@@chrisblair4496 the guy was like 215 and lean when He first got released! He gained it back as an eff you to Vince, then got hired again 😅. Look at Kieth Lee, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens! All of them could lose weight, especially for beneficial health reasons, but won't.
@@MrZombieTurds They are all big guys, absolutely, and as my previous reply pointed out, those three all have a balanced distribution of the weight visually. They don't look like they "got fat" more like they just are. Hero looked like he got fat, it was all stomach. His arms, legs, everything else all looked just as good as they did prior. It just isn't a good look; same thing happened to Brayden Walker/"Cowboy" Chris Harris back in ECW (WWE).
About time these came out lol can get a lil bit back from ads looking forward to alot of the older stuff around this time Kevin Steen and The Best Friends ive only got to watch pieces here n there. Is it just me but this group of talent doesn't really jell together. Dont get me wrong I for sure watched it all and enjoyed every sec
It simply show you that when you have family in the wrestling industry it's easier for you to get hired by the big league. Sucks to see that these guys gave all they have to be hired 15 years too late.
all of these guys are truly great, but Chris hero should have been a huge star.............wwe really dropped the ball on him........but then again, they drop the ball on everyone............
This was back in 2014 for those curious.
i was, thankyou, friend.
Came to the comments just for this. Thanks.
That was going to be my question. What year this is .thanx
Interesting conversation.. funny part of everyone in the room Colt had the shortest run in WWE .
im guessing life has gotten alot sadder for these guys

Lol right, Ciampa looks like a complete nerd here
Damn i cant believe Highspots is uploading all these full interviews for free
Hero & Claudio are still the best tag team I've seen this millennium
39:40 "He's been there since 09 and he still sucks" - Brian referring to Titus O Neil Lmao
At least Titus is a great guy.
Man this really gives a new perspective on Al Snow's teachings.
Oh my god. I was really surprised by how little Tommaso Ciampa is. What a wee man he is between Hero and Cabana.
To be fair this is pre beefed up nxt dad ciampa, at roh and the indy's he was smaller

Oh, hell yeah, Developmentally Speaking!
hero is such a good dude
No he is not. He eats babies for protein.

What do you think Undisputed Era is?🙃

@@MrZombieTurds Hero definitely didn't carry the weight well
10:54 where the neck problems began
Brian buries a lot of people whenever he's interviewed. It's awesome.
That's because he's so damn good and always gets underbooked. The guy deserves a world title run for his work over the years. No doubt!!
@@MrZombieTurds somebody is a major mark
it's because he's ungrateful and bitter
Brian is right all the wrestlers on the indies would probably have loved the territories
They’d be better off in a lot of ways
Could you imagine thinking a headlock/drop kick match is going to get someone over?
Ciampa talking about his neck and knowing what happened 😳
Remember when ciampa didn't give you nightmares..
Chris Hero is a good dude!
I hope Brian is willing to do developmentally speaking again some day. The Bull James episodes were terrible
Colt Cabana’s street team story 😂
Wow ciampa looks crazy different.

Chris Hero has good taste in shoes
Colt Cabana is real af.
He been in it too long not to be

No it’s tomasso ciampa
The brim on colt’s hat is SO bent
Ciampa dresses like PAC, LOL.
Why does every pro wrestling story devolve into some weird stories about sexual assault
There all underrated it pisses me off that Brian gets shifted on
30:28
You should get ICP on
Hero should b letter of dark order he has brodies look
