London bus crash: Five in hospital after 'brakes fail' on school run

A bus packed with school children careered across the central reservation of an east London road and crashed into a building after the driver was unable to use his brakes, a witness has said.
Paramedics are treating a "number" of people after the bus left the road on The Broadway in Highams Park at around 8.20am Tuesday morning.
Three children and two adults have been taken to hospital and 19 people in total were treated at the scene, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) said.
One witness who didn’t want to be named, 31, was on her way to college in the car behind the bus when she said it swerved over the central reservation and into the building.
