I have a fountain pen whose nib is 18 KGP gold, i wanna ask is, 18 kgp gold really expensive or if not expensive, is it the type of the thing one should protect.
If it said 18k gp this is gold plated and not a solid gold. If it said 18k without gp this would be solid gold it's not a fake I have two marked 18k, small and large and I paid over 1400 USD for both.
The short answer is yes, but as always it depends, If the peace you are trying to sell is very unique. For example, made by a very well known reputable maker even if it is gold plated. You could make a lot of money selling it, but if it is just something made by an unknown or not reputable maker, it's probably not going to be valued as much.
Hi., 18k stands for the gold purity used on the product but gt I'm not 100% sure, G could be for gold and P i'm not sure. I have seen GP and that would stand for the gold plated.
